hey guys!! so i really hate to do this but i really have no clue what i’m going to do at this point. my dog still needs a life-saving surgery but we’re only a third of the way there in terms of being able to pay for it.

my dog is my best friend and i seriously don’t know what i’ll do without him, so please, please, please, if you can, please donate to my paypal or venmo and help me save his life. he’s the sweetest guy in the world, a golden retriever only five years old and he seriously needs help. he will die without it and i truly don’t know what i’ll do without him.

PSA; You’re unknowingly killing groups.

Join open roleplays Join roleplays that opened a day ago. Join roleplays that opened a week ago. Join roleplays that opened a month ago.

Just join open roleplays.

So many people complain about how fast groups die these days, and yet manage to unknowingly play a big part in the doing of that. A lot of people have it in their heads that they can only join roleplays that aren’t opened yet, and then after it opens, getting apps is like pulling teeth.

Everyone’s need to only join new groups, is a big factor in what causes your group to die out.  Because once they’re open, that new group, is no longer ‘new’, so everyone moves on looking for the next new group. And if everyone is so focused on only joining new groups, then any group that’s been open for more than a week will struggle to bring in more apps, and with people ghosting (which is another issue), you’re losing more people than you’re bringing in. 

If you see a new roleplay with a killer plot that you love, that’s amazing, but make sure you’re not only looking for ‘new’ groups. Look at the groups that are already open too, because, this idea that you can only join new ones, is ruining most things that go into the tag. So stop unknowingly killing groups only applying for ‘new’ roleplays..
