4. Project Significance
Valuable Life Forms, a call for a more inclusive definition of life, a greater moral and ethical response and responsibility towards non-human life forms in an age of species ambiguity and species mixing, questioning the hierarchical order of life forms and their subsequent exploitation and even eradication.

Video Process
Firstly I used the scene graphic as a video cover and then introduced the concept of this project. This video goes through the narrative on a timeline. Below each species is a timecode that represents them being created and watched over, showing discipline. At the end of the video, I will show a scene from the space they are in and end the narrative with a timecode.

Video
About the video as a whole I wanted to use the concept of timeline and countdown to do it, because archive is a process of recording time and events, so I designed the video to be divided into 3 parts of the timeline to narrate the story, and at the same time use coding to show it. The whole is from the red fire ants being wiped out, experimenting with invasive species, to the creation of a docile species.
Wave effects + Shape key + Camera
Since I needed to show each species individually in the video, I added kinetic effects to them all. Wave effects + Shape key + Camera were added to them in blender, the details were adjusting the position of each model and hitting keyframes.

Coding
As mentioned earlier, I wanted to use coding as a metaphor for this regularity, so I processed the images with processing. I found that people's attitudes towards species invasions and people's attitudes towards refugees were ambivalent and ambiguous, but also hope there is an orderliness.

Glass material
During the process of making the visual, I still wanted to have a predominantly black colour scheme. But here also tried some glass effects, but here it would not be possible to add on a texture map, missing some relevance to the project, so in the end no glass material was used.
