I love the idea of jedi babies with psychometry just.... latching onto random things that have good memories attached and carrying it around like a teddy bear. Like baby Quin found a spatula with a memory of a kid and their parent lovingly making cookies in it and he slept with a dollar store spatula for the next 3 years. Cal found some silverware that a happy group of friends used for all of their special occasions, so his pockets end up full of comfort spoons. and forks. and butter knives.

K can you guys help me out? What's that famous (pre-raphaelite?) painting of like a figure sitting on a throne or something, the background is very sparse/stark like a beigey gold tone and the person is wearing dark blue/black, I think there's two versions one where they're just sitting there and one where they've got their head in their hands looking defeated/sad. Do you know what I'm talking about.

the sheer scale of khazad-dûm’s existance is so unimaginable…! it existed longer than any elven realm in middle-earth (from what i know), it is older than the hobbits as a whole, it saw númenor rise and then sink back into the ocean. khazad-dûm was built by the literal first dwarf that awoke, it is older than the sun and moon. it encompasses nearly all of their existance. and it was brutally taken from them!! of course they want it back!!

a post-doc was doing a guest seminar at my institute and at the beginning of his presentation he was explaining why he chose birds for his evolutionary analysis - so he said "well first of all, because birds are the best and most interesting animals and it's fun to study them" and a few professors in the room gave him a very serious nod
