When a Family Member Gets Sick
Tumblr media
“Honey, where’s that rest stop?” How often have we heard that question or asked it ourselves? It happens to all of us; we’re traveling and suddenly, we’re not feeling so well. We race to the nearest exit.
Perhaps it’s us, or maybe it’s a family member. One thing is sure: we all know what it’s like to get sick away from home. To say it’s horrible is an understatement; it’s definitely not what we planned. Even trips to the most accommodating RV Parks are not illness-free.
What do we mean by “getting sick”? Well, there are many kinds of “sick.”
Routine Illness
When we say “routine” illness, we mean those ugly days and nights when the stomach bug and cold come calling. You know it will pass in time, but when it hits, you’re miserable.
Even the most oversized recreational vehicles have less than 400 square feet of space. It may look huge, but it’s a tiny home. It’s almost impossible to keep from spreading your illness in an enclosed space. Some ideas for family “survival”:
Include a thermometer in your first-aid kit.
Keep a first-aid kit and medicine on hand where you can find it; include aspirin, ibuprofen and Tylenol; Pedialyte; Gatorade; Immodium and Pepto-Bismol.
Get a list of local doctors, urgent care centers, and hospitals.
If possible, isolate the sick person and send the rest of the family outdoors or to the lounge area of the RV park’s building, at least during the day.
It’s not unheard of to get a hotel room nearby for the person who is under the weather.
Let fresh air into the cabin if possible.
Don’t forget to pack some comfort food for sour stomachs: ginger ale, soda crackers, and applesauce.
Accidents, Injuries, and Emergencies
Exploring the country in your RV is often called “adventure travel.” Sometimes you get more adventure than planned – sprains, cuts, falls, and broken bones happen, and never in the most convenient places. And what about appendicitis or other emergency surgery?
Where are you? If you must call 911, can you give an address and describe where you are well enough that an ambulance can find you? Keep the paperwork given to you at check-in so you can read your location to the dispatcher.
Take first-aid training and a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course, because you never know. Basic first-aid knowledge is always a good idea.
Stinging Things
Because you’ll be in intimate contact with nature, keep Benadryl handy for allergy attacks and bee stings. If someone in your group has a severe allergy, know precisely where the Epi-pen is and how to use it.
Mobility Issues
Know options for managing a broken leg or other injuries that affect mobility. What if a friend or family member falls, breaks a knee, and ends up in a wheelchair for three weeks? Then what?? You may need to move from your RV to a motel.
Traveling with Medical Needs
Don’t let problems like a chronic disease or lack of mobility keep you home.
Chronic diseases. We’re talking about everything from Type 1 and 2 diabetes to lupus and high blood pressure.
As you plan, identify each location and the medical help available in the area. Use a pharmacy with nationwide coverage so you can have your prescriptions filled.
Designated Drivers?
When we think of designated drivers, our first thought might be alcohol-related, but it can also mean those who will drive in an emergency.
That’s why someone else must be able to step in and get the rest of the group home safely.
The main reason for traveling is to have fun. But it won’t be much fun if you’re sick, so having a backup plan is key.
Staying healthy and safe on the road means preparing for the unexpected, just in case. Selecting an RV Park where the staff is always ready to help you find the supplies or medical help needed can make all the difference.

How Long Does Probate Take?
Tumblr media
Photo by Melinda Gimpel on Unsplash
There's no more crucial time to need an attorney than when a loved one dies. What were the deceased person's wishes? Did the person leave a will? Who will get what? What's next? How long will the probate take? There's so much to do, and even though we loved the person and grief takes center stage, it's normal to feel like life is interrupted.
We've all been through it; the phone rings. You answer, and the voice on the other end drops a bomb. Your family member, friend, colleague, or significant other is gone.
The shock hits us like a sledgehammer, even if we know it's coming. The next few days, and sometimes weeks, are a blur; after all, there's so much to do; and so many details—things like planning a funeral, consoling loved ones, reading the will, and yes, the dreaded probate.
You walk around in a mental fog, and why wouldn't you? So what makes you think you can tackle the legal issues by yourself?
None of us will live forever; it's the circle of life, but still, it's a blow. Sometimes you can barely function, much less deal with legal matters. That's where a probate attorney comes in. Someone has to guide us through the days to come.
What Is Probate, Anyway?
What does "probating an estate" mean? And how long does the probate process take? These questions are often asked for the first time after a family member, friend, or colleague passes.
The best definition of "probate" is from the American Bar Association:
"Probate is the formal legal process that gives recognition to a will and appoints the executor or personal representative who will administer the estate and distribute assets to the intended beneficiaries. The laws of each state vary."
Did that help? In Texas, the probate process looks at the person's "estate" and settles the estate's business. The estate includes everything (everything!) the person owned, including money, real estate, belongings, and any debts.
The whole point of the probate process is to sort out all the financial details and determine what debts the estate owes, pay the remaining bills, and decide what assets remain and who will ultimately receive them. It can be a complex and emotional process, but ensuring everything goes smoothly, fairly, and transparently is necessary.
Why Is The Court Involved?
Yes, there are courts established to take care of this process. Federal and Texas laws are complex and meant to protect the deceased person's interests (the estate) and the interests of heirs and beneficiaries. Here are some things that make probate complicated:
Probate is not always necessary. Some assets can transfer from the estate to beneficiaries outside the probate process. They can include:
Community property
Joint tenancy property
Some bank accounts
Some life insurance policies
Survivor benefits from an annuity or pension
In Texas, when there's a will and an executor, the executor can take as long as four years after death to file for probate.
How Long Will It Take?
The time it takes to go through this process depends on how well the deceased person planned.
Did the person have a will, and can it be found?
What if there is more than one will? Which one is valid?
Did the person leave things that are "outside" the probate process?
Did the person keep good financial records, or will someone need to sort through everything to pay the remaining bills and determine what investments are out there?
If the person left things to specific people, who are they? Where do the heirs live?
Are there instructions for how to administer the estate? (There are different rules for independent and dependent administration.)
Are there disagreements between family, friends, or business colleagues about who should receive inheritances?
Probating a will can take about six months, assuming the deceased person left a will, was organized, and there's no fighting about who should get what. Even so, the process requires legal knowledge that many of us lack.
It can be difficult to honor the deceased person's wishes. That's what the probate does and why most of us need to consult an experienced probate attorney to represent the desires of the person who passed on accurately and to protect the estate.
There is no way to prepare us for losing a loved one, but knowing some of the procedures can make the process go more smoothly for everyone and even lessen the time it takes.

