Astarion’s favorite blood is (.) blood

and I believe this for one simple reason.

It has nothing to do with the fact that’d he could obtain this particular meal through a sexual act and everything to do with something he says in the game.

In the beginning of the game when he approaches you drunk off the bear he found, if you say “blood is blood, isn’t it?” (I think that’s how the line goes) he says that that’s not true because sentient blood has life essence and implies that that’s what makes human blood better than animal blood, because “some creatures have so much more life than others.”

What blood contains more life essence than menstrual blood??? There’s no other type of blood more full of life than menstrual blood.

It contains all the nutrients required to not only sustain life, but to grow life from nothing within a womb.

That shit has to be like STEROIDS for him. He’d be bouncing off the walls, ripping all your enemies in half with his bare hands, just going absolutely feral with strength and power if Tav let him drink their menstrual blood.

I’m sure this take has been verbalized before but as I was beginning to write the rough draft/outline of my period-sex fic on the treadmill this popped into my mind and now I can’t think of anything else.
