I love how many faux parents I have haha. Oh goodness... I have no idea. Frankie and Cel are doing most of the heavy lifting with planning.
Aww August. Well, that means a lot to me coming from one of my faux kids lol. Speaking of being my faux kid, I got your wedding invite. Tell me how I can help.

Your dad is great! So I’m not surprised he wants to help out.
Oh my god! I can’t wait to see your dress! We are so close to getting this all done. I can’t believe we (and our parents) have been able to accomplish as much as we have so quickly.
You're my best friend, too, baby.
I've found even more. They keep popping up. I've looked at other websites, too. Maybe we need a proper realtor to help us suss through them all.

August: Uh oh. Back on the shit list haha
August: They'll be really excited for that. Apologies in advance if my dad talks your ear off about your books. He brags that he finished all three in less than a week.
Celeste: Oh please! I /was/ with you until you called yourself old lol.
Celeste: Yes! Time's gonna fly and I will most definitely be in touch with your parents so that all of us are planning and coordinating together. I'm excited to get to chat with them some more.

August: Yes! You're on my side with that! Not that it matters now that I'm old haha
August: Less than two months away! I'm so excited! My parents said that if you need any help with anything to let them know.
Celeste: See, that's just dumb to me. It seems like Feb. 28 or March 1 would be acceptable when you're a Leap Baby.
Celeste: 100%! I couldn't be happier for you 2 having this and I'm excited for you both! June is going to be here before we know it.

August: It was a pain in the ass when I turned 21 because they wouldn't let me into a bar until it was March 1. It makes sense but was still a bummer.
August: I know that and we love you for it. We are so excited for the wedding cruise! It feels very /us/ and also is a great way to everything in one location.
Celeste: Good! And you are one of the rare few Leap Babies out there so it's fun getting to celebrate you and playing into that as well.
Celeste: You know we'll do all we can for you 2. And we're really looking forward to celebrating with you both and your love for each other. A wedding cruise is such a fabulous idea for you and Frankie!

I'm sure whatever class you find for him, he'll have so much fun! It's good for socializing, too. He can talk to his baby sister right now, but she can't talk back yet.
Haha, I like that. And yeah, Luna and I have talked about it a little but I think we're gonna need to put the talk into action. See if there's some Alvin Ailey for tots. Or less serious than that.

August: I loved it! Every minute! It was the exact party I wished I had as a kid, so it was ridiculously fun that they leaned into the fact that I'm a Leap Year baby.
August: Me, too! That's good to know. You and Thomas have already been so helpful with everything. I really hope so. The best part will be the fact that we're surrounded by all of our family and friends this time around.
Celeste: I'm so glad you had a good time! And that you loved the surprise party! Frankie def gets all the credit and kudos for that😊
Celeste: I'm just excited that it's happening! Don't worry, this is actually great timing. Funny enough I've been in a little writer's block slump so having something else important to focus on will be fantastic. You 2 are going to have a beautiful second wedding!

As someone who has seen both good and bad parents in action, you're 100% in the good category.
I thought it was a pretty great theme! The kids really loved it and the adults looked amazing too! Aw, August thank you. I've always wanted to be one so it's nice knowing I'm doing a good job at least lol

Have you considered putting him into a dance class? Down with gender norms of dance being for girls! Plus, it'll get some toddler energy out.
Haha, thanks August. I'm glad Cannon's so into it all with how much he loves to dance.

I might be but you're my best friend and exactly who I needed to be around during this clusterfuck.
Oh gosh, same! I think I've linked you to so many zillow listings and I got all of yours. We can look at them this week and start weeding them out!

August: My birthday was amazing! I can’t believe Frankie pulled off a surprise party for me 🥺
August: Did we spring the second wedding on you too quickly? Will the summer be enough time? I will offer as much help as I can give, but I’m not good at the party stuff.
Celeste: I'm glad you're happy, and that's the best part of all of this rn. Hey, how was your bday??