Holidays Are Apple Days
Tumblr media
Photo by Aarón Blanco Tejedor on Unsplash
You’ve heard it said that an apple a day may keep the doctor away. It's a simple and easy way to take care of your health. Plus, apples are delicious, and there are so many different varieties. But it won't keep the snackers away. Not if you love apples. And who would even think of entering the holidays without apples on the menu?
With thousands of producers growing millions of bushels every year and over 200 varieties to choose from, the benefits are bountiful, and there's an apple out there for every taste preference. From tart to sweet and green to red, this versatile fruit has something for everyone to enjoy.
You could take the first step to growing your apples just in time for holiday gifting. Mention this favorite fruit, and the apple opens the door to so much creativity that you’ll wonder why you don't have an apple tree. Not that you couldn't: plenty of nurseries provide edible food; you only have to pay a visit and ask questions. And when you think of food prices these days, it makes sense to get out your shovel.
How can you use apples? Let us count the ways. Actually, the possibilities are endless. Even so, here's a starter list:
Coleslaw a la Red Delicious - Use your favorite coleslaw recipe and add diced apples and red onions. Serve with a smile since the bowl will be empty.
Fuji Chicken Salad - Diced or sliced baked chicken with a drizzle of coleslaw dressing, candied pecans, chopped celery, red onion, and diced Fuji apples (remove the peel). Serve with a cornbread muffin, then wait for the compliments.
Golden Delicious and highly nutritious - This satisfying apple makes a tasty turkey sandwich. As a real treat for sandwich lovers, here's a great recipe. Sliced turkey breast, thin sliced Golden Delicious Apples, and honey mustard with a slice of bacon served on wheatberry bread.
Granny Smith applesauce - Are you aware that most people have no idea what fresh applesauce is? Open a jar and pour it in a bowl if you have to, but growing your own Granny Smith Apple Tree will have you begging for more. Begging! More, please! Try this no-fail happiness-on-a-plate:
Core, peel, and dice some Granny Smith apples.
Add to a saucepan with water (just enough to cover the apples), bring to a hard boil, then add half a stick of butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
For an extra special treat, add a half teaspoon of allspice.
Serve with pork chops, pork loin, or pork roast. Or spoon over vanilla ice cream and top with roasted sunflower seeds or pecans.
Warning: if company's coming, you'll want to make more. You don't want to run out, which is highly likely if you try to ration this side dish.
Honeycrisp - Who needs lunch when you can have crunch? The Honeycrisp is perhaps the tastiest of the apple family, bursting with crisp, juicy yumminess. Consider this one the perfect snack with whole wheat crackers and sharp cheddar cheese. Warning: highly addictive.
Gifting - Any apples from your homegrown tree make a fantastic basket, ripe for gift-giving.
Are you still trying to decide what to give your new neighbors? It can be tough to come up with the perfect welcome gift, but plenty of options exist. Welcome them to the neighborhood with fresh apples, muffins, crackers, and cheese. They will remember you, especially if you show up while they're still unpacking boxes.
While you're at it, ask if you can have a tree delivered right to your neighbor's door, or your door. Better yet, have a tree delivered to someone you love! Of course, this is just a start; you'll develop tons of unique ideas for using your life-sustaining and edible trees in no time.

