After some fun experiences with a few games and some scattered episodes across the series durin' my teens, I finally sat down and read through all of the Naruto manga a lil' while ago. It was a fun journey, I kinda... loved every bit of it, even later into the timeskip (or the Shippuden Half) where I'd see moments and realize "Okay wait, that's kind of an asspull there" Not gonna bother with Boruto tho, all the shit I heard about it made me blank it out from my head as non-canon But yea, it was good to finally close the book on a franchise I realize would have more of an influence on me than I initially thought.

I really don't get the, "But a kid could see this and think it's okay!" Because it comes with so many infuriating assumptions.

Why is a kid looking at something that explicitly isn't for them? Why is the creator of said content responsible for that when they properly tagged it and told minors to not interact? Why is someone who's making content not meant for minors responsible for teaching minors that incest and grooming are bad, when that's something a kid should've been taught already?

I'd argue there's a lot more fucked up and traumatizing stuff on the internet than someone's "weird" or "problematic" ship art.

anywho I finished RWBY and idk why I always got the impression it was a poorly written show or just not a good show in general because while there are some parts I question or don’t fully understand, the show is actually really well done in terms of cohesive storytelling and character development. it’s honestly a lot better than most TV shows done by big companies these days. I will be saddened if WB ends up just gutting it and doesn’t sell it off or even if they do sell it, I hope the main team can stay and finish their story.

miku expo 2024 is the dashcon of vocaloid concerts. the projectors were replaced with LEDs and organizers told no one, still charged ppl for the projectors. someone stole the Miku canada cut out. vocaloid producers are really mad that attendees are mad that they got scammed because nothing comes before Product. the event banned glowsticks and upcharged the sale of their own, under the excuse that average glowsticks would interfere with the projectors, that the organizers knew they did not have. someone pissed on the floor. car crash outside the venue in san jose

I don’t know how to say this in a way that doesn’t sound like I’m advocating for casual cruelty or whatever but something that grates so much about this current social moment is how many people are incapable of saying they dislike something or someone without cooking up some higher morally correct reason for their dislike. Sometimes you just disliked a book. Sometimes you don’t “get” an actor or a musician. There’s nothing morally wrong with your girl’s fuckass boyfriend he’s literally just annoying and you’re annoyed that you have to pretend you like him when you know he’ll be history in six months. It’s fine. You don’t need to justify your dislike.
