bouncing in place like a nerd bc i’m hosting a summer solstice celebration tomorrow with my witchy friends & im so excited. i made sangria (with intent👀), ive got stuff to make honey cake & lemon cookies, i’m gonna be wearing glitter & flowers & set up an altar & oh my god i can’t even put into words how excited i am!! aaaa!!!!!

Something I’ve recently theorized about shifting (based on my beliefs/research):

Typically, people (general) are trying to align with the mindset/frequency that they have already shifted. That you easily do so whenever you choose, that you’ve already obtained this goal.

But I’ve seen a few people say before that they think focusing on multiple DRs, rather than just one all the time, would possibly halt someone's progress with shifting. (Which could possibly be the case depending on what works for the individual)

But when you’ve shifted and have already shifted multiple times to multiple of your DRs (if you plan to do that), then you’re going to be thinking about multiple realities likely all the time. You’re living multiple different lives in a way, and you possibly might not be able to always focus solely on shifting repeatedly to one of them only, since you have attachment to others too.

I’ve noticed that since I started thinking about my Sunset DR less than two weeks ago — after a year of thinking mostly of my TMNT DR — I’ve had a few lucid dreams, AND nearly shifted a few times (after months of little to none of either). So I think that thinking about multiple DRs could actually be really beneficial!

So at work there is a soda delivery guy who comes in almost everyday to restock and though we’ve barely said a word to each other, we definitely Know Of each other. Well this morning I finally got a shift where I could sleep in but my dad was like Hey the cable guy is coming at 7 to replace the cable boxes and I was like alright whatever I’ll just sleep in but forgot there was a cable box in my room. So it’s 7 in the morning I vaguely hear my dad let the cable guy into my room to just swap the box and I wake up to see??? Soda Delivery Guy???? in my room???? Turns out his second job is working cable but wow here Soda Man is standing in my doorway and I’m wrapped up in a pink bunny blanket surrounded by stuffed animals like

Every time I see someone refer to Anastasia Romanova in her 1997 animated form as a Disney princess just because Disney bought Fox and with that, the rights to the Anastasia movie, I am filled with white-hot rage.

No, she is not.

She was bought, but she was not created as one. Don Bluth and Gary Goldman did not leave Disney to create their own art, away from Disney, and work really hard to create beautiful animated masterpieces away from Disney just for Disney now to take credit for them.

Don Bluth’s movies were specifically created away from Disney. And they already had a hard enough time competing with that juggernaut. And they still made amazing unforgettable animated movies.

Just because Disney, who is buying anything that’s not nailed down, now bought the studio that has the distribution rights to this movie doesn’t make her a Disney princess. Disney princesses have for many decades now been created with the purpose of making Mickey Mouse Money, to fit into certain schemes and patterns and to sell.

Part of what makes Anastasia as good as it is is because it got to be conceived outside of Disney. Disney had nothing to do with her creation, or with the creation of the movie. She’s Disney-owned, that doesn’t make her a Disney Princess™ (and for the first time I am using the trademark symbol not in a snarky way to make a point but in a very literal way).

And the personal anger aside, because this is my favorite 2D animated movie in existence, we truly can not be giving Disney credit for everything they buy. Star Wars and Marvel are theirs because they have made them theirs, they have worked with these franchises and created huge chunks of those franchises, has created characters and lore for them. But the things that just collect dust on Disney’s shelf because they bought it? No.

Not in a world where Disney does factually buy everything they can get their grabby little mouse-paws on. That’s diminishing the accomplishments of the artists behind those works.
