Hanbok in Love Nikki, Evaluated by Historical Accuracy

By someone with absolutely no authority except being Korean and hyperfixating on Korean traditional dress

As of October 2020, there are a total of nine outfits on Love Nikki’s Western server that are based on traditional Korean dress, or hanbok. While I of course don’t expect every single suit to be completely loyal to the historical era it’s inspired by, I do think it’s a shame that the hanbok suits we do have are somewhat designed to conform to more modern beauty standards, losing much of the style’s unique personality in the process. This post is just a way to break down some of the more obvious inaccuracies.
