the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

ONE HOUR AGO: greg abbott, who i have the great displeasure of calling my governor, is calling for the expulsion and jailing of ut austin students exercising their first amendment right to freedom of speech an assembly. every single motherfucker on the right soooo concerned about the first amendment seems to be creaming their pants over college students being brutalized and arrested for protesting. its fucking reprehensible.

it really is so uncomfortable being a trans man in cis centric conversations of feminism. I just wonder. do they know about people like me? do they care? if I brought it up to them, how would they react? Do they expect me to be their human shield?

let’s say that being hot as a form of empowerment for all women could even be a thing. let’s say it’s possible to look hot for yourself and not for men. where did your idea of hotness come from? why is it important to you to look hot? who decides what’s hot? why must you change something about yourself or cover something about yourself to get hot? what makes you not hot at your most unmanicured state? why? how did you know what to do to get hot? do the people around you view hotness in the same way?

"every other disabled person works" is a flat out lie. 7.5 million people in the U.S. are on SSI, 9.2 million are on SSDI. Those numbers don't include people who are currently working on getting disability payments, can't work but don't qualify for benefits, etc. Questioning someone's inability to work because they don't "seem disabled" to you is wildly, blatantly ableist. You don't know the half of what goes on in Nova's life and you're talking over her clearly stating her needs.
the look all the blue haired communist give you when they try their “i’m a non-abled intersex trans woman suffering from a plethora of diseases” excuse to get out of labour :

Why are these people, those who do no or refuse hard or meaningful labour, the face of these economic revolutionary parties?

Gee, I wonder why disabled people are often vocally against needing to work to survive? It couldn't possibly be because someone who can't work without becoming seriously ill, injured, or dead is the most deeply affected by a system that values an able body and mind /s. Radfems are so bad at intersectionality and solidarity that it would be funny if it wasn't horrifying.

enough reclaiming slurs, I think in 2023 we should reclaim nascar. they banned the confederate flag on all properties & their stance on lgbtq+ isn’t just performative bc in 2013 they fined a driver 10k for using a homophobic slur, condemned indiana in a statement for an anti lgbt law, and partnered w carolina’s lgbt+ chamber of conference in 2022. nascar was founded by anti-cop moonshiners/bootleggers who drove suped-up fords to out-run the police. #yaaascar

Yeah there's no active draft but the law allowing a draft to be instated is still in place. After Vietnam the US government was a lot more careful about calling drafts because of how badly people responded to it. Imo even if the draft wasn't evil as a concept people who don't want to fight make terrible soldiers and forcing people to fight is going to end in stuff like fragging.
Not feminist as in "women should be included in the draft" but feminist as in "being drafted is a violation of bodily autonomy for any gender".
The draft should not exist. Drafting people into the military is a violation of human rights. You should not be able to force someone to risk their life. If you can't find enough people who care about a conflict to keep it going then it simply shouldn't keep going. You can't even force someone to donate a kidney using government power, why the fuck can you force them to donate their whole body and life to a cause they don't agree with or don't care about?

You are vastly underestimating how violent the population of the United States is. Our current military is entirely volunteer and certainly isn't struggling for members, and there are even more people who are so ridiculously gun-happy that they're itching to shoot people over minor inconveniences. I live in a swing state (so not entirely gun-toting trumpies) and I've seen my fair share of "get off my property or I'll shoot you" warnings around. Also, if someone is a total pacifist forcing them to fight is arguably the most cruel of all, and they're not going to be a good soldier, either. Yes, obviously WWII was worth fighting, but we've changed so much as a human population since then that a repeat is almost impossible. People being drafted for WWII didn't understand the scope of what the Nazis were doing. With the advent of social media and the availability of sharing your voice online it's very difficult to commit atrocities of that scale without being seen. People are informed enough about world events to make their individual decisions.
