We all know how suspicious a writer’s search history is, but have you ever considered the poor editor who has to google the stuff a writer was too afraid to look up?

half-foots are often mistaken for young tallmen or dwarves by people who don’t know about them.
But Chilchuck is like the 6’5” of half-foots. I wonder if he’s not even immune to that in half-foot communities. Like imagine you’re at the market and you see the tallest guy you ever saw. Like “holy shit he’s tall” tall. He’s a head taller than everyone else. APPARENTLY half-foots and tallmen can have fertile children. People probably constantly ask him if he’s half-tallman or half-dwarf. Maybe not dwarf cause he’s so skinny.
Chilchuck is also a middle child of 5 siblings. I wonder if his whole family is like that or if he’s just token beanpole. Man, the whiplash he must’ve felt the first time he went to a more diverse area and everyone started calling him small. no wonder he drinks

roommate showed me his gargoyles (not a euphemism) only they weren't gargoyles they were grotesques, because they don't serve any functional architectural purpose (ie: as waterspouts), so i had to restrain myself from a category 5 pedantic fun ruiner moment

oh my goodness, one of dian fossey’s first close up observations with gorillas happened when she was trying to climb a tree to see them better, but so badly that by the time she’d gotten up the entire group had come out of hiding to look at her: “Nearly all members of the group had totally exposed themselves, forgetting about hiding coyly behind foliage screens because it was obvious to them that the observer had been distracted by tree-climbing problems, an activity they could understand.”

Importing this from twitter because I figured you all might like it
I didn't find anything like this in my search for it, so I put together all of the characters that are in the Adventurer's Bible into a height reference chart.

Writers are expected to deliver stories in specific size categories, but judging the size of a story before it’s written is like predicting the weather. It’s not impossible, but even with careful measurement and lots of experience, it’s never entirely reliable. However, the right signals can give some idea of how big a story will be. The more we observe these signals, the faster we’ll get the hang of it.
