but can we also talk about how we'd seen the priest in regular clothes out and about before right? and yet in episode 5 he shows up at her place seemingly in the middle of the night in his priest get-up and like... that was a choice. it was a choice. he made a choice. and that's all i have to say about it.

edit: actually that isn't all i have to say about it, the more i think about it it's actually very clever, cause like he says, he's only supposed to love one thing and that's god and yet he knows if he sleeps with her he'll fall in love with her so wearing his priest get-up (i'm sorry, i don't know what it's actually called) seems like armour. like this is who i am. this is what i'm supposed to do. and in order to turn this down i need to shield myself. and then he gives in. and it's almost like he's resigning himself to the fate that they are going to sleep together, he is going to (or possibly already has) fall(en) in love with her, and they are going to have sex, and in doing so he is going to remove that armour. damn.
