I have been obsessed with this coin since I first learned about it. I had little less than a mild interest in ancient numismatics, really only as it related to the other things I was interested in.

That was until I watched a video about the coin and the fact that someone held it in their hands; turned it into a necklace/medallion shortly after it was minted likely because they were a supporter of 'the Liberators'.

Unfortunately we'll likely never know who's hand held it first and if they wore it, hidden away under their toga/tunic in those chaotic years following today. But that's okay, maybe I'll write about it, I don't know, I think about weekly almost.

Anyway, happy Ides everyone.
