Andreas Vesalius (1514–1564), one of history's most significant scientists, is associated with an unpublished third edition of one of the most influential books ever written.

When Vesalius first published his groundbreaking "De humani corporis fabrica" (On the Structure of the Human Body), the medical schools of Europe still considered the ancient texts of Aristotle and Galen as authoritative.

The large, beautiful, and historically significant "De humani corporis fabrica" marked a profound advancement in anatomy when it was published in 1543. Vesalius' illustrated work propelled the understanding of anatomy 1,300 years forward for physicians across Europe.
