🦄 - describe the sneeziest person you’ve ever met

so the sneeziest person i've met is the same guy with the longest snz fit in the 👀 ask. he used to constantly sneeze throughout the day. if he didn't sneeze once in like 4 hours, i'd be shocked. he used to get sick once every month or so as well. in his bedroom, he had his own custom tissue box on his bedstand, it was so funny. his sneezes actually sounded different depending on whether he was sick or not. his sick sneezes sounded messier and muffled as opposed to his normal ones. although he does have dust allergies, he tended to sneeze more outside for some reason? lol.

well if there's at least one or two sneezes in the sick episode, then i'll go with that one lol. there's so much more potential in fictional character than the real person if you know what i mean.

⏳ - what is the longest sneezing fit you’ve ever had? (in terms of number of sneezes, or duration of the fit, up to you!) what caused it?

so i was having a bloody nose in a house with people so i ran to the bathroom and i was using a wet wipe to clean my nose after it ended and then it somehow tickled it, so i stifled a sneeze (so no one could hear me, embarrassing) and i stifled 10 sneezes at most, then my nose started bleeding AGAIN. but i still had to sneeze for some weird ass reason. and i knew if i stifled again i would make a bloody mess, so i somehow muffled 2 more sneezed into my shirt. such a disaster i swear.

👀, 🔥?

👀  - what is the longest sneezing fit you’ve ever witnessed? technically the longest was like really long, but it was this little boy that i saw in a public place and we definitely, 100% are not doing that. so there was this boy in one of my classes that i kind of knew, but not really. we spoke before, but weren't close. one time he sneezed once (he sat behind me) and i blessed him. and then over the course of like 5 minutes he kept sneezing and sneezing like i counted it was like 19 fucking sneezes. at one point the professor stopped talking and said "do you need to go somewhere else?" and he shook his head. it was actually so hot. a little while afterwards we became friends. i found out he has dust allergies so yeah.

HELP THIS HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME. this one guy i never really noticed in class (he had a really dreamy, deep voice though) randomly was outside and he turned around and sneezed like really harshly and it sounded messy and then he turned back to his friends and said "hey, what's up guys." I FOUND IT SO CUTE AND FUNNY AND THAT SAME DAY WE BECAME FRIENDS AND NOW WE'RE SUPER CLOSE 😭

Grumpy Sneezes & Sunshine Blessings

Here are a few drabbles that I wrote from the idea in this post about Hobi saying bless you to grumpy sickies

Namjoon’s version (337 words)

“Oh– fuck–” Namjoon shudders, his entire body tensing, and then lurches forward with a congested sneeze that he aims into an overly-used wad of tissues in his waiting hands. He then glares preemptively at Hoseok, who looks far too cheerful for how early in the morning it is.  

“Don’t fucking say it,” Namjoon gasps out as he recovers from the sneeze, his nostrils still flaring in the aftermath. 

Hoseok blinks innocently, the corners of his mouth twitching. “Say what?”

Namjoon shivers and Hoseok reaches out to cup the side of his face. 

“You’re feeling a bit warm–” 

He’s cut off by a trembling inhale from Namjoon. Blinking rapidly, Namjoon’s face scrunches up, and he pulls away from Hoseok’s hand just in time to sneeze again. 

Hoseok pulls a tissue out of the box and hands it over. Namjoon takes it and presses it to his runny nose, sniffling frantically, slightly out of breath, and shoots Hoseok a warning look, but it goes ignored and Hoseok grins.

“Bless you!” 

Namjoon’s shoulders sag. He coughs, and Hoseok’s hand finds his overheated face once more.

“I think you’re running a fever,” he tells Namjoon. “Why don’t you get some rest?” 

With a wet sniffle, Namjoon’s eyes meet his, and this time all of the annoyance in his expression is gone, replaced by pure exhaustion.

“Okay.” 

Hoseok helps him to bed, tucking him under the covers and setting the tissue box within reach. Namjoon curls up on his side, coughing, and he shivers when Hoseok cards his fingers through his hair. 

As Namjoon shifts around to find a more comfortable position, he sneezes again, a tired sound muffled into his sleeve. 

Hoseok can’t help himself. He whispers, “bless you,” and Namjoon rolls his eyes with a groan.

“Leave me to sneeze in peace,” he begs.

Hoseok nods once. “Okay, okay. Rest well. I will be checking on you in a few hours.”