How to Use Meta Data
Tumblr media
Photo by Adeolu Eletu on Unsplash
Ah, the elusive metadata. While it sounds like something out of the latest science fiction film, metadata is an integral component of every SEO strategy. Why? Because meta tags provide important data about your website/webpage to search engines like Google to increase your visibility and help you rank better.
Here are answers to the most commonly asked questions about metadata.
What is Metadata?
Going back to our original question: what is metadata? Metadata are invisible codes that send vital information about your web page to local search engines - such as Google - regarding how it should be displayed in search results.
Types of Meta Tags There are six main types of meta tags:
Meta Titles
Meta Descriptions
Meta Robots
Meta Charset
Meta Viewport
Meta Refresh Redirect
But don’t worry - you’re not going to have to use ALL of these. In fact, there are some types of meta tags you should avoid altogether. Here is a breakdown of the different types of meta tags, including why they’re useful (and likewise, not useful) to your RV park SEO strategy:
Meta Titles
Just like the title of a book, a meta title lets web visitors know what the webpage is about. When a customer submits a search query to Google, the search engine will go ahead and suggest thousands of relevant websites for them to select from. The meta title not only helps attract potential web visitors/customers, but will also provide valuable insight into what the webpage will be about.
RV park owners need to keep in mind that crafting a meta title isn’t always as easy as it looks. For example, you should keep the titles concise. Furthermore, you can’t use the same meta title you developed for one page for another. This is one area in which companies may need help.
Meta Descriptions
Your meta description is just as important to optimizing your SEO as your meta title is. This is the description that displays underneath the title when your site comes up in search engine results. Your meta description must be a concise and accurate depiction of the content on your page.
Previously, the rule of thumb for meta descriptions was that the optimum number of characters was anywhere between 150 to 165 characters. A recent update on Google has allowed for longer snippets to be displayed, somewhere between 300 to 320 characters. It’s recommended that you frontload your meta descriptions with your most important text (aka keywords) within the first 150-165 characters.
Meta Robots
Let’s say you only want specific pages for your site indexed on search engines. This is where the robot meta tag comes in. With this specific meta tag, you can designate which pages get indexed or followed by simply adding commands such as “noindex, nofollow” to a robot's meta tag. If you don’t utilize this tag, by default all of your pages will be indexed and followed.
So why would you want to use this? There might be pages on your site that, while they might be essential, are a bit thin in terms of content and you don’t want them to be indexed in a search.
Meta Charset
In simple terms, the meta charset lets the browser know how characters should be displayed on your page. How exactly does this affect your SEO? While it might not have a direct effect on your rankings, it can cause issues that keep you from generating more traffic. Not only will search engines have trouble understanding your content, but people may not want to link to your page.
Meta charsets may also encourage a high bounce rate and low dwell time, because your page may look broken to someone. To be fair, issues with your charset are not the end of the world with their effect on traffic to your site and can be an easy fix if you implement a meta charset on all of your pages.
Meta Viewport
The meta viewport tells your browser how a page is displayed on different screen sizes, including on a desktop, tablet, or phone. This actually plays a significant role in terms of how your site is ranked. Starting in 2015, Google started ranking more mobile-friendly sites higher on mobile searches.
If your page loads up as the desktop version on mobile, people are more inclined to click away from it. This is because, on mobile, a desktop site is harder to read and harder to navigate, creating a less optimal experience for your user. Including a meta viewport tag can help your site rank higher on multiple devices and make your site easy to use on any device.
Meta Refresh Direct This meta tag tells the browser to redirect your user to another URL after a certain amount of time has passed. It’s highly recommended that you do not use this unless it is absolutely necessary. They can be confusing to your user, even raising security concerns.
Some pages need to be parsed before moving along to the new URL, which can be time-consuming. The most important reason is that these kinds of redirects are not supported by all browsers. While Google does understand refresh directs and has no issue with them, not all browsers are created equal, and this can cause a lot of headaches for your user.
If you need to redirect, we recommend going with a 301 redirect instead and avoiding this practice at all costs. Only use meta refresh directs if you absolutely need to and have no other options.
Why are Meta Tags Important?
Meta tags are important because they provide search engines and visitors with more information about the content of your site and help you rank better. If you optimize your tags to show off the more important parts of your site, it will allow your webpage to stand out more in a search.
Search engines favor sites that are more friendly to the user, including being able to answer someone’s question the easiest. Meta tags ensure that your content is displayed in a way that is easy for the customer to digest and use.
As previously mentioned, different kinds of meta tags take on different roles in how your page is displayed in a search engine. Although not all of them affect SEO, they are all important to help your site get properly indexed and make your site more appealing to potential visitors when they are searching for information.

Commercial Pipeline Repair Protects Small Businesses
Cured-in-Place Pipe Repair (CIPP)Slip LiningCost-effectiveEco-friendlyMinimally DisruptiveSustainableDurable
Commercial pipeline repair is an essential part of property maintenance as it helps to ensure the safe transport of materials like water, sewage, and chemicals. It is also an effective way to maintain the pipeline’s integrity, which can prevent leaks and further problems. Pipeline specialists can fix pipe issues and prevent extensive damage with the right tools, techniques, and expertise.
Small businesses can benefit from commercial pipe repair as it helps them maintain the integrity of their pipe systems. It can also prevent otherwise avoidable issues like water damage, mold, and structural damage.
Read on as we explore some of the ways commercial pipe repair protects small businesses:
What is Commercial Pipeline Repair?
Commercial pipe repair is the process of restoring failing pipes in commercial settings. Commercial pipelines carry a variety of materials, such as gas, oil, water, and chemicals. The repair process involves locating the damage, isolating it, and reinforcing the line.
There are two primary forms of commercial pipe repair, namely:
Trench pipe repair
Trenchless pipe repair
Trench Pipe Repair
Trench repair requires an expert team to dig the entire line to replace it. It often involves partially or wholly destroying property and landscape to allow them access to the line. Trench repair usually incurs a small fortune in repairs and replacements.
Trenchless Pipe Repair
Trenchless pipe repair is a pipeline restoration technique experts use to remediate damaged pipes with minimal damage. It comprises several noninvasive procedures that can safely repair underground lines.
Here are some trenchless pipe repair methods in use today:
CIPP is a form of trenchless repair that experts use to reinforce a damaged pipe from within. They impregnate the aged line with resin, expand it with water or air pressure, and cure it with heat or UV light. CIPP is particularly beneficial for commercial and industrial property, as it minimizes damage and downtime.
Essentially, pipeline specialists use a flexible epoxy liner to reline the existing pipe, forming a protective layer from within and sealing out cracks and leaks.
Slip lining is a pipe replacement method that experts use to repair or reinforce old pipelines. It involves inserting a smaller diameter pipe into the aged line, renewing, and repurposing it. For instance, experts can repurpose a gas line to carry other industrial chemicals.
It is essential for small businesses to regularly inspect and maintain their pipelines to prevent damage and minimize the need for repairs. Trenchless pipe repair can help them achieve optimal maintenance without extensive damage or costly replacements. Regular trenchless maintenance can also prolong the pipeline's lifespan and reduce the risk of accidents or leaks.
Benefits of Trenchless Commercial Pipeline Repair
A trenchless pipe repair is a cost-effective option for small businesses as it doesn't involve destroying property or landscape. In contrast, trench pipe repair requires the repair team to uproot the pipe, damaging the landscape above it. In addition, since trenchless pipe repair is noninvasive, a small business can avoid the costly repairs, replacements, and cleanup that accompanies trenching.
Trenchless pipe repair is an environmentally safe way to tackle pipe problems. CIPP, for instance, uses an organic, plant-based material called epoxy. Epoxy is completely degradable, posing no threat to the environment.
Also, trench repair generates less waste than trench pipe repair, making it a green method.
Small businesses would benefit from trenchless pipe repair because experts can conduct the process without disrupting day-to-day activities. In addition, it minimizes landscape disturbance and reduces downtime.
Since trenchless pipe repair is seamless, experts can safely reline pipe systems repeatedly. As a result, relining can help strengthen pipe systems and extend their lifespan by several decades.
Cured-in-place pipe repair (CIPP) uses epoxy to reinforce existing pipelines. Epoxy resists corrosion, wear, and root intrusion, creating a long-lasting pipe repair solution.
Overall, commercial pipeline repair is an essential process that keeps pipelines in small business settings functioning safely, correctly, and efficiently.
If your business is experiencing pipe problems, then you need immediate assistance. If neglected, pipe issues can lead to extensive and more costly problems like biohazardous exposure and structural problems. Contact a reputable pipe repair service today!

