Whoops, I dropped off the face of the Earth… and onto a pulsar planet!

Ayyyyy, what up, my classes are in full swing now and I kind of abruptly vanished after my winter break activity surge 😅 Unfortunately, I’m not going to have time to draw my OCs 24/7 for a few months now. I AM, however, taking a class called “Astrobiological Art,” so I will still be drawing other stuff (and maybe trying out other media, too)! Our first creative assignment was to make ourselves a zoom background related to the class and our research, so I tried to draw the sky as I thought it might be seen from a pulsar planet. A pulsar planet is a planet formed in a supernova that orbits a pulsar, a neutron star (what’s left of the star after the supernova) that emits a pulse of radiation at regular intervals. I’d originally planned on a more ambitious scene with the surface of the planet in view and maybe some actual math for accurate scaling, colors, and such, but then I procrastinated until less than an hour before class oops 😬 But I still think this is kinda neat, even if I didn’t finish rendering it!

I recently found my “gold” hammer after misplacing it. It’s my favorite tool ever because it looks like a regular hammer trying to be fancy,

but then you twist both halves and unscrew it to find a flat-head screwdriver in the middle.

BUT, if you twist the very end and unscrew that

you find a phillips screwdriver.

BUT DON’T THINK THAT’S ALL THERE IS! THERE’S MORE!! unscrew the very end again to find a smaller flat-head screwdriver!

i was worried my cat is dehydrated because i never see him drink water so i’ve started leaving a cup of water that’s “mine” (aka he sees me drink out of it once before he does) in my room so he thinks he is being a rebellious naughty by drinking out of it but rlly he is just following my plan & being hydrated .

I don't get the dnd ranking videos because there is actually no way to rank feats or (sub)classes in a general sense? The whole point of dnd is that everything is subjective. Those videos are just clickbait monuments to dudes' egos who think their opinions are not only objectively true, but important enough to put out into the world as gospel and then fight people who disagree in the comments 😒

These guys that do annoying videos like this did make one video I liked where they talked about ridiculous ways to do damage by combining certain spells. My favorite was casting Prismatic Wall in a sphere above enemies and have an ally who is hopefully next in the order cast Reverse Gravity to force them through all the layers, free action drop the spell to force them through all the layers again, and then they take an additional 20d6 bludgeoning damage from falling from 100 feet in the air.

That's a super creative combination to do in game without ranking which spells in the game are the best or worst.
