He’s had to repeat the list so many times over the years, he barely bats an eyelash anymore; it’s odd to think there are people in this world who don’t have to name off an entire grocery list worth of substances they can’t get near them.  “I cross the street without paying attention to the lights and almost fall off the flower shop roof on the daily. If something does me in, it had better not be allergies. That would make for a very boring trial in any case, too.”  Saying as much makes a chill run through him, but he ignores it. A boring case; a mystery’s worst nightmare. He only turns away from his food entirely when he feels the nudge on his arm. Unsurprisingly, he releases a sigh when he notices, reaching his free hand out to push hair back in an attempt to see his face.  “Are you not going to eat?”

He nudges his arm again, whining softly as he does so. This time however it wasn't a second attempt to ask for more attention. It was because his words had concerned him. "You sh-should be m-more careful... What i-if s-something happens t-to you?" He probably wouldn't care. "I don't want s-something b-bad to happen a-at least. I’ll do m-my best to h-help prevent that." It doesn't matter whether or not the cause of death would be boring to some, it would still be horrifying nevertheless. He shivers. Kuma’s death was something he didn't want to think about, something he hopes doesn't happen. The long list of allergies runs through his head again. At least he's getting better at memorizing them.

He hums, closing his eyes for a moment as he tries to remember whether or not he ate today. Even if he didn't it isn't that big of an issue. "N-No thanks... I'm not r-really that hungry." He honestly couldn’t tell if his answer was a lie or not, it was one of those times where even the sight of Kuma distracts him from certain thoughts and feelings. Mostly anything negative or low.

The idea of hanging out with the other made him nervous. As scared as he was to make the other upset if they talked longer, he couldn't say no to this offer. He wanted to find something that would make Ken happy. And as far as he knew Tweek knew them better than he did. Besides, maybe it was a good chance to become better friends. "You lead the way. I haven't explored this town enough to know every inch of it." All he really knew where the best jobs and places to get food were. Maybe we can find you a new wallet too for old times sake.

He wouldn't help but frown, worry appearing in his eyes as he leads forward once more to plant a kiss. "I'm glad I can make that better but did something happen? Is someone bothering you again?"

some advice I got a long time ago about making your characters more realistic:

If you can’t imagine your character in silly or embarrassing situations without feeling very personally offended; take a step back, kick your character off their pedestal and let them breathe.

Let them feel and react in the same way you and others do. Let them laugh at dumb things, let them trip and fall on their face a few times. Let them experience life.

Don’t take your characters so seriously that all the fun qualities are removed in the process.