3 Signs Your Sewer Pipes Needs Repair
Tumblr media
Sewage pipe repairs are a critical part of any property's plumbing system. When they malfunction, it can lead to unpleasant odors, clogged drains, and even sewage backups. As a property owner, it is essential to know the signs of a damaged sewer pipe so that you can take action before the problem worsens.
Luckily, with the help of professional repair services and innovative technology like CIPP, you can fix your sewer line economically and efficiently while safeguarding the health and comfort of your property occupants.
Read on to learn the three most common symptoms of faulty pipes and the best course of action to take.
Three Signs You Need Sewage Pipe Repair
Drainage Problems
Drain clogs may signify material buildup or blockages within your sewer pipe. While clogs happen occasionally, recurring drain issues are signs of an underlying pipe problem. Too often, property owners attempt to handle drain issues by themselves and end up causing more damage to their pipe system. That is the wrong choice to make for a few reasons.
First, without training, you cannot diagnose the specific problem like pipeline specialists would. Second, you risk causing a sewer backup that could result in sewer materials flooding your property. So instead of fueling the flame, it is best to enlist professional repair services to deal with your drainage problems as soon as possible.
Lingering Sewage Odors
You can easily differentiate between occasional sewer odors and lasting pungent smells on your property. And while it’s normal for sewage pipes to emanate occasional odors, it becomes a problem if you smell sewage in different parts of your property or each time you walk outside,
The cause of that smell - hydrogen sulfide gas - is toxic and can lead to many health problems when mishandled.
Gurgling Sinks & Toilets
Sink and toilet gurgling aren't rare occurrences, and they don't always signify pipe failures. However, frequent gurgling from your pipe system can mean serious issues like blocked or damaged pipes.
As blocked pipes cannot drain waste properly, they release air pockets that produce the gurgling you hear. If you are dealing with a minor clog - say, a kitchen sink - you can try unclogging it using a plunger. But if it is more advanced, you'll need professional help to restore your systems to optimal function.
Never ignore pipe issues, because negligence gives them time to worsen. Contact a reputable pipe repair service, where contractors have what it takes to provide a lasting fix. CIPP is an environmentally friendly repair method that is economical, fast, and noninvasive. Call a professional today!
(Meta-description: Sewage pipe repair is essential to a structure's integrity. Here are three signs it's time to call a pipeline specialist)

Holy Guacamole, Grow Your Own Food
Tumblr media
Photo by Melvin Chavez on Unsplash
LightSoilWater
Avocados have grown in popularity in recent years due to their multitude of health benefits and flexibility in recipe use. While it’s easy enough to head to the store and buy avocados mostly year-round, there’s nothing better than fresh fruit straight from your own garden. With the right care and maintenance, it’s easy to grow your own avocado trees right in your backyard. It can take a while before saplings fully grow and flower, but patience always pays off when you make that first harvest.
Planting Avocado Trees
Avocado trees are native to more tropical climates, so they’ll naturally grow better the further south you plant them. Timing is also important. Avocado trees need time to grow and adapt to their new environments before the cold settles in, so it’s always best to plant them in the spring.
Your trees will need enough space to grow to their full potential. Make sure you allow at least ten feet between your new tree and any building or structure. The roots can also grow deep and long, so allowing thirty feet between other fruit trees is recommended for healthy growth.
It’s important to note that you can grow avocado trees from avocado pits, but the fruits grown won’t be the same. Buying a sapling or already matured avocado tree will help ensure your garden is successful and your avocados are in good health.
Caring for Your Avocado Trees
Avocado trees can take a lot of work to keep healthy, but the fruits they bear are always worth the extra effort. Taking the time to keep your tree maintained can make all the difference between a beneficial garden and a failed one.
As a tropical plant, avocado trees do best when exposed to lots of sunshine. If possible, try to make sure your tree is in a part of your garden that gets a minimum of eight hours of sunlight per day. While partially shaded areas won’t kill your trees, you’ll get more produce at a higher quality with better lighting.
The roots of avocado trees are particularly sensitive. It’s important that you have the right soil conditions to keep your garden healthy. Soil should be aerated, with a PH balance between five and seven. The root system also tends to be shallow, so adding some mulch around the area can help protect these roots from gardening activities and wild animals.
Avocado trees don’t need as much water as other plants, but when they are ready for watering, you’ll want to make sure you water them deeply. Getting the water into the lower layers of the soil helps encourage strong root growth, which helps produce better fruit. A mature avocado tree will need about two inches of deep water a week, increased in hot or dry environments.
Harvesting Avocado Trees
After all your hard work has paid off, you’ll see your avocado trees starting to flower. However, the fruits of avocado trees don’t ripen on the branches. Instead, you’ll need to pick them once they’re the right size and let them rest inside until they are ripe. With enough time and patience, you can have fresh avocados delivered from your garden right to your kitchen.

