can you do something with george being super cuddly with his boyfriends? :) (poly beatles)
Paul is in the middle of composing what he thinks might be a masterpiece, so he’s very tempted to mumble not now, George when his youngest boyfriend takes a seat at the piano next to him and leans his head on Paul’s shoulder with a heavy sigh.
But George’s hair smells good and Paul is a weak man, and the melody immediately disappears from his head anyway.
“Are you writing a love song about me?” George teases, gripping Paul’s arm.
“One verse was about you,” Paul replies truthfully, giving in to the cuddle. “But you’ve made me forget it now.”
George doesn’t seem to care, and neither does Paul.
After ten minutes with George in his arms he’ll be able to write an even better love song than the one he’s forgotten.
*****
Ringo has never been in a relationship with someone who likes to cuddle so much. He’s only ever really associated physical intimacy with sex, even with John and Paul, but with George it’s very different.
When George plonks himself down on the sofa next to Ringo and wraps an arm around the smaller man, Ringo knows that this isn’t going to end in sex. That isn’t what this is about. If anyone else did this to him, it would be a come on, but not when it’s George.
George just wants to touch and hold.
He just wants to run his fingers through Ringo’s hair, and feel the heat of his body, and be close to him. There’s no other expectation behind it other than to be with him.
And that’s why George is Ringo’s favourite.
*****
It isn’t often that a journalist manages to get the best of John. He’s witty enough that he can deflect or make a joke of the most probing or inappropriate questions, but today he’s just not in the mood.
He’s not at his best, and as a result he lets a journalist make a fool of him, right in front of a packed press room and (more importantly) the lads.
John wants to punch a wall afterwards, but the thing that stops him is George pressing himself against him and wrapping his arms around John’s neck.
He doesn’t say anything and he doesn’t have to. George says everything through his touch.
He makes John feel like he’s not an idiot, not a failure.
And that’s why John will always love him.

Paul feels so guilty that he can’t really enjoy the sex in the same way he normally would.
Brian is good; he is always so good. He’s an older man who knows what he’s doing with his money and with his artists and with his cock.
So the noises Paul makes aren’t fake; Brian always manages to fuck breathy little sighs out of him or the odd moan. Tonight though he’s really playing it up; Paul isn’t exactly vocal in bed, but right now he’s screaming Brian’s name at the top of his lungs, exaggerating his pleasured moans as Brian pounds into him-
Afterwards, when they’re finished, Brian gives Paul a quizzical look as he hands the younger man a cigarette and lights it for him.
“Are you going to tell me what that was all about?” Brian asks, voice soft and smooth.
“That was a really good shag,” Paul sighs, cuddling up to Brian and hoping the intimacy will distract the older man.
“Mm.” Brian is not convinced. “Well it sounded to me as if you were very keen for somebody to know just how good a shag it was.”
He taps the wall behind them gently which separates them from the hotel room John is staying in.
Paul buries his face in Brian’s chest. He loves having sex with Brian, he really does, and he feels terrible for using him like this. Brian is the kindest man Paul has ever met, and if he weren’t so in love with John he would probably be in love with Brian.
“I’m not angry,” Brian chuckles, kissing Paul’s hair. “But I wish you would find other methods to attract his attention. I could’ve used the time with Ringo tonight. You know being back in Hamburg is bringing up bad memories for him.”
Paul really does feel guilty now. He’d begged Ringo to swap their nights with Brian because this was the only night where Paul would have the chance to be fucked by Brian right next door to John. And although he loves sex with Brian, he knows Ringo needs this a lot more than he does.
“I’m sorry,” Paul whispers, kissing Brian’s shoulder. “I don’t know how else to get through to him.”
Brian simply kisses Paul and tells him he’ll rearrange the rooming arrangements tomorrow so that John and Paul are sharing.
Not for the first time, Paul thinks that none of them really deserve Mr Brian Epstein.

eric/george affair au: when layla's first made about George, George is around to hear Eric softly singing it. Eric snatches a kiss from George there, and George backs away. It's a small jam session at the at the house and Ringo's come home after having a chat with John and Paul. He doesn't know what Eric's done or the divide he's caused.
The tension is thick in the air when Ringo walks through the door
George’s lips are still warm and wet, his heart pounding in his chest as he stares at Eric sitting next to him.
Eric is breathing as if he’s just run a marathon, as if the weight of his confession was so heavy that it was crushing him. He remains frozen as Ringo walks into the living room, oblivious to what happened only a few moments ago.
“We’re invited to John and Paul’s for Christmas, before I forget,” Ringo says cheerfully, giving George a quick kiss. “I’ve told them we might be seeing your parents.”
George nods numbly.
Eric kissed him.
Eric loves him.
“Cup of tea, Eric?” Ringo asks, clearly not sensing that something is wrong. “I’m just about to put the kettle on.”
“Eric was just about to leave,” George cuts in quickly.
Eric masks the hurt well, but George can see the sting of rejection in his eyes.
“Yeah.” Eric swallows, voice thick. “Thanks anyway, Rich.”
George can’t even look at him as Eric stands to leave. He can’t think properly.
He loves his husband, and Eric has no right to put this doubt in his mind.

Hi! Just want to drop by and let you know how much I enjoy this blog, been slowly working my way through the whole thing and it's been just delightful. I love the tenderness you convey, especially between Brian and the boys, and the way you create these complex and vulnerable character dynamics that really touch my heart. Some of your fics have just gotten into my head and set up camp and I love it (especially ot5, king John, and the cheating story with George and Ringo -- as well as many other one shots that I can't name because there's too many!). I noticed you've been inactive for a bit and I want you to know that there's no pressure to come back if it's time to move on from this blog. You're a great writer and you should follow your heart. Regardless I'm grateful for all you've given us.
Thank you so much for these kind words - I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the blog and I hope you’re doing well!

