i have been thinking about francine and the possibility of her being a dual muse on this blog with max with the vibes being foster kid became street kid given a place to stay by one of the pre super villain spider man criminals (ie no name mcgee) and after his passing starts to use the flat as a safe house for criminals/villains on the run or who have just been released from prison and need a space to stay. max is a recurring visitor, there is no weird kiss, just malfunctioning powers cause the same reaction in francine as the lightning did for max so also no jackal cloning.

following on from this a lot of the crimes or sinister six team ups that max takes part in is because of this sense of unspent energy that needs somewhere to go, he is the loaded gun that other people so often aim for their own purposes.

i think i'm leaning towards the idea that as in tssm max was originally interested in a cure something to make him 'normal' and to allow him to give his dreams another go but being electro is addicting. every part of them feels alive and everything around him crackles with energy that they are connected to. they feel as if they have been running with weights on his entire life and suddenly they've been removed and this was the way they were always meant to be.

effects of the accident

the obvious, max's body generates vast amounts of electricity that he is able to use for a variety of purposes, initially he is unable to control this and appears as if his body is made fully of energy

scars, he has lichtenberg figures starting at the palm that was holding the wires and spreading up his arm

hearing, though not lost fully his eardrums were damaged in the accident, he would describe it as constant interference that means sometimes he mishears or misses words in a conversation

sight, from the accident they have cataracts that affect their ability to see details but they are also able to see electricity which can help 'outline' other humans or locate specific buildings

hair, they didn't go completely bald in the accident instead tufts were fried off and they shaved their head mostly out of vanity, it has since started to grow back and now they have a mullet esque look going on

mood disturbance, as with other lightning injury victims he has some experienced some slight changes in personality and has been described as having 'manic' moments

so i love the fully electricity man look in tssm it's a vibe so what if that is how max is immediately after the accident but as they adapt to their powers it becomes more like a johnny storm 'flame on' thing