Is There a Smart Way to Divorce?
Tumblr media
Photo by Priscilla Du Preez on Unsplash
When it comes to getting a divorce, no set formula works for every couple. Each marriage is different, so the dissolution of the marriage will be too. However, that’s not to say there isn’t a smart way to go about getting divorced. Today, we’re going to take a look at how you can smartly prepare for divorce (and why getting a divorce lawyer is in your best interests).
What Exactly Does It Mean to Be “Smart” in Divorce?
Getting divorced changes everything. From the big things like how often you will get to spend time with your children to little things like ordering takeout from your favorite restaurant, divorce completely overhauls your life. And if you’re not prepared, it can make this overhaul a lot more difficult.
That’s what we mean by being “smart” in divorce. Before ever calling a divorce lawyer, you should think about what your life will look like once the divorce is finalized. What is your ideal child custody schedule? Do you want to stay in the house or find something new? While you may not always get what you want during the divorce process, knowing what you do want can make you better prepared to negotiate.
Now that’s out of the way, here are a few ways you can get a smart divorce.
Set Up Your Own Bank Account
If you and your spouse shared a joint checking or savings account, now is the time to establish your own. You will have your own legal fees and bills to pay. Furthermore, establishing your own account can ensure that any income you have directly deposited into your account is exclusively yours and that it’s protected.
While it doesn’t happen in every case, some of the more emotionally-charged divorces may involve one spouse trying to take money from the other to prove a point.
Gather Records
During the divorce process, you may need to show a variety of forms, ranging from the deed to the house, bank statements, and tax forms to other forms regarding your children and their medical needs.
Once you’re in your first consultation with a divorce lawyer, they’ll advise you on all the forms you need to gather. But by getting a head start on collecting these forms, you’ll save yourself some time down the line.
Don’t Post on Facebook
We live in a time when it’s normal to vent about your personal life online. This is a mistake, especially during divorce proceedings.
Remember, nothing you post online can truly ever be deleted or shielded from the public. And if you’re in the midst of a complex child custody battle, anything you post negatively about your soon-to-be ex can be held against you.
Keep in mind that family courts in Texas determine child custody based on what is considered to be in the child’s best interests. This typically involves parents who will be able to establish a civil relationship once the divorce is finalized.
Stay Flexible
It’s normal for emotions to run a little high during a divorce. After all, it can seem like everything is a battle. However, be smart about this and realize that no one comes out of a divorce battle as a winner.
Instead, the focus should be on both parties making compromises they each feel good about. As such, you need to be flexible and make compromises both in mediation and out. Your divorce lawyer can be a helpful resource in helping you remain flexible.
The more flexible you are, the less time your divorce will take, and the sooner you can move forward and be happy.
Have a Plan
Though it may be difficult to talk about this early on with your spouse, try to have a plan for yourself.
Before broaching the topic of divorce, make sure it’s an avenue you definitely want to take. And if it is, how will you approach the subject and when will you break the news to your kids? For example, if you decide you want to get divorced around the Christmas holiday, sharing the news with your kids before the holiday may lead to bad emotions. Consider the time of year and if any events are coming up that the divorce news could affect.
During the divorce, have a plan for where you will stay if family vacations will still occur, and who you will go to for support. Plan ahead for what your life will look like once the papers are signed. Is there a hobby you always wanted to start but never had time for? Make a plan to start it once the divorce is finalized, because it will give you something to look forward to on the days when the reality of divorce feels like a little too much.
All of these are important to keep in mind when you’re getting divorced. If you’re ready to move forward, an experienced divorce lawyer can help.

Complete Beginner’s Guide to Estate Planning in Tyler, Texas
Tumblr media
Photo by Scott Graham on Unsplash
What will happen to your assets once you’re gone? Who do you want to handle your estate and all your affairs? Who do you want to make medical decisions for you if you’re unable to do so yourself? These are just a few of the questions estate planning asks you. If you’re looking to create a plan for your estate, then it’s recommended you meet with an experienced estate planning attorney in Tyler, TX, to get started.
Here’s an overview of what you need to know about creating an estate plan:
What is Estate Planning?
At its core, estate planning refers to the plan for how your assets will be divided after you pass away. However, estate planning also includes appointing someone to make financial and medical decisions on your behalf should you be unable to do so yourself. As such, you will commonly come across wills and advance directives as part of proper estate planning.
What’s Included in a Will?
One of the first steps you’ll take in estate planning is creating a will. A will is a legally binding document that states your intentions regarding your property and assets. It states who will get what after you’re gone.
Wills are a crucial part of estate planning because they can help avoid family squabbles and any confusion after you’re gone. However, one of the main reasons a will is so important is that it helps make the probate process easier. Probate is a legal process that appoints an executor to the estate to distribute assets in accordance with the will.
How to Prepare for Estate Planning
If you’re ready to make an appointment with an estate planning lawyer, you should do a few things to prepare ahead of time.
One of the top things you can do beforehand is to analyze your inventory and think ahead about your family. For example, take stock of all your assets, such as real estate, vehicles, insurance policies, savings accounts, and personal belongings. In addition, you should jot down any outstanding debts you may have, as your executor will be responsible for getting these paid in your absence and notifying your creditors.
Likewise, account for your family’s needs. For example, if you have minor children, your estate plan will need to address guardianship. Also, think about who you want to be made executor of your estate. Do they have the emotional bandwidth to handle the responsibility? Do they want the role? If you’re thinking of developing an estate plan, you should also have these conversations with the future executor you have in mind so you can adjust and plan accordingly.
Developing an estate plan is never easy. In fact, it can sometimes feel quite uncomfortable. However, it’s one of the most important things you can do for yourself, your assets, and your loved ones. If you need any estate planning help in Tyler, TX, an estate planning lawyer can help.

