During the summer of 2020, Lazzara was spiraling. She realized she no longer believed in her gender identity, but “I didn’t see a way forward.”
That October, Lazzara was working as a janitor in an office building in the Seattle area when she caught her reflection in a bathroom mirror. For the first time, she said, she saw herself as a woman. “I had not allowed myself to have that thought before,” she said. It was shocking but also clarifying, she said, and “a peaceful feeling came over me.”
Then she began to ponder her sexuality. In middle school, she had crushes on girls. After her transition, she identified as a transgender man who was bisexual. Now, she realized, she was a lesbian.
Lazzara stopped taking testosterone. She later asked her doctor in the Seattle area for advice, but he seemed unsure about how to proceed. She found a new doctor and recently sought laser hair removal on her face.
Lazzara told Reuters she now realizes that gender treatment was not appropriate for her and that it took a toll on her physical and mental health. “I do wish my doctors had said to me, ‘It’s OK to feel disconnected from your body. It’s OK to like girls. It’s OK to be gender non-conforming.’”

it really is the trans topic that’s holding feminism back. this one issue is so contentious that it’s preventing a whole wave of feminism from public consideration. It seems a lot of people would they be willing to hear us out if not for this one thing? but why … do they not think perhaps they should hear us out anyway? they’d rather believe a bunch of educated well-read liberal/leftist women suddenly decided to be evil raging bigots about this one thing .. & for no discernible reason… than think maybe we actually have many good and valid reasons to be gender critical, if only they took the chance to hear us out. it’s so disheartening

terf? I don’t know what that means. the word is meaningless. there’s no real criteria you have to fit to be called this.
lesbian who doesn’t want to touch a dick? terf.
woman who says biological sex is real? terf.
woman who speaks out after being sexually assaulted by a trans woman? terf.
woman who makes uterus art while dealing with ovarian cancer? terf.
woman who points out that humans are sexually dimorphic? terf.
woman who claims women experience discrimination on the basis of sex? terf.
woman who claims that it is impossible to get uterine cramps without a uterus? terf.
woman who critiques giving hormone-blockers to children because of medical consequences like weakened bones and infertility? terf.
woman who suggests that therapy should be explored as an option to treat gender dysphoria before transition/surgery? terf.
woman who believes that gender is a social construct? terf.
woman who says no to dating a trans woman? terf.
woman who talks about her period/health issues surrounding her period? terf.
woman who thinks skirts and makeup have nothing to do with womanhood? terf.
woman who wants to keep single-sex spaces? terf.
pregnant woman who doesn’t want to be called a ‘pregnant person’ or ‘incubator’? terf.
any woman who doesn’t want to be called by other dehumanizing terms like ‘menstruator’ or ‘uterus-haver’ or ‘ovary-haver’? terf.
woman who takes issue with trans women making rape/death threats? terf (who deserves to be raped and murdered, of course.)
let’s be honest. the only thing you have to do to be called a terf is to be a woman who dissents.

"There is a huge appeal .... to black and white thinking. It's the easiest place to be and in many ways the safest place to be. An 'all or nothing' position on anything; you will definitely find comrades, you will easily find a community. We should mistrust ourselves the most when we are certain and we should question ourselves the most when we receive a rush of adrenaline by doing or saying something. Many people mistake that rush of adrenaline for the voice of conscious. ...Conscious speaks in a very small and inconvenient voice and its normally saying to you "Think again, look more deeply, consider this.""

“Consent violation”, “scene gone wrong”
Too much words for blatant rape. They really likened it to a mundane boundary crossing.
