im not even watching eurovision but "you can't boycott because that means that the reason you're boycotting is gonna win so you actually HAVE to watch and vote to try to make sure they don't win even though that means raising the ratings of the people who did the thing you want to boycott them over" sounds. jenny say kwah. kinda dumb
〝Eurovision is, according to its organisers, a 'non-political' event〞 I'm laughing. When you excluded Russia from the competition to the invasion of Ukraine, because EBU had announced it. Then, why did you let Israel to participate in Eurovision? And you also kicked out Netherlands for something that wasn't so clear.
BUT if it's about the "incident" in the interview, that's not a reason to react like that. In case you don't know, a reporter asked the female singer, who is representing Israel, if she believed her presence at the event posed a safety threat to the other contestants and before she replies, she was told by a moderator or a lawyer (I don't know exactly) she didn't have to answer the question, and the male singer, who is representing Netherlands, shouted , “Why not?”. You can hear it clearly from this video.
We all know how the situation is and what is going on out there and probably, PROBABLY, she knows it too. I don't blame only her, but I can't accept that the Eurovision isn't political after all these years.
About yesterday's final results, did you see it right? Suddenly, out of nowhere, Israel got 300+ points from the audience. ⁉️ This is more funny isn't it? The condition of Israel razed Jabalia with bombs, dozens of people are killed, fierce battle are ongoing and they have also asked citizens from Rafah to leave. The points in Eurovision withered them..🙄 Did they expect that with all these and even what still happening that the world would make them winners?
Anyway...
The next topic is about Ireland. If you don't remember it's the one with pentacle and rite. Let's go back in Eurovision 2021. Cyprus represented with the song 〝El Diablo〞 by a female singer. It was a very nice song and it ended up in 16th place. A lot of people judged it and called it 〝it's a Satan's song〞. This year, Ireland represents a gothic satanism performance. And it took the sixth place. Wow... By what criteria they vote now, I don't understand.
