I remember the first day of class when you proudly solved every math problems on the board and I dumbly can’t. I remember how you were freaking handsome when we were tasked to introduce ourselves, that’s why I did my best when it was my turn.

Days passed and my interest to you never stops. I remember when our eyes met but I looked away because anxiety was killing me. I hoped you didn’t took it wrongly. You were so handsome that my insecurities have taken upon me and I couldn’t bare you looking at me. Days passed and still those eye contacts continued, and me looking away continued. 

I remember that day when we were divided for an activity and you were chosen the leader of the other group and I was as well. I was freaking pressured, considering that it was like a competition with rules of whoever has a lot, wins. i was competing over you. I remember I was sweating when you came on to me to negotiate and I was stubborn enough and played hard to get so you wouldn’t stop pestering me. And I still remembered how I freaking laughed and giggled while you were offering everything to me in exchange for the puzzle piece that we have which your team’s puzzle was missing. Good ol’ times. 

I remember as well how you arrogantly answered every question that there is, I was completely swooned by then. You were hella cute as fine, I lowkey told my bffs over you, ‘one knows you and I don’t want my secret to be knew. Said you were 'gwapo’ and smart. 

I remember how you @ me at our gc later that day because my bffs just happened to stop by at our school to come see me. I jokely asked you if you liked one of my friend and you quickly replied no. My heart had beat so fast that my fingers were twitching as well. Finally, a conversation with you outside the school. 

I was hoping that you would continue the convo but you did not, instead you @ another girl, a classmate of ours, and called her Ms. Secretary in the cutest way ever with the purpose of I don’t even remember at all. 

And I remember how I was dumb enough to even thinking of falling in love with you. Reality hit me straight in the head. I realized you and I will never happen. I remember how you got closer to her, Ms. Secretary as you call her and found out from somebody that you liked her. What a perfect couple you two are, I was sad but happy as well that you’ve found someone that is just like you, smart and beautiful. 

I remember how I thought myself to move on and forget about you and your pretty smile. Every break of the day was hard, knowing that you’ll took the time and opputunity to sit beside her, it broked me but never mind that, I oath to move on from this stupid lil crush I have on you.

I remember how you were brokenhearted when her mother didn’t approved of the relationship that you have and so you stop talking to her. You were teased most of the time, I know you were embarrassed. Of course you would be, dumped by your own crush is humiliating. 

I remember how you forget about her by serving the lord faithfully. Every worship events, you attended all of it. I guess it’s your way of coping up to your broken heart, letting the lord fixed it for you piece by piece. That time, I completely moved on.  

Today, as we practice for our  performance and you were my partner, I clearly understand why my heart beats so fast because it had happened before. Having a crush on you again had me going through wheels. As you taught me the steps, as you gently touch my waist and as you instructed my hands to move up to your shoulder. I couldn’t keep up, I felt really nervous. 

When night has come, I prayed about having you. I prayed that if it’s God’s will to make us happen, then so be it. You were all I prayed before, a man who’s smart, responsible and God-fearing. 

I hope that this time your stares mean something, your moves on me means something, and I also hope that it continues and blooms into something more beautiful. That would be all, goodnight smart-ass!