Namjoon fakes a snore, and Hoseok chuckles, bending down to press a kiss to his forehead before he leaves.

Yoongi’s version (512 words)

Yoongi feels as though he could collapse at any second. Preferably, in his own bed and preferably, after taking some medication that might help with the relentless congestion plaguing his sinuses and the fever that’s coursing through his body.

He stops short in the doorway of his room, almost dizzy with the abruptness of the movement, and clenches his jaw; there, sound asleep in the middle of his bed, is Hoseok.

Yoongi can’t fucking believe it. Hoseok has his own damn bed. But he’s too tired to deal with him, and so he stomps over to the bed and instead of waking Hoseok up to kick him out, he climbs into the bed beside him.

He’s not exactly gentle as he moves around to find a comfortable position, yanking the blankets up to cover himself and causing Hoseok to stir next to him. Hoseok’s not the one who’s sick and has just had his bed stolen, though, so Yoongi doesn’t care if he wakes him up. When he feels a sneeze coming, he lets it out, and the sound echoes throughout the quiet of the bedroom. 

“Bless’ya,” Hoseok mumbles in his sleep.

“Don’t bless me,” Yoongi hisses, still feeling irritated that Hoseok is even here in the first place. He sneezes again, and Hoseok rolls over and latches onto him, one arm draped over his waist. A third sneeze, and he can sense Hoseok waking up even more.

“Bless you,” comes Hoseok’s sleepy reply.

“Fuck off.”

A soft, shaky exhale that sounds like too much of a laugh, and then, “No.”

“Hoseok, shut the fuck up. I’m trying to sleep.”

Now, Yoongi can feel Hoseok moving next to him, clearly more awake. “Well, me too, but then you started sneezing.”

“Why the fuck are you in my bed?”

There’s a soft sigh, the sound of Hoseok rubbing his face. “You said you were cold and achy earlier. I thought we would cuddle so I could keep you warm and comfy.” He pauses, sighs again. “I fell asleep waiting here for you. I can leave.” 

But he doesn’t leave. He just lies there, a warm presence against Yoongi’s body. Yoongi rolls onto his side, facing away from Hoseok, and frowns deeply, fighting against the swirl of emotions in his gut he can’t possibly begin to comprehend when he’s feeling so miserable. 

Hoseok pulls the blankets up around Yoongi’s shoulders and tucks him in, then begins to rub his back. Yoongi hates to admit that it feels nice and comforting, but after a few moments Hoseok’s hand slows, and then comes to a complete stop. He hears a yawn, and then Hoseok’s hand moves from Yoongi’s back, his arm falling back down onto the bed. His breathing is slow and even, and for a moment Yoongi thinks he must have fallen back asleep. 

His nose twitches, and though he tries to suppress it, another sneeze shakes his body.

“...bless’ya,” Hoseok murmurs, and then less than a minute later he’s asleep, the sound of his soft snores floating throughout the air.Yoongi almost– almost– smiles.

Seokjin’s version (436 words)

Hoseok rests his forehead against the windowpane with a sigh. Outside, there’s a bird making lazy circles in the sky, and a light breeze rustles through the branches of the tree in the front yard, sending cherry blossom petals floating down toward the ground. 

He watches in amusement as several petals land in Seokjin’s hair, and a moment later, Seokjin lurches forward, back curving and head bobbing with what must be his twentieth sneeze in the past hour. The old, rickety bench he’s sitting on wobbles with the force of it and Hoseok dearly hopes it doesn’t give out and fall apart while Seokjin’s out there sneezing his head off. 

Pulling his sunglasses down from the top of his head and onto his face, Hoseok stands and makes his way to the front door. Seokjin doesn’t acknowledge him as he approaches, too busy sneezing once again. 

“Bless you! Whatcha doing out here?”

Seokjin gives him a look that’s mostly a glare, his nostrils flaring. “Just thinking.” 

“Mm. Looks like you’re doing a lot more sneezing than thinking.” 

“Can’t I be doing both?” Seokjin huffs, eyebrows furrowed. “Leave me alone.” He sneezes immediately after, and Hoseok grins.

“Bless you.” 

Seokjin rolls his eyes, doing nothing to hide his annoyance. "I don't need your blessings, Hoseokie." He wipes his nose on the back of his sleeve. "I need tissues." But even as he says it, he lets out a sigh and leans into Hoseok's embrace when his arm is wrapped around his shoulders.