Do Your Clients Need a Mediation Lawyer?
Tumblr media
Photo by Van Tay Media on Unsplash
Going to court can be costly, both in time and money. Saving yourself time and your clients money can help make your job easier while helping your clients feel more comfortable with their choices. A mediation lawyer can help your clients avoid having to go to court while still finding a legal resolution to their issues. Mediation brings both clients together and facilitates healthy conversation to get them to find a peaceful compromise. While mediation isn’t for every client, it can be extremely beneficial in the right cases.
Small Personal Injury Cases
Personal injury lawsuits and cases can get messy and costly. While large-scale cases will likely benefit from a courtroom setting, smaller issues may be easily resolved with a mediation lawyer. When a mediator gets involved, both sides of the story are heard on equal footing. A mediator will be able to get to the bottom of exactly what happened and how a peaceful resolution may be reached. Using a mediator is a great option for personal injury cases where the two parties know each other, such as a car accident between friends or a family member falling in someone’s home. Because these parties are already more willing to talk to each other, they can benefit from the intervention of a mediator.
Divorce Cases
Going to court for a divorce is extremely taxing. The emotional damage from a divorce is difficult enough, and having to go before a judge and hash it all out can exhaust your clients even more. With a mediation lawyer, however, both parties can feel more at ease in a relaxed setting where they can both be heard. Divorce is often a messy process, and communication between both parties is key to making sure it goes as smoothly as possible. Because the results of mediation are legally binding, your clients can be confident that they’re getting the best resolution possible.
Landlord/Tenant Disputes
Renting out property is always a risk. When there’s a dispute between a landlord and their tenant, going to court isn’t always an option. Because of the power a landlord has, tenants may not always feel comfortable going after them in such an official setting. But using a mediation lawyer to open communication and allow both sides to be heard can help the case move in a positive direction. Often, just being able to talk about the situation on equal footing is enough to help both clients find a mutually beneficial resolution.
Finding a Mediation Lawyer for Your Clients
Mediation can be a great way to resolve a conflict without having to go to court, and most clients will prefer that option when it’s available. A mediation lawyer can help you find a peaceful and beneficial resolution for your clients. When looking for a mediator for your client, make sure that they are qualified and experienced in the type of case you’re handling. For example, if your client is going through a divorce, a mediation lawyer who works as a family lawyer or divorce lawyer is going to be a better fit than a criminal defense lawyer.

Can Indoor Climbing Help with Outdoor Climbing?
Tumblr media
Rock climbing and bouldering are popular outdoor sports. But there’s also a large community that partakes in climbing activities indoors instead. Indoor climbing can be a great way to help you prepare for an outdoor climbing adventure! With an indoor rock climbing and bouldering gym, you can practice your technique, meet new climbers, and test out new equipment before hitting the rocks. And with weather conditions and long drive times to many popular outdoor climbing areas, it’s a more convenient way to get your daily workout in.
Practice Techniques
Indoor climbing gyms allow you to practice new techniques and exercises to try on outdoor courses. The indoor setting allows you more comfort and safety to give you the confidence you need to try something new. And with courses designed for varying degrees of climbers, you can test a more difficult course out first before trying to take one on outside.
By practicing your rock climbing and bouldering indoors, you also get more time to build up your strength and technique. You don’t have to worry about your climb being canceled because of bad weather or having to call it a day when the sun starts to set early. With indoor climbing, you can practice whenever you need.
Meet New Climbers
The indoor climbing community is a friendly and welcoming community. Old and new climbers alike are always greeted with warmth when they first join in. By going to an indoor climbing gym, you can meet other climbers who can share useful information about outdoor climbs with you. You may even meet some climbing partners to share your next outdoor adventure with! Most climbing gyms have a host of community events, both workout- and non-workout-based, that can help you mingle with the community and make new friends.
Test New Equipment
You don’t want to buy a new set of equipment and then immediately take it to an outdoor climbing course. You may also want to see whether a different harness or pair of climbing shoes is going to work out for you before you buy your own. A climbing gym will have a variety of equipment that you can rent while you're there. This helps new climbers save money when they’re just starting out, and it can help experienced climbers test out new equipment. By taking a different set of equipment for a few test runs indoors, you can feel more confident using it outside.
Indoor Climbing Prepares You for Outdoor Adventure
It’s not realistic to expect to be able to go outside and go rock climbing or bouldering all the time. Having access to an indoor climbing gym allows you to practice your skills, build strong friendships, and experiment with new equipment and techniques. By working out regularly in an indoor climbing venue, you can better prepare yourself for your next outdoor climbing adventure.

With All The Uncertainties These Days, Getting a Will Shouldn't Be One of Them
Tumblr media
Photo by Melinda Gimpel on Unsplash
Are you thinking of getting a will? Nobody wants to think about what will happen after they die, its impact on their loved ones, and whether their wishes will be honored. But the only way to make sure your wishes are met is to leave a will. And the best way to make sure your will is valid is with the help of an attorney. Life is uncertain, but your wishes don't have to be.
What happens if you don't have a will? Texas' "intestate succession" laws provide that your assets will go to your closest relatives if you die without a will. So, you need to put it down in writing (with a physical copy, not on your computer or the internet) to remember your agreement to leave your sports car to your best friend because he always had your back. No matter what they say, it won't count without that legal document.
It's not hard to get a will. There are some things to consider, though. You are within your legal rights to draft your own will. It can be handwritten or typed.
The requirements for acquiring a will in Texas are that you must be eighteen unless you have served in the armed forces or are legally married. It also must not be fraudulently obtained (not forced). You'll name those you intend to receive specific items and sign it.
As with anything, you can choose a form online to write your will. The problem with using these is that anyone can post them. Who knows if the one you select will include every requirement and if it meets court-approved standards?
You can take your chances because it's free, or you can hire an attorney to walk you through the process and assure you that your document will hold up in court.
What would keep your handwritten will from being tossed out when the time comes?
First, what if your handwriting is not legible? Just because you can read your writing doesn't mean someone else can.
Can you handwrite part of the document and type the other part? No, that will not do.
What if your two credible witnesses (which means they don't benefit from your will) do not qualify? They must be at least 14 years old. Otherwise, there goes your will.
Are there specific instructions for signing? What if you make a mistake?
How clear is your will? Is there anything that can be misinterpreted?
Disposing of some of the testator's property but not all of it.
The executor is improperly empowered to act without supervision from the court or a bond.
Have you chosen guardians for your minor children or even your furry friends? Pets are family, too.
Have you named an executor?
Is your will self-proving? Even though you don't have to notarize your will in Texas, it may be in your best interests. By notarizing it, your witnesses will not need to be contacted for proof of validity by the courts.
As you can see, there are many regulations as well as potential loopholes involved in writing a will, especially if you intend for it to hold up in court.
Although there is a cost involved, hiring an attorney is to your benefit. It means when it's completed, you have the peace of mind that your wishes won't be left up to the court to decide. After all, a will is one of your final acts and loving gifts. You want to leave good memories for those you love and who love you.
Make sure the Texas attorney you turn to is recommended and trusted.