Baby, Just Say "Yes" [Again] Who: August & Frankie (@frankieking) What: Auggie keeps their promise to re-propose on their anniversary with Frankie. When: February 13, 2024 A/N: Much cute. Very sweet. Wow.
AUGUST:
It had been 365 days since August and Frankie got married in Vegas. While they knew it wasn't the kindest thing to do to their families, August still had no regrets about marrying Frankie. They also fully intended to keep their promise to propose again - properly this time - and remarry Frankie properly. Nothing would make them happier than giving Frankie the ceremony and reception they deserved. Especially given everything they went through over their first year of marriage. It had been a tough first year. Not because they fought. Not because August realized they had done something crazy when they got married. But because of Donovan coming back into Frankie's life. So much spiraled out of control after it happened. The one constant was their love for each other. August was certain they loved Frankie more with each passing day. So they made sure they had a ring to re-propose to Frankie with and planned a nice night for them.
August made reservations at Top of the Mark, knowing they wanted it to be special. They were guaranteed a perfect view of the city and a special dessert at the end of their meal. They dressed up and had the customized ring box in their pocket with the new ring inside. While August and Frankie were already married, August was still nervous about the evening and wiped their hands on their slacks when they got out of the car and got the door for Frankie. "I know I told you a million times before we left home, but you look incredible."
FRANKIE:
A year felt like a thousand and in the best of ways. Frankie remembered all the times their grandfather would remind them how much he loved their nonna and how he'd spend every moment while away in college thinking about her. It always felt like no time had passed when they were together again and an eternity felt just right for how long they wanted to be with one another. Their love was special, unlike anything Frankie had seen before and to be raised in that and then to see the love their father had for Celeste, just magnified the importance of someday finding something as perfect. The expectation was in the clouds but the bar was low when they had left the island. Frankie had started to believe that perhaps none of that was in the stars fo her. Even when it was assumed they had plenty of time because of their age, Frankie still yearned for the things everyone around them was enjoying. Never in a million years did they think they'd find their person right under their nose. There's some comedy and irony in the fact that August was there all along and they didn't need to go miles and miles away to find the person of their dreams. It was something that Frankie often thought about. Even in the craziness that surrounded her sometimes and in the midst of the chaos on the island, the hustle and bustle of their life, someone like August could come into their life and in a whirlwind, sweep them off their feet. A year felt like a thousand.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Frankie took August's hand to climb out and looked down at their outfit with a small laugh. "I didn't have much to go on so I went with my gut on this one. " Frankie knew August was romantic and that whatever they chose would be special. Their Valentine's Day slash one-year anniversary fusion week would be just as special. They looked up at the known restaurant and smiled followed by a soft squeal. "I have always wanted to come here!!"
AUGUST:
August pecked their wife and squeezed their hand as they walked into the Mark Hopkins Hotel. "I know! You've mentioned it every time we've been in this area," August chuckled. When they walked in, they told the concierge they had a reservation at the Top of the Mark and were let up to the top floor. "Oh, I can already smell the delicious food from here," they smiled. "I just wanted to treat you to something special for our anniversary and Valentine's Day. You deserve nothing but the best, Frankie," they grinned. The table they were escorted to was against the window and gave an incredible view of the skyline at night. "Not bad, eh?" they chuckled and got Frankie's chair for them, wanting to go all out with the chivalry.
FRANKIE:
"You're adorable." Frankie beamed, walking in with August and taking in their surroundings. It was fairly packed as expected but they loved the ambience. It was nice seeing so many people in love, enjoying their meals together. Frankie gave Auggie's hand a gentle squeeze, their smile growing as they were escorted to their table. "It really does smell amazing. I'll have what their having, am I right?" They smirked and removed their pink trench, smiling as the concierge offered coat check. "Oh, yes please." Frankie took a seat when August pulled their chair, their eyes fixed on their spouse. "Mmm hmm the view is great." And then they looked out the window. "This view is good too, " before sitting down with a flirtatious smirk donning their face.
AUGUST:
