Thinking about how Sayomi can become a sort of perpetual motion machine in combat so long as she has a source of blood. Part of why she’s such a buzzsaw in dealing with hordes is because she can throw herself into the thick of combat and typically gets drenched in enough blood to help her rapidly heal. Lesser demons are a lot easier for her to deal with since she doesn’t have to worry as much. That being said, the blood she does wind up drinking helps her power through a lot of damage that might kill another person. That being said, it’s often a temporary stop to the exhaustion that takes over after she’s been in a fight for extended periods of time, so if she’s dealt with a lot of fighting in a short amount of time, well, she’ll be out of commission by the time she finally drags herself home. Hell, there have just been times where she gets into her house and just collapses because her body is shutting down. Goro usually carries her to the couch or to her bed though.

What does this mean for her metabolism nowadays? She has a very quick metabolism that burns off calories pretty quickly, so she eats a lot more as a result. Meals that are typically for two to three people can be easily consumed by herself with no help. It also means that any poisons and alcohol are burned out pretty quickly, though the stronger the substance, the longer it takes to burn out. Cheap beer won’t get her drunk, but stronger liquors will. 

Food wise, she prefers meals with a lot of protein, so she consumes a LOT of meat and eggs. Though if she’s just eating casually and not to fill her stomach, she likes eating yakitori and udon noodles. Sweets wise, she likes dango, and can tear through it pretty quickly. Honestly though, she’s not too picky. 

Her sense of smell also sets her hunger off, and at first she was pretty disturbed by finding demonic flesh edible but has long since stopped caring about it because sometimes, desperate times call for desperate measures.