Campfire Safety: What's Hot, What's Not
Tumblr media
For most of us, camping means getting away from it all. We're never far from the great outdoors. No matter where we live, all we have to do is step outside, and there it is. If you're considering a road trip in your RV, you're in luck, especially if you're heading to Tyler, Texas, where you'll find five-star RV parks set up for everyone from the seasoned camper to the novice.
There are all kinds of reasons people go camping, from the chance to unplug from digital devices to the freedom of being yourself with no apologies. How great is it that when you set up camp, you create your own social circle that doesn't involve the internet? Let's call camping what it is: social distancing at its finest.
We learn a lot when we go camping. We learn to commune with nature, to listen for sounds we don't ordinarily hear at home. Bugs, wildlife, and birds all have their languages, and it's incredible to listen to them chatter with each other.
We learn to use a compass, reconnect with our loved ones, have fun without staring at a screen, and how cooking with basic supplies is a fantastic way to enjoy the smell of bacon in a skillet, coffee in the morning, and a mouthful of s’mores.
Even RVs equipped with stoves only cook some of the meals inside. After all, why go camping if you don't include marshmallows and ghost stories around the campfire?
But first, we must learn to build a campfire, including campfire safety.
According to Smokey the Bear, "nearly nine out of 10 wildfires are caused by people not being careful."
Don't even think of building a campfire unless you know campfire safety. Here are some basic tips:
Not all RV parks are created equal; when camping in an RV park, you must find out if campfires are permitted. If so, ask for a written list of requirements and stick to it.
Make sure your campfire is a minimum of 25 feet from any objects or structures that can burn.
Trim low overhanging branches and shrubs and remove dry leaves and sticks.
Burning should be avoided on windy, dry days. Dry air and windy conditions are conducive to fires spreading out of control.
Make a circle of rocks around the pit.
Throw the match into the fire after the fire starts.
Campfires should never be left unattended.
An adult should always supervise the campfire.
Make sure you have buckets of water and a shovel on hand.
When putting the fire out, dump lots of water, and cover it with dirt. Then dump more water. Make sure the campfire is cold before leaving it.
When searching for an RV site, look for one with staff and enough space to accommodate your fire.
Remember, the purpose of camping is to have fun, but the quickest way to turn it into a nightmare is to allow a campfire to burn out of control. Everyone is responsible for ensuring safety and proper procedures so your trip will be enjoyable and memorable.

Loves Me, Loves Me Not; Gifting Apricots
Thinking about growing your own sustainable food? Look no further than the delicious, sunshiny, yummy apricot! Packed with tons of nutrition and zero guilt, the apricot is a gift you can feel good about giving, no matter the occasion. One mature standard apricot tree yields at least a bushel, if not more. That's quite a few apricots!
Tumblr media
You can spend many an afternoon preparing for holiday gifting. Let’s say you start with a Harlayne Apricot Tree. If you plant in zones 8, 6, or 4 and are patient, you'll have gifts from this freestone late in the season. What can you make? Apricots are multi-taskers so you won't have much trouble thinking something up, but just in case, here are a few ideas:
Recipes
From marmalades to grilled side dishes, ice cream sauces, and additions to homemade bread, you'll never run out of ways to cook with apricots.
Snack Bars
Who doesn't love snack bars? It's easy: measure out ingredients into a jar and give it with a recipe card. If you haven't tried apricot bars, you're in for a treat. So simple and yet so effective. This is sunshine in a jar that says "I love you" in every bite. These bars give you every reason to ask your local nursery experts for advice on planting your sustainable gift-giving option right in your backyard.
Give a Tree
Maybe you already have an apricot tree and you know how fun gifting apricots is. What better reason to give a tree to a friend?
But you can't afford to give a tree, you say. Ah, but you can. If you take the price of an apricot tree at $44.95 and ask yourself how many times you eat dinner out, chances are you've paid for an apricot tree more times than you can count.
Add to that amount the shipping, and compare it to the number of times you've bought lunch on the run, donuts for the office, pizza for the kids, and who knows what else, and you’ve paid the price of one apricot tree many times over. This means you can afford to gift a tree!
If you need another reason, gifting a tree makes the perfect memorial gift for a friend who's lost a loved one.
Apricots are one of the most adaptable fruits there is, as well as one of the healthiest. Do you know of someone who's watching their waistline? You sure don't want to show up at the door with candy. But apricots? That's a whole different thing since there are only 79 calories in one cup. You could make a fresh salad, toss in a handful of chopped apricots, and treat your friend to something extra special.
Those are just a few ideas for using apricots as gifts. Perhaps you've never thought of it before, but there are many benefits to this sweet little fuzzy fruit, and once you know what they are, you'll be planting that tree in your backyard and spreading the love.
Apricots are a must-have, offering advantages from antioxidants to eye and skin health and potassium. Did you know apricots are believed to protect your liver? And if you need more convincing, are you aware that apricots are so hydrating they are even used in skincare products?
As far as conditions go, apricots are used to treat infections, constipation, and other ailments. As a great source of vitamin A, they contain virtually no cholesterol, fat, or sodium.
Knowing what we know about this delicious little fruit, is it any wonder why it’s the powerhouse of growing sustainable food? Take a bow, little apricot; you might be the perfect snack, meal complement, and gift.

