Reasons not to hurt kids:
their happiness
their safety
their well being
their health
their childhood
their future
their emotional health
their mental health
because the world will hurt them too and they’re supposed to have someone in life they can trust
so they’re safe loving you
so they feel protected
because they don’t deserve pain
because it’s already so damn hard to exist on this decaying planet and they don’t need any extra stress in life
because they’re facing difficulties and need support not pain
because it makes you a horrible person to hurt a kid
because nobody benefits from it
because it teaches them that being hurt is normal, acceptable way to live
because it can push them to hurt themselves
because it will make them feel abandoned and worthless
because they feel your hatred so strongly it can break them
because they’re in a small body and it’s already frightening for them to know someone wants to hurt them
because it’s not your job to be a villain in a child’s life
because they might not recover
because there’s only so much a child can endure
because they might never stop hurting
because they will grow up and you don’t have the right to expect their forgiveness
because you’re taking away their ability to feel save and loved by you
because you might be taking away their ability to feel safe or loved by anyone
because you’re breaking their heart and they thought they could trust you
because no child deserved to be brought in this world only to be betrayed
because making a child go thru pain is a despicable and monstrous thing to do
because it doesn’t have any, ANY benefits to the child at all
because there’s a huge amount of children already traumatized and suicidal and struggling to keep themselves alive by the end of the day
because you do not have to hurt a child, ever
Reasons to hurt a child
There are no reasons. There are only excuses. Only incomprehensible garbage and lies that exist for the sole purpose of excusing your horrifying actions of hurting a kid. Because you felt like keeping a small human being in pain to satisfy your sick urges. No kid needs to be hurt to grow up right. No kids requires pain inflicted on them by people they trust and rely on in order to be raised safely. If you think there are actual reasons to hurt children it’s because you want to hurt them and will make up any kind of bullshit to excuse your abuse. No child has deserved this. Stay away from children if you can’t love them.

If your child has heard a death threat coming out of your mouth, you’re an abuser.
If your child is used to being called stupid, worthless, burden, or any kind of slur by you, you’re an abuser.
If your child knows every single way you’d like to hurt them and flinches away when you walk thru the door, you’re an abuser.
If your child knows their every vulnerability would be used as a weapon against them in your mind, you’re an abuser.
If your child was made to feel guilty and ashamed for the pain they’re being put thru, if they were told by your mouth they deserved it, you’re an abuser.
If your child heard you telling them to hurt themselves, or had you do nothing as they were hurting their own self, you’re an abuser.
If your child has to look elsewhere for the slightest bit of acknowledgment, attention and kindness, you’re an abuser.
If your child frets that other people would treat them so cruelly as you do, you’re an abuser.
If your child is afraid that other people will think of them as lowly as you do, you’re an abuser.
If your child had to beg for a necessity from you, you’re an abuser.
If your child was forced to offer labour, services or go thru strain and fear to gain basic necessities from you, you’re an abuser.
If your child had to fight to deserve to be part of your family, or to have you even acknowledge them, you’re an abuser.
If your child had no safety, support, security or love in your home, you’re an abuser.
If your child lived in fear of being kicked out, humiliated and abandoned by you, you’re an abuser.
If all you taught your child was how it feels to be hated, you’re an abuser.
If you refuse to acknowledge even for a second that you put your child thru all that suffering and fear, and still try to paint yourself as a benefactor in your child’s life, you’re an abuser and a liar.
No child has ever deserved any of this.

Shoutout to all the student athletes who don't look like what they "should" for their sport.
Shoutout to all the student athletes with toxic coaches who tell them they will never be good.
Shoutout to all the "unfit" student athletes.
Shoutout to all the student athletes who have a high BMI.
Shoutout to the student athletes who are in high school and don't want to go D1.
Shoutout to all the student athletes who have low self-confidence.
Shoutout to all the student athletes who had to unlearn bad habits from another coach.
Shoutout to all the student athletes who love their sport, even when they aren't the best on the team.
Shoutout to the student athletes who were told they'd never succeed because they are "too fat" but went ahead and did it anyway.
Shoutout to the student athletes whose team is their family.
Shoutout to the student athletes who do their sport because they find it fun, not because they want to go pro or win all the time.
Shoutout to all the student athletes who never thought they could do it but went for it anyway.
Shoutout to the student athletes. You're awesome.

If you're worried that you "don't have it bad enough" to be abused, fuck that idea. If your parent/spouse/partner is abusive? They're fucking abusive you are abused that counts. If you are abused, you're abused, full stop. Just because someone has it worse doesn't mean that you don't have it bad. Just because they don't hit you doesn't mean that being told you're worthless over and over and over and over until you can't see your self worth without them doesn't "count" as abuse.

It's okay to be stressed and not know what to do about it.
It's okay to be stressed and not know why.
It's okay to be stressed and know exactly why you are stressed.
It's okay to be stressed and not do the things you usually do.
It's okay to be stressed and do exactly what you normally do.
It's okay to be stressed and need to reach out.
It's okay to be stressed and not want to reach out.
It's okay to be stressed and need comfort.
It's okay to be stressed and just need space to sort it out.
It's okay to be stressed right now, in this moment.
It's okay to step away from a stressor.
It's okay to feel whatever it is you're feeling right now.
You're going to be just fine.
I promise.

I am so proud to say that my college is so LGBT friendly, that in a survey Res Life put out they forgot to include straight people.
