And there’s smoke curling around a hellhound’s horns, dark eyes and hair swallowed up by the night as small, sturdy hands with raggedly short fingernails clutch at a pack of cigarettes.

She shouldn’t be smoking. Onyx’s parents have never commented on the habit—but she’s seen the things it’s done to her father. None of them are particularly pleasant, and they lick around the fringes of her mind with all the other unpleasant things she doesn’t want to think about.

Still, it’s something to do. Something that isn’t getting into trouble or fights or traps. Something that doesn’t make her parents cry, or cut their eyes at her like they’re blaming themselves for Onyx’s own mistakes.

It’s not fair to them to do that. Lung cancer isn’t exactly a perfect alternative, but—it’s better than nothing, right? And nicotine is more than a little nice. And she likes the smell of smoke. And—

This blog did not and will not send requests for bitcoin donations.

There seems to be a virus or some sort of malware going around causing blogs to “send out” chat messages to blogs that they follow asking for help with the purchase of certain items through donations of seemingly small amounts using bitcoin and adds a link to the message.

The message goes as following (at least the first message I got went like this): “Hi there buddy. I need help, I’m trying to buy a laptop and I can’t afford it. I’m about 0.36$ short, and I’d really appreciate if you could help me and transfer some money to me via bitcoin using this *link*.”

The small details in the message seems to have a few variations with the greeting, amount and purchased item showing up in different variations from formal to friendly, from 0.016 to 2$ and from a phone case to a laptop among others.

The blogs that are affected send out the messages to blogs that they follow for a long time mostly, so you are most likely to receive the message from a long time, active follower whose name you might recognize or a mutual etc. The blogs that are affected are not spam bots but actual active followers who follow the recipient for months or years and most likely the blogger who “sent” the message is unaware of the message being sent.

DO NOT OPEN THE LINK.

Opening up the link will cause the virus to spread even more and infect your computer/mobile with any sort of malware.

If you have received a message of that sort from this blog please know that it was not sent by me or within my control and ignore/delete the message without clicking the link.

Taking a deep breath, he slowly looks her over, nodding a small bit later. 

“…Very well. You can help. But if I notice that you are in this less for him and more because you want to cause pain, I will stop you. Do you understand?”

“Cuz they beat Tailor up!” She’s bouncing eagerly now, hands on Lance'a desk. “That’s f-fair, right? Someone oughta teach THEM what it feels like, and g-give them a reason not to do it again!”

That, and she likes fighting. A chance at a parent condoned excuse to attack someone is too good to pass up.

“It´s simply…I don´t want you to fight them for selfish reasons, because hurting someone out of enjoyment is a step in a very bad direction. I don´t want you to end up as someone who hurts people, just because you think it´s fun to hurt people. I´ve seen too many people in Rocket end up like that, I´d rather not have you be one of them.”

Now that…was a difficult request for him to fulfill. He could see the desire to do something in Onyx’s eyes, but he didn´t want her to do this out of rage, it would only end up causing trouble.

“…Let me ask you…why do you wish to beat them up?”
