Important! Sims 4 cas.fulleditmode bug

If you have the new Sims 4 EP Growing Together, you need to know that there's a bug with cas.fulleditmode and Sims with added traits (beyond the basic 3 traits). If you trigger this bug, all your household Sims will have the same name and your CAS UI will be corrupted. Worse, this bug can spread to other Saves.

You can avoid this bug:

Back up your saves outside the game folder before you play. Make this a habit. Don't rely on an automated online backup (like Drive) to do this; there are known issues with this.

Save before entering cas.fulleditmode. That way, when you do the next thing, you haven't lost a lot of gameplay. You might be fine if you're not touching Traits in CAS, but play safe!

If you encounter the bug in CAS, exit without saving.

Before you open a new save, exit and restart the start.

There is not a mod for this bug. When this bug is resolved, I'll updated this post.

Discover University Short Dread Fade Recolors

I’ve enjoyed making CAS items in Sims 4 Studio quite a bit. From clothing, hair seemed like the next logical step. 

I really like the short dreadlock fade from Discover University, but I wanted an expanded color palette. I found @raiinbowspriinkles​ Naturals Palette and thought it was gorgeous and expansive. So I used it to recolor this hairstyle, modeled here by my lovely Sims Landyn and Kevin.

Base Game Sweater and Miniskirt Recolors

So, I’m back to my adventures in recoloring and I picked some base game sweaters and a skirt for this project. :) I used my Pantone Brights, Darks, and Neutrals palettes again and had our lovely Sim Niko model a couple of outfits.

Nifty Knitting Dreads Recolors

I love the dreads from the new Nifty Knitting pack and saw the perfect opportunity to do another recolor! 

I recolored the original EA hair in @raiinbowspriinkles​​ Naturals Palette, modeled here by Jasmine, Nia, and Benjamin. I also added a silver option for the hair elastics in each of the palette’s 24 shades.

Landgraab Family: Makeover Edition (Legacy Edition Compatible)

I thought the Landgraabs sorely needed makeovers, so I gave it a go. I gave Geoffrey and Nancy updated, more refined styles. Malcolm Taylor ended up with a bit of a rocker vibe. And the Landgraabs have a kitty now! Princess is a Sphinx with the Clever, Curious, and Spoiled traits.

Pancakes Family: Makeover Edition (Legacy Edition Compatible)

3 Birksche Male Hairs, Recolored with WMS Naturals Palette

Howdy! So, I know it’s been a minute since I’ve released any CC, but I wanted to share a few recolors I did for Sims in my current game save. I love Birkshe’s hairs, especially the male and Afro-textured hairstyles, but i wanted an expanded color palette. SOOO…I took the three I use the most and recolored them with Wildly Miniature Sandwich’s Naturals Palette.

Ian MacNicol is wearing Birksche’s Short Afro Curls. Male frame, hat compatible. Female version also available (I haven’t recolored it yet - will soon!)
