The hours between 12am and 6am have a funny habit of making you feel like you’re either on top of the world, or under it.

Minah frowned in thought, sighing lightly. That sounded really cool. If you set her on fire, she died. Really the coolest talent she had was disappearing into darkness, and feeding off emotions. Of course, some shadows, older ones than her, had developed special talents, talents that were very shadow specific. But she was still very young, and not the strongest. She was the Earth realms definition of spoiled rich kid. Her family didn’t train her to protect herself because she was a girl, and girls didn’t fight, they coward behind hulking body guards hired from other realms to protect her. What other talent could she possibly need then, other than sneaking away?
Realizing she had gone awkwardly quiet, the Shadow quickly perked up and grinned. “Yes, show me later when its safe,” she chimed happily, pausing outside the dressing rooms. “You’re a phoenix…so that means you’re probably not on your first run around the park. Do you remember the past? Like, after you finish a life, do you continue to keep those memories?” Now that she thought about it, it was actually a highly personal question. “You don’t have to answer that if you don’t want! I’ll be right back, okay? Promise.”
Shop Til You Drop [Minah & Kai]
Kai sighed a little bit whenever she noted there importance but nodded - rather reluctantly. Of course he understood that they were important, and he always loved watching guys walking around in suits, but… SO EXPENSIVE. Maybe he could start saving up now though, so that way whenever he and Minah went suit-shopping one day, he would be prepared. He was rather good at saving up, and he actually had good things to save up for now too!
He was distracted from his suit-mulling whenever she started walking away and he quickly trotted after her, just catching her question. He absently reached up and placed a hand on his head, though one part of her question did strike him as funny. “Hercules…?” he asked slowly, frowning a little bit before shaking his head. “Um, I don’t know what that means, but it doesn’t like completely incinerate or anything. My hair stays normal, it just kind of… Flames are over it. Like a stick on fire, only my hair doesn’t go away like a stick does.” Wow, that was a really shitty explanation, “I’ll show you sometime, when I can! I’m a Phoenix though, so that’s why it’s possible,” he said a bit proudly, giggling. “Really, my whole entire body can catch on fire if I want it to! And I fireproofed the clothes I’m wearing, all my clothes are, so I wouldn’t even be naked!!”

Its official, she realizes as she steps out in the biting winter wind; Minah hates the cold. There is a reason she made sure to specify her desire for a warm dwelling place, why she loved her dorm room with the big fireplace and constant heat. Even if the light was uncomfortable, it was nothing a little curtain around her bed couldn’t fix, and it least she was always toasty warm, wrapped up in her blankets like a happy resident in the deepest pantheons of hell. Hell was warm right? So yes, hell. Even wrapped up in all of her winter clothing, her heavy jacket and snow pants that made disorienting sounds as she walked, her boots crunching in the snow, and blanket wrapped around her shoulders Minah found no reprieve from the wind. The clear sky belying how cold it truly was.
Without cloud cover to keep the world insolated, all the heat simply disappeared, and though the sun shone brightly, it might as well be the middle of the night. It was the kind of day when she could get around without being stopped, or talked to, all but the ice beings kept their heads down, wrapped in winter gear with hurried steps. Everyone except...whoever the poor being huddled down in the snow without a jacket was. With ears pressed flat against her head in dismay and clearly shivering there was no way Minah could ignore her. “Poor thing,” she breathed hating the way her breath floated from her lips in a puff of visible air. Shifting the blanket from her shoulders she wrapped it around the other. “What are you doing out here like that? You’re going to catch your death.”

To be honest, it was a really dumb idea to leave her jacket back at the dorm this morning. All she’s got on now is a thin white turtleneck and a simple pair of white jeans, shuffling down the sidewalk. In Soojung’s defense, it looks like a nice day out today - the sun is shining, despite not giving any warmth whatsoever, and from behind the glass of her window Soojung had assumed she wouldn’t need her jacket. She purses her lips, tucking her hands further into her pockets. The back ones, because the front pockets are fake, freaking fashion. Obviously she assumed wrong.
Ears pressed flat against her head, Soojung makes a face and squints into the wind. She crouches for a moment, shivering in place as she can’t bring herself to relinquish the small bit of heat she’d managed to gain curled up as she is, just to get to somewhere warmer. Her dorm is all the way across campus - what is she to do now? She’s read about sled dogs that burrow into the snow and make little nests for themselves to keep warm but she is most certainly not a dog and will try nothing of the sort!