Another breeze shakes the leaves above them and cherry blossom petals fall around them like snow. 

Seokjin sneezes once again.

“Ble–”

“Don’t say it.” 

“Alright, alright.” Hoseok chuckles. “Tissues are inside. C’mon, let’s go.” 

They make their way inside, and as soon as Seokjin plops himself down at the kitchen table where a box of tissues is waiting for him, he buries his head in his arms with a flurry of sneezes that leave him sniffly and red-faced.

Hoseok sits down next to him and receives a glare in return.

Seokjin sneezes again, this time reaching for a tissue. His eyes and nose are streaming.

Hoseok pushes the tissue box a little closer, reaches out to rub Seokjin’s arm as he lifts the tissue to his red nose. 

He’s never seen Seokjin look so grumpy before.

It doesn’t deter him at all. Seokjin’s nostrils flare, and Hoseok pats his shoulder, waiting in anticipation for the sneeze to come out for almost a full minute before it finally explodes out of Seokjin like a cannon. 

He smiles sympathetically in the face of Seokjin’s annoyance. 

“Bless you!”

Like what if in Enhypen Jungwon isn't actually the sneeziest member, but his sneezes are almost always caught on camera. What if it's actually Sunghoon or Sunoo that sneeze the most and it's just all off camera

bts "bless you" - irl vs. my head cannons

inspired by the bless you bangtan video that @btsnz made a while back (jungkookie at the very end is my fave hehe)

namjoon irl: on occasion will say bless you, but only during an interview or if someone else says it first my namjoon hc: very rarely, but sometimes catches himself saying it more often if hoseok is saying it a lot around him recently

seokjin irl: no my seokjin hc: very rarely, and usually only if he’s alone with the sneezer. doesn’t bless anyone in a group setting

yoongi irl: no my yoongi hc: says “bless” instead of “bless you”, but only very quietly and pretty much only to his hoba or his jungkookie. and on rare occasions to namjoon and taehyung. and on even rarer occasions to seokjin and jimin

hoseok irl: says bless you to most sneezes my hoseok hc: says bless you to every single sneeze for every single person, even if he has to whisper it or mouth the words. he WILL bless you. and everyone will know it.

jimin irl: no my jimin hc: sometimes, but it really depends on the day and the person. says it more often to taehyung and jungkook and less often to his hyungs

taehyung irl: no. he does not hear sneezes that are not louder than 200 dB my taehyung hc: no. see above.

jungkook irl: blesses one sneeze, one time, because he randomly remembered that his hobi-hyung and namjoon-hyung say bless you, and then smiles and is very pleased with himself  my jungkook hc: every few months he’ll go on a bless you kick and bless every single sneeze that happens in his vicinity. when this happens, he’s very aware of the sneezer’s needs and tries to make sure he has a tissue to offer with each blessing. then he forgets about bless yous for a half a year

can you do a fic where hobi’s nose is sensitive to make up brushes. hobi’s makeup artist comes in to do his makeup for a concert and he’s sneezy due to the brush/powder getting into his nostrils.

Title: Makeup 

Word Count: 1262

Sickie: Hoseok (snz/allergies)

Caretakers: Jimin, Taehyung, Jungkook

Hoseok is looking down at his phone when he feels a gentle hand on his shoulder. He looks up briefly, gives a smile, looks back down at his phone. 

Time for makeup. It's the best time to check through his emails, when he’s already stuck sitting down– it makes it easier for the person doing his makeup if he doesn’t talk and move around throughout the process, which is his natural state of being. So, boring emails it is, until he usually gives up and closes his eyes and just tries to rest through it instead.

Today, he gets sidetracked by social media, and he’s scrolling through picture posts when he’s caught off guard by a gentle swipe of a makeup brush right across one side of his nose. 

Ohh, it tickles. It tickles badly. Hoseok has always had a sensitive nose. All it takes is one little touch, and everyone knows it, knows that the slightest brush of a fingertip against his septum can make his nose twitch, that a tap to the tip of his nose makes his eyelashes flutter and his breath hitch, that the edge of a tissue hovering beneath his nostrils only needs to gently graze the skin to be ticklish enough to make his nose quiver.  

That a makeup brush can set him off sneezing within seconds.  

