If you remove the Palestinian liberation stuff from Hamas' ideology, they're not even that radical lol. They're basically just like what "classic" Republicans would be if they were sunni Muslims. They want the law to follow their religion, have pretty conservative social values, and believe in democracy. Like, while I would prefer a leftist group to be dominant in the Palestinian resistance my preferences don't really change anything. And all the leftist and muslim groups are allied under the axis of resistance. So I think people who are overly worried about Hamas being a governing party are just tripping to a certain degree... like I hope that in a free Palestine the PFLP or w.e can defeat them in elections (not super likely but a girl can dream) but at the moment they are essentially the most effective resistance group in Palestine.

Like they are not Al Quaeda, they are not Al Nusra Front, they are DEFINITELY not ISIS/Daesh (Palestinians literally call zionism 'Daesh for jews' iirc lol)... they are a political party that uses a relatively conservative interpretation of sunni Islam as the basis for their politics. I'm not a fan of that but they aren't even as conservative as the Saudis?
