If you are from Chicago you experience two seasons instead of four, Winter and Construction. Chicago's winter lasts November to April/May and construction is from May to October. During the construction season, most of the time is spent repairing potholes created during winter's quick thaw then freeze cycle. Are you in the season of your life where you are running into monstrous potholes? Are you trying to avoid them instead of patching them up?
Potholes are disruptions in the surface of a roadway where a portion of the road's material has broken away, leaving a hole. Similar to potholes in the road, the same can be said about our spiritual lives. Some of us are experiencing potholes in our church attendance, fellowship, and prayer life. Each of these forms of worship are essential to a strong foundation in spiritual development. Instead of avoiding these potholes, choose to fill them with Christ. Allow Him to be your Rock. When we let God fill the holes in our lives, no matter the season, we have assurance our foundation will be secure. #potholesinmylawn

We have entered into the wedding season. To make sure we have a secure sit at the sacred event, it is very important to send in our R.S.V.P. R.S.V.P. is a french phrase, "repondez, s'il vous plait", which translates "please reply". While we have been invited to events which requires us to reply, many of us fail to realize the importance of sending in our R.S.V.P. in a timely manner. Have you received God's invitation? Did you R.S.V.P. for His eternal event?
My wife and I were recently discussing the wedding of a very close friend. In discussing the details, I realized that the most important R.S.V.P isn't for a wedding. It's for my reservation into Heaven. Unlike any other invitation, I am the only one who can respond for me. I can not crash the party/event or be another person's +1. Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone. So, your response is very time sensitive. God is waiting for your R.S.V.P.! Will you send it in today?

Life doesn't always go as planned. Sometimes we are subject to heartache and pain. We can put forth a grand effort and do our very best, and still have unexpected catastrophes. Are you asking, "Why me"? Are you willing to allow your misery to be your ministry?
God has ordained us to conquer the same obstacle that is trying to devour us. A conqueror overcomes the trials and tribulations that life brings. In most cases, it is not until we are passionate enough to fight our strong holds, that a contagious revolutionary effect occurs. Use your pain as a victory campaign. Don't let barriers stop you from moving toward the finish line. Your decision to be steadfast can encourage someone to keep fighting in spite of their obstacles.