Time travel.
Ringo laughs at Paul’s theory at first. When a searing white flash momentarily blinds them and they somehow end up standing on a beach in the Bahamas, Ringo thinks he might be having a stroke.
He’s had freaky experiences when he’s been drugged up or so drunk he can’t remember his own name, but this isn’t that. He’s been clean and sober for years, and he’s eighty-two years old, so he assumes this must simply be the end.
One moment he’d been having dinner with Paul in one of his favourite restaurants, as they usually do when Paul is in LA, and the next he’s standing in the sand surrounded by palm trees, waves lapping over his shoes.
Maybe he’s dead already. Maybe this is heaven.
It feels so real though, and Paul is standing right beside Ringo, his face pale with shock as he blinks up at the strong sun beaming down on them.
It takes Ringo a moment to realise they’re in the Bahamas - he recognises the beach but can’t quite place it - and suddenly he knows exactly where they are because there’s a young John Lennon swimming in the sea about ten feet in front of them.
Paul must clock John at the same time, because Ringo senses the other man freeze next to him, his eyes fixed on the scene in front of him.
John must be in his mid-twenties. He doesn’t notice them; he’s simply floating in the water, sunglasses perched on his nose as he gazes up at the sky. He is very much alive, and a lot younger than the last time Ringo saw him.
Maybe someone slipped something into Ringo’s drink at the restaurant.
Paul grabs Ringo’s arm, eyes wide and still fixed on John as if he can’t believe what he’s seeing.
Paul opens his mouth and it’s clear that he’s about to call out to the young John, but before he has a chance there’s a blinding white flash once again, and suddenly the beach is gone, and they’re standing outside a run-down club with a poster on the front door advertising music acts, all written in German.
Hamburg.
Before Ringo can get his bearings any further, it happens again. And again. And again.
Each time they end up in a place he recognises, a place they’ve been before. Sometimes they’re there for only a minute or two, sometimes several minutes.
Maybe Ringo really is dead and his life is literally flashing before his eyes. It doesn’t explain why Paul is with him though.
It’s only when they end up at the back of a registry office watching John and Paul’s wedding that Paul whispers time travel in Ringo’s ear.
Ringo wants to tell him not to be so fucking ridiculous, but he’s too busy staring at a twenty-two year old George sitting in the front row.
He can only see the back of George’s head, but Ringo knows it’s him. Not only because he would know the back of George’s head anywhere, but also because there’s a twenty-five year old version of himself sitting right next to George.
His heart beats a little faster. He wills George to turn around. Ringo would give anything to see his face again.
He has no idea if people can see them, but he suddenly starts thinking about every time travel movie he’s ever seen. Can they interact with people here without messing up the future? Or did he never simply notice that an older version of himself and Paul were standing at the back at John and Paul’s wedding? What would happen if he went up to George right now to talk to him? Ringo doesn’t even know what he would say; there’s so much he’s dreamt of saying if he ever had the chance to see George again - I love you, I miss you, I think about you every day, I wish you were still here, our grandchildren are so beautiful, you were always my everything -
And then as if George can hear him, he turns to look over his shoulder, and his eyes meet Ringo’s.
Ringo’s breath catches in his throat; he tries to sob George’s name but nothing comes out, so he takes off his sunglasses so that he can make eye contact with the person he’s loved every day since he was twenty years old.
George is even more beautiful than Ringo remembers, and even though he spends every day looking at pictures of George, nothing compares to the real thing.
There’s a moment of confusion on George’s face, as if he almost recognises the tearful blue eyes gazing back at him, but then there’s another white flash and he’s gone.
Just gone.
He was close enough that Ringo could have walked right over there and spoken to him. He was almost close enough to touch.
Time travel.
Familiar scenes appear before them as they skip through time in a series of flashes. They watch the highs and lows of their lives, and Ringo doesn’t understand why. He doesn’t understand why this is happening, or why they’re seeing the particular things they’re seeing.
And maybe it doesn’t matter, because he gets to see George.
Even when he sees some of the moments he doesn’t particularly want to relive, he’ll take them just so he can see George.
George screaming at Ringo when Ringo drinks so much that he nearly dies. (Ringo reminds himself that’s the moment that made him quit drinking altogether).
George sinking into a deep depression when John dies. (Ringo reminds himself that John’s death strengthened their crumbling marriage).
George sprawled across Eric’s lap in a nightclub. (Ringo reminds himself that Clapton doesn’t get George in the end).
George sick in a hospital bed during the last days of his life. (Ringo reminds himself that George isn’t in pain anymore).
But Ringo is allowed to see good moments too. His favourite moment that he witnesses is probably their first kiss, because he can still remember exactly how he felt in that moment even sixty years later, and it makes him feel twice as happy to be able to experience it again from a slightly different perspective.
He almost forgets that Paul is right next to him throughout this entire journey, and he’s just in the middle of wondering whether Paul is experiencing similar emotions seeing John again, when suddenly there’s another white flash-
And they’re right back at the restaurant.
Ringo blinks.
They’re sat exactly how they were sat when this all started, as if no time at all has passed.
Paul is completely pale, as if he’s just seen a ghost, which makes Ringo think he didn’t just dream the whole thing.
“Time travel, eh?” Ringo chuckles nervously under his breath, trying to make light of the situation.
It’s only then that he realises his shoes are still wet from the beach.