Combine the prickly bristles of a brush and the itchy powder that the makeup artists use and it’s like striking a match to light a fuse– once the spark ignites it, there is no turning back. A sneeze is inevitable. It’s just a matter of how long the fuse is, how long he can hold back the explosion that’s coming. 

“Hh-! hhH!” He feels his face heat up when he has to open his mouth to let air in– he doesn’t dare try to take any air in through his nose, not with the fine powder that he can see swirling in the air in front of him– and he makes an audible sound, almost like a gasp. 

His eyes are watering almost immediately as he looks up at his reflection in the mirror, and that’s when he realizes that he’s never seen the person doing his makeup before. They’re new, possibly, which means they might not know about how sensitive his nose is.

It explains why, a moment later, they hold the powder level with his face and dab the brush into it several times, sending a puff of the substance into the air. 

“Oh–! Khh!” Hoseok jerks away, a ticklish cough bursting out. He can feel the powder filling his mouth and nose, gritty and coating every surface it can stick to.  

Hoseok isn’t really sure why he decides to try to hold the sneeze back, except that he feels a rush of embarrassment at being so affected in front of someone who doesn’t know how sensitive he is. 

He pushes air out of his nose, a half-snort that makes his face heat up even more, and then holds his breath.

The makeup artist, completely oblivious to his dilemma, stirs up a bit more powder and then begins applying it to the tip of his nose. 

“hhh..hihh! hh-hhHHH…”

He can’t help the tiny little sounds he makes in reaction, more breathy gasps and a sound almost like a whimper that finally catches the attention of the makeup artist.

They look Hoseok in the eye.

“Sorry,” he murmurs, chancing a sniffle. He can feel the burning, ticklish sensation on the inside of his nose, all the way to the back of his sinuses.

The makeup artist, frowning in confusion, drops their gaze and picks up the brush again. 

Hoseok grips the armrests of his chair so tightly his knuckles begin to turn white.

The next swipe of his brush is just under his nose, across his upper lip, catching his left nostril and then his right as it passes beneath his nose, and Hoseok’s eyes slam shut on reflex.

“Huhh! uhHHH–!” He sucks in a mighty breath and realizes there’s no holding anything back now. “Khht–” He wrenches away, twisting to the side just in time for– “hhhHAATCH’shiii!” 

“Oh!” The makeup artists lets out a startled laugh. 

But then, they pick up the brush and go right back in to work, and it’s not enough time for Hoseok to compose himself, not enough time to attempt to sniff back the remaining tickle in his nose. Through watering eyes, he watches the bristles of the brush swipe back and forth over the powdery substance, swish swish swish, and he doesn’t know if the next sneeze starts before or after the makeup artist begins applying it to his face again. 

“hhhHHH-AASHCH!”

Wrenching his eyes open, Hoseok is met with the sight of the makeup brush hovering just in front of his nose. He goes nearly cross-eyed looking at it, eyelashes fluttering as the next sharp tickle overtakes him– there’s powder swirling in the air, illuminated in the bright lights of the mirrors. 

His eyes roll upward.

“huh-SHIII! ahhh’HSHHshoo!”

“Hobi-hyung?”

“HATCHSH!”

He feels someone spin his chair around.

“hatch-shee! HHH-itchsh! hhATCHSH!”

There’s a hand rubbing his back, and he squints one eye open to see Jimin standing in front of him. 

“Blow your nose,” Jimin instructs, holding out a handful of tissues. “No rubbing.”  

He does, sneezing halfway through, and when he’s done he’s panting heavily. Jimin leans in, using a fresh tissue to dab gently at the corners of his eyes where tears are leaking out. 

Jimin has a tube of something in his hands. He untwists the cap and puts some of the liquidy substance on the tip of his ring finger. “Close your eyes,” he says, and Hoseok does. A second later he feels Jimin dabbing something beneath his left eye, then his right. 

When he opens his eyes, he sees that Taehyung and Jungkook are standing in front of him too.

“Do his nose last,” Taehyung instructs. “I think we just need to redo this side of his eyeliner and then he should be good to go.”

Jungkook hands him eyeliner and nods. “Three minutes to go. We’ve got this.” 

Taehyung leans in. “Close your eyes for a sec?”

Hoseok closes his eyes and sniffles. He feels like he could sneeze another half a dozen times or so, but for some reason the makanes hovering around him and helping fix his makeup is distracting enough that it's not such an urgent need all of a sudden. 

