Here are six album covers that explain where I've been spending most of my Internet time over the last few years. I am not going to elaborate.

Also I intend to be as active on here as I have been on Twitter. Which is about as active as I was on Tumblr.
In conclusion, we all need to start using LiveJournal again.
I hear people are using this thing again or something.

Toxic AKA B0B Barker - Metallica (2003)
A timeless classic I made back in 2003, that will echo through the ages with timelessness.
Also the more I think about the more I believe this song is really about the life and times of Kanye West.

Was at the local thrift store today and found in the record section, all five albums by Klaatu, the Canadian bands who garnered quite a bit of attention in the late 70s because of the rumor that they were secretly the Muppets.

Obviously the title of Legend of Korra's Final book will be entitled Magnets and will deal with Varrick deciding to deal out vigilante justice in his magnet suit along with his trusty sidekick Kuvira, in an attempt to restore order to the Earth Kingdom.

Rick Dee's Weekly Top 40 for the Week of May 19, 1990
Tumblr media
So a few weeks ago I was at the Edmonton Music Collectors Show in which I picked up a variety of different records.  One of my more interesting finds was this complete full episode of Rick Dee's Top 40 from May 19,1990, found in a box labelled "3 for $2".  There were two radio shows in the box as well, one from 1988 and another from 1990, but I decided to only get one of them since each show consisted of four records and I want to lug around too many records.  So instead I picked up a copy of Terence Tren D'arby's Introducing the Hardline and an unopened compilation of song parodies recorded by a local Edmonton radio station from 1987, which I have yet to listen to because I'm kind of scared to.
Anyways I took a listen to this entire thing, writing down each entry and taking various notes.  I can safely this say that this reaffirms my position that 1990 was one of the worst years for popular music, being an utter dead zone for anything worth remembering.  Only about a quarter of these songs I've actually heard before, and that includes Partners in Kryme's Turtle Power.
So here are my notes:
40. Michel’E - Nicety (Who was best known for sounding like this when she talked)
39. Whistle - Always and Forever (originally a hit for Heatwave in 1978)
38. Brent Bourgeois  - Dare to Fall In Love (Apparently he was the lead singer of the group Bourgeois Tagg who were mentioned on the show as being a one hit wonder for their 1987“hit” , “I Don’t Mind at All”, which I’m sure everyone remembers )
37. Luther Vandross - Here and Now (“His biggest hit ever!”)
36. Don Henley - The Heart of the Matter
35. Louie Louie - Sittin In The Lap Of Luxury
34. Seduction - Heartbeat
33. Motley Crue -  Without You
32.  Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence
31. Lisa Stansfield - All Around the World
30. Electronic - Getting Away With It (They mention Johnny Marr and Bernard Summer but not the groups they’ve been involved with)
29. B-52s - Deadbeat Club
28. Fleetwood Mac - Save Me
27. Basia - Cruising for a Bruising (The Polish Pulverizer)
26. Taylor Dayne - I’ll Be Your Shelter
25. Partners in Kryme - Turtle Power
24. After 7 - Ready Or Not
23. Jane Child - Don’t Wanna Fall In Love
22. Babyface - Whip Appeal
21. Adam Ant - Room at the Top
20. Giant - I’ll See You in My Dreams
19. Richard Marx - Children of the Night  (Featuring a choir of 20 runaway kids)
18. Jude Cole - Baby It’s Tonight
17. Bel Biv Devoe - Poison
16. Phil Collins - Do You Remember
15. Perfect Gentlemen - Ooh La La (I Can't Get Over You) (This was probably the worst thing that I was subjected to)
14. Aerosmith - What it Takes
13. Expose - Your Baby Never Looked Good in Blue
12. Michael Bolton - How Can We Be Lovers?
11. Sweet Sensation - Love Child
10. Linear - Sending All My Love
9. Roxette - It Must Have Been Love
8. Calloway - I Wanna Be Rich
7. Rod Stewart and Ronald Isley - This Old Heart of Mine
6. Wilson Phillips - Hold On
5. MC Hammer - U Can’t Touch This (“How does MC Hammer know he can trust his manager?  Why, he hired his brother and he’s doing a great job!”)
4. Heart - All I Wanna Do is Make Love To You
3. Janet Jackson - Alright
2. Sinead O Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U
1. Madonna - Vogue
So many Orchestra Hit sounds in the opening intro.
Alpine White’s the very best.  A dream you can’t resist.
People sound really excited to hear some Phil Collins
Eyeliner is making a huge comeback for summer 1990!
Prior to the whole lip syncing incident, most jokes about Milli Vanilli seemed to involve their dreadlocks.
THINGS YOU’LL NEVER HEAR: “Three tickets to Madonna?  No thanks.  How bout three tickets to Muppets on Ice?”
Some guy from New York working for Execution Services won a Sony Watchman for correctly identifying a sped up clip of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire” which they called “A Speedy CD” because they sped up a compact disc.
The top 3 Frozen Breakfasts are: 3. Nutragrain Waffles, 2. Eggo Homestyle Waffles, 1. Common Sense Oat Bran Waffle.
Of course the best thing was this little discussion about this new musical style known as “Hip Hop”:
Have you heard about Hip Hop? It’s an offshoot of rap music and it’s a lot like rap music, but it has it’s own language so let me teach you a little hip hop: A phrase like “tip dog” means he or she is a groupie and they hang out with the band.  Someone tells the party was “bones”, that means it was a bad party,it was not fun, it was a bust.  And if someone tells you that MC Hammer “blew up” last night, don’t worry it means that MC was great in concert!

Ahh yes,  The days when the internet was going crazy over stuff like Men Without Hats cover of I am the Walrus, The Phunk Junkeez' Me N Yer Girl and Everclear's Volvo Driving Soccer Mom.  What a strange time that was.
Can you do me a favor and not do anything with Barenaked Ladies' "One Week". Cause I wanna try my hand at that. You are however completely free to try my idea of mixing Disturbed's Stupify with some reggae/dancehall/soca track like "Who Let The Dogs Out" or something.
IT’S BEEN
 ok sure.
( ladies and gentlemen, this is the B0B Barker who, back in the day, made mashups that were an inspiration to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfkiGIHDcR8

WHERE DO YOU DO THINGS. DO YOU STILL DO THINGS. THIS IS KEATON FROM INTERNET. REMEMBER WHEN WE USED TO TALK A LOT. :) REMEMBER WEBSITES. REMEMBER. PLEASE.
I try to do things, but then I get distracted and unsure if my things are worth doing.  I'm really bad at procrastinating.  Heck I've spent several months procrastinating on writing a response to this Tumblr messgae.  Anyways, hopefully I'll get off my ass and finish something someday.
