The difference between my family and other people is that my family thinks I'm manipulative and fake to everyone else in the world because they've never seen me act like a huge cunt like family has. the way to defeat TCG rulescreep is simple

add a card thathas average stats and a simple special rule. if the special rules of an enemy card are over 2 sentences length, you may choose to be immune to them.

Only works in a TCG that doesn't use keywording. In a game with a well-developed and editorially consistent keywording schema, all that accomplishes is encouraging folks to optimise their decks for maximum keyword density, which is literally the opposite of what you want.
