1/How much each age needs of sleep vrs what they get and how it affects  them
Sleep is something every person needs to function properly. Without enough sleep our bodies start to deteriorate and lose sense of control. The human body can not go long without sleep, without it we can begin to hallucinate, gain high blood pressure, are at more risk of heart failure or stroke, as well as lose our concentration and weaken our immune systems.
Newborns require 14-17 hours of sleep. They need this sleep to function and continue their growth and develop their brains better.Infants need 12-15 hours of sleep to be able to continue these functions, when these children do not get the sleep they need, they aren't able yet to communicate their problems and will cry and fuss making it harder on you as well to get the sleep you need.Toddlers need 11-14 hours of sleep to be able to grasp the concept of their lives, even though these kids can be profusely loud and annoying to put down for a nap, it's better to have them do it than deal with the consequences of their deprived sleep when their older. PreSchoolers require about 10-13 hours of sleep to perform well. They are beginning to go into school and need a consistent and healthy sleep schedule to do their part and get what they need to learn too function properly, unfortunately, preschool kids in these times and days aren't getting but roughly 5-6 hours of sleep a night due to their parents giving up fighting them to make them sleep early.School aged children need 9-11 hours of sleep, but in these times i only see them getting at least that of 5-6 hours like the preschoolers. Parents neglecting their right to put their children down to sleep and neglecting the fact their child is still growing and losing such vital sleep can cause these children to only worsen and never realize the important of sleep to their bodys.Teenagers and young adults need at least 8-10 hours of sleep to function. However, due to the schooling systems, piling with work, lack of parental authority over child's sleep, sports or other hobbies that might be in the way, teens are sometimes going days without sleep at all. I (15) try to get at least 8 hours of sleep but sometimes I can't even get 4. There's so many new responsibilities and new things provoking us to lose our sleep that it's killing our bodys slowly and some of us don't even realize it.Older adults need 7-8 hours of sleep, even if they aren't growing and need it as much as we did in our youth there's still things that are there that just aren't keeping up with how our bodies need to function. If an older adult is retired they can obviously sleep however long they want and that is okay for the most part, but some older adults still go through working and surviving without looking forward to a retirement and they might even go with as little as 4-5 hours of sleep. Even if they aren't growing everybody needs to sleep in order to be a working and functional part of society. Sleep is needed just as much as any other thing like eating and i don't believe enough people realize it.
2/How too much and too little sleep is bad for you
Sleep is like a reward in a lot of ways but sometimes too much of it can be bad for our bodies. An average person who sleeps a lot, per say 11-15 hours a day while being a teen or early adult is usually caused by mental dysfunctions. It's important to realize how bad it can be for yourself.Depressive sleep can cause you to sleep non stop repeatedly and may cause you to take a nap after you've just woken up. It drains away your days and makes you limit yourself based on how tired you feel like you are. It's a serious topic a lot of people, schools, and workplaces really need to address. Even me, a student, my mental problems and stress make me constantly tired and it does limit my needs and my will to perform well in school. I feel like if there were a better way to help keep students interactive then this problem would hopefully soon get fixed.
3/Using sleeping as a coping mechanism and how it can negatively affect you+ other things to do
Like I've said earlier, depressingly sleeping alot is something as a result of mental dysfunctions. Therefore it's a coping mechanism, one I personally use. It drains everything in you where the only thing that even remotely feels like the best part of the day is finally getting to sleep.I feel like if there were more opportunities to do things that make me passionate I'd stay away long enough to actually have a healthy sleep schedule. Writing, and informing others on topics such as this is something I enjoy being passionate about. I don't always get the opportunity to inform others on this kind of thing so I don't get to enjoy an dexpress this part of me. Having fun and being interactive with such things is a good way to keep yourself awake till it's actually the right time to sleep. Exercising your mind instead of putting it to rest constantly is always better.
4/How physiological trauma can cause you to go into depressive sleeps
Stress, anxiety, overworking, deadlines, all of these things can feel so overbearing and intrusive. They feel like they own you and they will drive you crazy. But other mental problems can make you feel like putting in all the work is useless, like not doing it won't make a difference then why should you do it at all? This is how i personally feel about it, if i dont think it will make a difference and nobody will care then i won't try. This is why it's important to remind and encourage others that what there doing matters and its important they do their best on it, some people need extra reassurance to do anything because in the past they never got it or any praise for anything so later in life it developed into a habit to just stop trying all together.
5/Ways to better help yourself sleep just the perfect amount you need
Stay passionate, do things you enjoy, talk and interact with things that make you happy that you're not asleep. Tiresome people aren't the best choice so choose people and things you will love to do constantly. Make it something worthwhile and make it count and make sure you realize no work goes unnoticed and everything matters in life. Trust yourself and your body but dont let your body stop you from helping yourself to what you need.