After Taehyung is done with his eyeliner, Jungkook hands him yet another tissue. “If you have to sneeze, go ahead. Just don’t rub your nose and don’t scrunch up your face too much, because the eyeliner is still drying.”

Hoseok nods obediently and Jimin leans in with more of the liquid makeup, which Hoseok now recognizes as concealer. He’s careful as he applies it, not taking longer than necessary and keeping his touch firm enough that it’s not too ticklish against his nose.

Hoseok still has to sneeze anyway, and he waves Jimin off with a shaky warning. “Hh-hold-on– hhhAAHSH!”

“Okay,” Jimin says, capping the concealer and wiping his fingertip off on a tissue. “Stage ready. You good, Hobi-hyung?”

Hoseok slumps back in his chair, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes for a moment, composing himself and making sure he’s not going to burst into a fit of sneezes the second they get on stage. He opens his eyes, sits up, and nods. “Ready. Thank you.”

Jungkook grins and Taehyung claps him on the shoulder. 

“Let’s get it!”

Seokjin's Hayfever

Title: Seokjin's Hayfever

Word Count: 618

Sickie: Seokjin (snz/allergies)

Caretakers: Jungkook

Seokjin is really, really regretting the choices he has made up to this point in his life so far– the two current biggest regrets being trying to catch his fall yesterday with his hand, and going outdoors in the middle of hayfever season. 

The first one is the reason he’s wearing his arm in a sling, all thanks to a dislocated shoulder.  

The second is the reason he cannot stop sneezing for the life of him. 

Even though the dislocated shoulder is by far more painful, the sneezing has him feeling all prickly. The prickling in his sinuses correlates, a gritty, tickly feeling he’s only ever felt with his hayfever. Even though he just finished a round of sneezing, there’s another one coming and he’s absolutely helpless to it. 

He’s probably going to need more tissues first. He stands, then has to pause for a second as his eyelashes flutter and his head tips back.

“HDTCHshuh!”

The sneeze sends him stumbling forward into the chair he’d just been sitting in. Another sneeze builds immediately, more powerful than the first, and he clamps a hand over his mouth and nose just in time– 

“Hh-HDSHSHOO!”

When Seokjin looks up, his eyes are watering and itchy, and Jungkook is standing in the entrance of the kitchen watching him. 

“Are you allergic to something in here, hyung?” He asks Seokjin curiously, eyes big and round as he watches Seokjin sniff hard in an attempt to quell the tickle in his nose. 

“It’s hayfever,” Seokjin responds sharply, feeling prickly again. 

“Oh.” Jungkook sucks his bottom lip between his teeth. “Do you need anything?” 

What Seokjin needs is for his shoulder to heal and for his sinuses to stop burning. There’s another sneeze trying to get out, and he blinks rapidly and presses his tongue to the roof of his mouth in an attempt to stop it. The last thing he needs is to lose complete control right here in the kitchen in front of Jungkook. He’s embarrassed just thinking about the possibility.

“Hyung?”

“I’m f-fine,” he says quickly, breath a little shaky, denying any help from Jungkook. He somewhat regrets it when Jungkook’s eyes widen even further in surprise at his tone. 

“Let me know if you change your mind,” Jungkook says softly after a moment, voice quiet and almost timid. He gives Seokjin a small smile and then starts chewing on his lip again, tongue darting out to swipe over his lip piercing. He turns to go, hesitating just a little like he wants to say something else, but then he leaves.

Seokjin brings his right hand up so he can dig his knuckles into the side of nose, trying desperately to chase the itch away, but he can feel the burning in his sinuses grow. As soon as the sound of Jungkook’s retreating footsteps fade completely, Seokjin grabs onto the chair for support and absolutely loses all control, sneeze after sneeze exploding out of him. 

“HPSHSH! HDTCHshuh! Hih-ISHSHOO! Heh– ehhh-HCHSHOO! HDSH-uhh!”

Instinctively, Seokjin tries to bring both hands up to his face to cup them over his mouth and nose, but he’s painfully reminded that his left arm is still in a sling and his shoulder throbs in protest. 

He curses to himself and pinches his nose shut. If he can get to his room, where there is surely a box of tissues, he can lie in his bed and sneeze in peace. He’s only a little surprised when he gets in there and finds both a box of tissues and allergy pills that look suspiciously like the ones Jungkook takes sitting on his nightstand.

He’ll have to thank Jungkook later. And apologize. But first, he has some sneezing to do.