The Prince & I || Minah&Junho
junho-ia
Minah wasn’t sure what the protocol was for taking an ancient Egyptian Prince to the movies, but she doubted it was the nearest available movie theater. He deserved gold encrusted, wing backed chairs upholstered in velvet or silk. Gourmet snacks and fine wine. Privacy too probably and something more high brow than the common fair crap comedy or barley scary horror flick. But beggars can’t be choosers, and in light of velvet he got polyester blend on which to rest his royal behind for the next hour and forty minutes. “Yes two tickets for that Exodus movie, please.” She smiled, charming, but snobby in her own way. A rich man’s daughter through and through as she offered her father’s credit card for payment.
All she knew about the movie was that it had ‘Gods and Kings’ in the title and was more than likely going to be an action flick, perfect for a guy – and at least she could take a nap if the constant explosions and war scenes didn’t amuse her. Discreetly of course. The Shadow actually had a hard time believing that he would all her to nap though, she was anticipating a slew of questions that she probably couldn’t answer and for some reason that made her smile, rather than be annoyed.
Once she was handed the tickets, and receipt, she returned back to the male, beaming up at him. “Okay! We have two tickets we can go in now. You have a choice, we can get snacks now, or I can take you in and get you settled and then I’ll come back for the snacks just before it starts because by then the lines will have calmed down a bit and it won’t be such a long wait.” She resisted the urge to link her arm through his, an action that was as natural, and ignore as breathing when she was with the hyper active Phoenix, Kai. It wouldn’t go over so well with the son of the Pharaoh.

“Pumpkin bread, maybe…” she mused because she had heard that it was good but was never allowed to try it. That was the reason behind a lot of her sweets purchases. All things she’d always wanted to eat but was never allowed due to her strict diet. Her mother and father were very health coconscious, not like they didn’t live for four-hundred plus years as it was. If she was going to live that long, the young Shadow figured she might as well enjoy it. Her eyes followed the direction of the twizzler, landing on the yarn with a bright smile. “Ah this? I’m knitting scarves!” She confessed. “As presents for the holiday, but ah…my fingers are getting sore.” She poured herself some hot chocolate and pressed her fingers against the warmth radiating out of her new mug, sighing softly. “Yarn is so unforgiving,” she pouted.

“Well yes,” she agreed. She could have easily said ‘no’ and been done with the whole thing. But the Shadow had an adventurous streak a mile wide, and she wasn’t going to be easily persuaded to backing down from a challenge, which was what this really was – a challenge. “But where is the fun in that?” She asked with a bright smile. “I mean honestly, where is your sense of adventure, Hamin-ah?” She shifted the backpack on her shoulders, where she had been dejected before, she was now feeling quite confident about this little trip, and wasn’t going to let the prospect of a little danger keep her from enjoying herself, especially now that she had someone else to accompany her.
“Yah I wouldn’t trip an—“ She paused, pouting, because actually she couldn’t be sure that wasn’t going to be her fate. Or worse. After all she wasn’t exactly that adept at combat and what if there was some giant evil monster in the cave she didn’t know about? No, no. Best to not think of that, she decided with a light shiver. Still pouting Minah shook her head, and started off in the direction of the caves. “I have snacks,” she finally announced, when she’d forgiven him for his comment about her tripping. “So if you get hungry or thirsty, just let me know, ne?”
In the Hall of the Spider King || Minah&Hamin
Hamin furrowed his eyebrows as she spoke. “Why do I have a feeling that you’re always getting into some sort of trouble?” The girl seemed a bit naive in that she seemed to be enjoying the thought of going into a dark cave full of spiders— unbeknownst to him— and didn’t seem to be worried about getting lost inside or worse. “You could have told them no, ya know?” Though Hamin knew that backing down from a dare would be cowardice and even someone as carefree as her would have some since of pride. With a sigh the boy nodded. If anything Hamin simply agreed to to tag along and make sure she didn’t get herself hurt, even a person who was half demon could feel guilt and he would certainly feel responsible for her if she suddenly disappeared.
"Fine. I’ll go with you because I’d rather not have you tripping and knocking yourself unconscious in the dark." The thought of adventure did excite him and being able to explore the campus a bit more in the company of someone else was more useful than getting lost again. He wouldn’t mention that he wasn’t exactly a "capable demon" as she describe, being only half of one, but he expected no real danger in exploring the cave except maybe Minah falling on her face if she really was the klutz she said she was. Shoving his hands into his pockets he followed after the other in the direction of the caves.

♡ Baby girl has More family money then she knows what to do with, this makes her very generous, a good trait to have. It also means she can't be bought, fancy gifts and outings are not the way to go with this Shadow. Surprise her with a picnic and watch her fall. Buy her diamonds and enjoy the awkward fest that comes with her trying to politely turn you down.

♡ ♡ ♡
♡ Challenge/stimulate her intellectually. Minah loves to learn and is particularly fond of art and all things creative. Teach her a new style of painting, or something culinary! You get to bond, she gets to learn, and it will bond her to you more quickly.♡ Be adventurous, Minah is always wandering and wanting to explore, taking a dangerous situation as an opportunity to make her weak in the knees isn't too bad of an idea, and allows a little skinship if you are so inclined. ♡ So you aren't musical, dislike art, hate cooking and don't want to die, that's alright! Pro tip: her only experience with dating is the crap she has seen in movies and TV dramas. Want to get her gross and blushing without working too hard? Plan a romantic event. Fold some origami stars put them in a jar and tell her it's because you couldn't give her the moon or some corny crap like that. I might be rolling my eyes, but Minah will be stupid school girl giggling for a week!
