J: I read when I'm alone. I'll read aloud, so I feel embarrassed when there is someone beside me, and I'll be worried about whether I'm disturbing others, so when I'm alone I'll find some activities that I can do only when I'm alone.

parts: at 1:02:20 a listener sent a message "i started living in seoul alone. it's been two months [now], since i'm home alone i'm very gloomy. it's been harder than i thought. i've found someone to live with (at least i think they said this) and it's very happy (awkward sentence i know, but happy was the only word i could think of). i learned a lot from living alone, but for no reason i felt really sad." then they requests kim sung gye's song i need you. jonghyun's answer is a long one, but i only understood this part near the end "when i'm alone, i usually read books." and i think he said something about being shy around people and worried he's disturbing others? so in his alone time he does things he can only do when alone?* at 1:03:50 a listener wrote "since i was young, i have had this unnie. during a tough time i didn't contact [her]. but recently, i missed her and without hesitation/shame(?) i contacted her." then i couldn't understand the part after this, but i think they might have said they met for three hours and ate delicious food, or they took a walk? then i think they said that when they parted ways, the listener said their heart was sorry and thankful. they continued "i had this precious person close to me, why did i suffer/endure it alone? i wish all people i love happiness."
*looking at k's translation it seems i understood it correct!

cute parts: at 23:55 a listener wrote something about spring and a miracle (perhaps they wished for spring to come quickly?) and that they had many thoughts [in their head] recently. jonghyun replies "today was really cold. was seoul always this cold?" and at 25:15 jonghyun says "recently, my schedule isn't [that] tight or anything, and my body isn't tired, but my heart is very very heavy." (he says something more at the end but i couldn't understand that sadly.) at 42:30 he reads a message from a listener: "i'm a [something 1-grade] student, outside i use aegyo a lot but when i come home (couldn't understand this part that well, but something about them not being able to keep their facial expression at bay? or that she looks sad?) but today, my unnie bought chocolate to give to me and wished me good luck with my exams. she also gave me a letter (or the listener wrote a letter? not sure). i was too shy to thank her. i would be thankful if [you] oppa could thank [her] in my stead. thank you and i love you" and jonghyun replies "aigoo-ya, your unnie bought you chocolate to cheer you up" then i couldn't understand more after that, but jonghyun ends with "thank you and i love you dongsaeng" (which is what the listener asked him to say in their stead)
as usual do not take my translations as accurate bc they are not! i freestyled a lot in the student "translation".

cute parts: at 22:15 jonghyun says something along the lines of "before, i knew a hyung who owned a café. it wasn't in hongdae but in apgujeong. there [something with customers which i didn't understand] i sang once. it was short(?)" and then i think he says something about missing times like that? i'm not sure so pls don't quote me on this haha. at 56:45 jonghyun laughs in a cute, embarrassed way (because the listener (or listeners daughter?) requests shinee's honesty). at 57:50 jonghyun talks about the lyrics, he says "i wrote the lyrics of honesty. i wrote the lyrics while thinking about the people [who are] always close to me." at 1:06:00 he reads a message from a listener, it reads something like this "i always listen to blue night [then i couldn't understand what he said after this, just something about the listener being embarrassed because of their age?]" then i think the message read something about them not having courage (to send a message to blue night) but tonight they had/got courage. then it reads "yes, that's right, i'm pregnant. [then i couldn't understand what was said once again, but the listener refered to the baby in the belly as "princess"]. to my happy, handsome husband; i'm sorry, thankful and i love [you]. embarrassingly, i want to request toy's a song to my daughter." jonghyuns reply to this is something i didn't understand but then he says "later, when i get married and my wife is pregnant, i'll just sit beside her and tell her" (maybe he is talking about the listeners message to their husband? "i'm sorry, thankful and i love you"?)
then at 1:13:00 jonghyun reads a message from another listener, it reads something like "for the past year i've been travelling abroad. i haven't been able to listen as much to blue night. and now when i tuned in jonghyun is the dj. [unfortunately i couldn't understand the next part]" then the listener says "when i was feeling alone (there was more to this part than that but i unfortunately couldn't understand) there was this one song who gave me strength, it's mate yearning." then they say something about the first time they discovered mate (which i couldn't understand) and how they have been crying a lot to this song when listening to it alone. "there was a person i was in love with, i loved them very much, but in the end we broke up. one year has passed and i'm still looking to meet someone new, to like someone, and to love someone." the next part i yet again didn't understand, but the message ends with their song request, which is *surprise* mate's yearning. jonghyun replies something along the lines of "you were abroad i see. mate, jung joon-il, is the vocal [of the group]" then he says something about his voice which i sadly couldn't understand. he continues "when some more time has passed, i'm sure your heart will be ready, without you having to try [so hard]."
as usual!!! do not take my crappy-translations as accurate because they are not!! even more this translation, because there were so many parts/things i couldn't understand.

cute parts: at 17:30 i think jonghyun says he doesn't have any memories of drinking (alcohol) with his family? and at 36:55 he read a message from a listener who said (something along the lines of) "when i quit work today, there was a big bug hiding [somewhere, couldn't understand exactly where it was] i got irritated because i couldn't go home(? i guess bc they were afraid perhaps), now i'm listening to blue night and recieving healing" so shitty translation i'm so sorry but i wanted to try and write it down, it sounded funny. being stuck at work because of a bug hahaha
i don't mean to laugh at those with really bad phobias of insects! i got the feeling this particular listener is not one of those though :-)

cute parts: at 32:10 jonghyuns reads a message from a listener named "kim jong-hyun", which he then proceeds to clarify, "not me" and giggles. and at 33:35 a listener says they spent their whole day inside their home, and now they made food(?) and is listening to blue night. the listener asks jonghyun how he spent the day. he replies "i woke up late, and my dog came up and woke me up. so i hugged her and slept for two more hours. then i trained, and my mom and i [did something]" which i couldn't understand sadly, but i think i heard him say "story"? idk. anyhow, he then he mentions blue night. i couldn't understand what he said here either but i would guess something like "then it was time for blue night" maybe? and at 1:16:10 a listener said "trying to study while listening to blue night is too hard, jongd's comforting voice makes my eyes fall asleep", which he softly replies "i'm sorry, my voice is too comfortable". and at 1:40:00 jonghyun reads a message from a listener (i think they said something about sharing a bedroom with her sister, but i couldn't understand more than that) and jonghyun says "aigoo, so cute" :-) at around 1:41:00 a listener says their dream is to be a radio-writer and that they one day want to work on blue night with jonghyun.
i wrote my "translation" before i discovered k's, but i thought i'd include mine as well since i already wrote it down!

cute parts: at 48:15 ko youngbae reads an ending ment, and they all burst out laughing! then kim hyung tae gives it a go and the laughing continues. at 58:00 jonghyun asks if they are satisfied with their ending ments, which they confidently replies "yes" followed by laughter. and at around 1:08:00 they joke around with the pronunciation of a message from a listener. at 1:18:00 ko youngabe makes yet another ending ment, kim hyung tae does it as well at around 1:21:00. short said, this episode is full of laughter as usual. and at 1:24:00 jonghyun mentions taemin, but I couldn't understand what he said. lastly, at 1:29:30-ish ko youngbae is.. being ko youngbae hahaha
