Citadel Hygiene

Actually you know what?  If the War Boys are raiding a nearby mall for black skater pants and silver spray paint, surely there’s a Bath & Body Works in there too.  I’m…I’m going to pretend there is, and that there is an intricate shower system at the Citadel.  

I’ve always headcanoned that there’s an area where the water system leaks, and people use that as a make-shift shower room.  Strip down, stand under the cascades and wash yoself.  There may not be soap, but water is still more than fine for cleaning up.  

Plus, I’d have to think Immortan Joe would have standards. He wouldn’t allow “his people” to be utter filths.  I imagine it’s not luxurious by any means, but I figure there is at least a way to clean the dirt from yourself.  The members of the Citadel looked far cleaner than the Wretched below.  There had to be some form of hygiene there.  That’s sort of a basic thing in any society, and the Citadel stood for society (crappy as it was).