Why Join a Climbing Gym?
Tumblr media
Joining a gym can be a difficult decision. There are always stories about people who join a gym and never go, finding themselves wasting money every month for no reason. But when you join an indoor climbing gym, you’ll find yourself going for more than just a good workout. Climbing gyms are the perfect investment for your body, your mind, and your social life. If you’re on the fence about joining an indoor climbing gym, here are some of the amazing benefits they can offer.
Welcoming Community
The indoor climbing community is one of the friendliest and most welcoming sports communities around. For an activity that isn’t really team-based and doesn’t require a partner, it can be surprising just how tight-knit everyone gets. Whether you’re a veteran climber in a new location or a new climber just starting out, you’re sure to find friends and partners to help aid your climbing journey. Most climbing gyms offer several events a month, some geared toward climbing and others just for fun and socialization. By being a member of your indoor climbing gym, you can meet new people and find your place in a warm and inviting community.
Amazing Workout
Rock climbing and bouldering are amazing workouts that help build muscle and work out your cardiovascular system. When you go for a climb, you use pretty much every muscle in your body. You’ll build strength from your neck all the way down to your toes. And many climbing gyms also offer additional exercise areas and equipment, so you can still get your workout in even if you don’t feel like climbing that day.
Because indoor climbing requires you to think and plan ahead while making your path, it also engages your brain. You’ll build up your creative problem-solving skills as you build up your strength. By adding a mental aspect to your workout, you keep yourself engaged and are sure to have fun while you get fit.
Safe Environment
Climbing in the great outdoors is fun, but it can also be dangerous. It’s important to practice your skills before you head out, and an indoor climbing gym is the perfect environment to get started. Climbing gyms have all the safety equipment you need for each climb, and they regularly inspect and maintain their equipment to ensure it’s working. You can rent equipment while you’re there and rest easy, knowing that you’ll be safe and secure as you climb.
Joining an Indoor Climbing Gym
If you’re looking for a great workout for both the mind and the body, join an indoor climbing gym today. You’ll integrate with a warm and welcoming community that will make you feel right at home. By choosing indoor climbing as your main workout venture, you can keep your mind engaged and have more fun with each session. In doing so, you start to associate working out and going to the gym with having fun, so you’re bound to return time and time again.

Is Your Employer at Fault for Your Workplace Injury?
Tumblr media
Photo by Etienne Girardet on Unsplash
When you go to work, you have a certain level of trust in your employer that they'll do everything they can to keep you protected. Even jobs with high-risk factors have safety measures that should be followed to reduce that risk. When you're injured on the job, you may be left wondering who to blame. Was it your own fault? Was it the fault of some third-party manufacturer? Or was it your employer's fault? With the help of a workplace injury attorney, you can figure out who is liable and work on getting the compensation you deserve.
Worker's Compensation or Personal Injury Lawsuit
When you're injured on the job, the first thing you'll want to do is alert your supervisor and seek any medical aid as needed. As soon as you do that, you'll want to call your workplace injury attorney to determine your next steps. Texas is one of only a few states that does not require employers to carry worker's compensation coverage. Your employer should have disclosed whether or not they are covered by workers' compensation when you were hired. If they didn't, they must legally provide you with that information when asked.
If your employer has worker's compensation, it's often a good idea to file a claim and seek compensation that way. With worker's compensation, you can be covered for medical bills and income benefits regardless of fault. However, if your employer does not have worker's compensation, or the compensation won't cover your costs, you can choose to file a personal injury lawsuit - as long as your employer is at fault for the injury, that is.
Proving Employer Fault
Proving fault in an accident is always a tricky business. With the help of a workplace injury attorney, however, you can gather the information you need to make your case. An employer is considered at fault if their negligence caused the accident that resulted in injury. Examples of such negligence include:
Failure to post proper safety warning signs, such as 'Do not touch blade while in operation.'
Failure to maintain clean and hazard-free working areas, such as not installing slip-proof flooring in an area that is regularly exposed to water or other liquids.
Failure to provide proper and adequate training on work-related machinery or equipment.
Failure to inspect, maintain, and repair work-related machinery and equipment.
If this is the case in any workplace injury, your employer could be at-fault for the injury and liable for compensation. Many worker's compensation policies state that an employee cannot sue an employer if they accept benefits, so be sure to check that the coverage will fully compensate you before agreeing to any terms.
Working with a Workplace Injury Attorney
If you're injured on the job, you'll want a workplace injury attorney by your side. Even if your employer has worker's compensation coverage, your attorney can still help you navigate the claims process. They'll fight hard to help you get the compensation you deserve after a workplace injury.

Vertical Pipe Restoration Across the States
Tumblr media
Vertical pipe restoration in your area can greatly benefit you, often reducing damages that may be encountered during repair work. In the event that the property is damaged, there is a need for a more complex and expensive follow-up. The cured-in-place pipe repair process eliminates the risk of additional and unnecessary damage to the surrounding area. Such tactics have begun making more of an impact across the United States.
Compared to traditional pipe replacement, cured-in-place pipe offers less invasive and less expensive repairs. A fiberglass or resin cloth pipe is put in place. Pressurized air or water is used to pull the material into the damaged line. Once the material is in place, UV light is used to cure it. CIPP is effective because the contractor has a wider array of options than ever before.
CIPP is a joint-free, rust-resistant repair method, one as efficient as the process of replacement can be. Of course, underground pipes serve an essential function in our day-to-day lives, so efficiency is mandatory. In order to ensure the safety of both the property and the people who use it, it is necessary to have a reliable stream. As a result of the high costs associated with the long repair process, it is imperative that a pipe emergency is handled immediately and efficiently.
Repairing pipes is a common necessity, so any advantage helps along the way. There is no doubt that heavy use can cause your commercial pipes to malfunction. As a result, you can sometimes spend more money trying to prepare a property for invasive work before the contractor can begin the task. You may be able to reduce the likelihood of leaks by scheduling a cleaning.
After all, any measure that keeps issues at bay is worth considering, especially when it comes to operations. Businesses and highways are able to resume operation once your pipe repair service completes each job to the highest standard. Restoration of pipes usually requires more prep work before they can be repaired. Getting to the damage may require trenching through roads or pathways or cutting through walls.
In order to complete this work, traffic must be diverted around the dig site, or tenants must be relocated. It is more expensive and takes more time to trench or cut into walls. Therefore, a method like CIPP is a reliable way to make changes without damaging your place of business.
By using CIPP, repair workers can gain access to damaged pipes at smaller access points - such as maintenance hole covers. Having your pipes replaced in a fraction of the time saves you money. As a result of trenchless plumbing, CIPP repairs are less invasive.
In addition to being more environmentally friendly, this method will not disturb your land. Vertical pipe restoration is more effective and efficient than ever thanks to innovation. Just remember to keep track of how well your pipes hold up over time. This way you can save yourself from unneeded hassles.