August laughed a little at Frankie's blatant flirting and gave their coat to the concierge as well. "Coat check. Fancy," They grinned. "Hm, yes. The city is beautiful, but I have the most gorgeous sight right across the table from me. I'm the luckiest person in the world." They had already looked at the menu ahead of time and knew there were spirit-free cocktails being offered. It was one of their favorite things about more modern menus. As more people were embracing sober living, even without being in recovery, restaurants and bars were adding the fancier drinks to the menu. "What sounds good to you?" they asked, looking over the drinks and then appetizers.
FRANKIE:
"It's so cold in SF, it's crazy." They laughed. "We're so bougie, babe." Frankie smiled at their spouse. "Stoppp, I'm gonna melt." They laughed again and viewed the menu, glad that August was always so thoughtful about what they were able to drink. "I think the limonata sounds yummm. What about you?" Frankie looked over the appetizers, their mouth watering already. "Definitely the tacos, definitely the tartare..."
AUGUST:
"I know! I've been freezing my ass off," they chuckled. "Hm... we absolutely are. It helps when I've started to get influencer money... like what!?" they laughed. "Don't melt in that absolutely stunning dress. My god, you look hot," they smiled. "I was also thinking the limonata. And both of those appetizers sound really delicious. I say we get both of those. I'm also not above getting the potato chips, flatbread, or pretzels. We can go all out."
FRANKIE:
Frankie laughed imagining their poor spouse freezing their ass. "My poor Auggie. Hope it warms up soon." They smirked, still looking at the menu. They looked up at August, their smirk widening. "Who are you, even? Content creator ova here!" Frankie was so proud of August. They'd come so far in the last year and they're doing what they like. Frankie felt their cheeks turn warm at the compliments and then shook their head. "Keep that up, babe and we'll be out of here in no time." They brushed their leg againt August's under the table and smiled. "I say we get one of everything and have a food baby."
AUGUST:
“I hope so, too,” August agreed. “All thanks to your help! I genuinely couldn’t have made it all happen without you,” they said and took Frankie’s hand and kissed the back of it. “Ha! That is always my goal. Getting you home with me,” they winked. It was rare for them to spend nights apart. It really only happened when they were traveling alone. “You joke, but I would absolutely be fine with one of everything. We may need a bigger table,” they laughed.
FRANKIE:
"No babe! You're the talent. You just let the world see how amazing you are." Frankie smiled at the kiss and then chuckled at August's words. "Well, you definitely will not have a problem with that." They opened their napkin with their free hand and then gingerly placed it on their lap. When the waiter approached, Frankie greeted them, ordered their drink, and then August ordered theirs. "We'll uh..." They chuckled goofily as if Frankie and August were the only ones in on the joke. "We'll have one of every appetizer. Three at a time and then keep 'em coming." Frankie signed for "turns" and smirked when the waiter left. "He thinks we're crazy."
AUGUST:
August shook their head a little. "You encourage me and inspire me to be better and learn about analytics and stuff that didn't matter to me before. You're the genius behind my page," they praised. "What my gorgeous wife said," August grinned. "Maybe! But it'll be delicious. I'm really excited for this. And I have a surprise for you after dinner."
FRANKIE:
"Well, you do the same for me. You've lifted me up this year with everything that's happened and it keeps me going. When I've been down, you helped me get through the sadness. You are truly my person, Auggie and of course, I'll continue encouraging and inspiring you to achieve great things because not only do you deserve them but you are so good at it all." they rubbed their thumb over August's knuckles. "Another surprise? I'm just getting spoiled today, huh? I have your gift at home. I can't wait to show you!"
AUGUST:
“I’m glad I’ve been able to help you through everything. All the bullshit with your bio family. It sucks that we even had to deal with that to begin with.” They just wish none of it happened. They wish Donovan stayed in his lane and butted out of their lives forever. “People say the first year of marriage is the hardest. If it gets easier from here, our marriage will be a breeze,” August grinned. “Oh, yes! I can’t just let dinner and flowers be your gift. I’m excited to see what you got me. You’re an incredible gift-giver.”
FRANKIE:
"It does suck. I know I have Thomas and Celeste and they're my family but it would have been nice to put the pieces together about mom. I was hoping for that the most." Frankie kept their eyes on August, a soft smile on their face, Auggie's hand in theirs. "I think you're right. Though, it honestly feels like we've been together so much longer. Do you ever feel that way? " The excitement was getting the best of them. "I think we're both great gift givers, to be honest. This was already enough, babe." Frankie looked up when their drinks came and thanked their waiter. "To a year and many more?"
AUGUST:
“I know you were, babe,” August frowned a little. It didn’t help that Donovan thought Celeste was Frankie’s biological mother. He seemed to be completely clueless and clearly didn’t pay enough attention to Frankie’s mom when they were together. “It simultaneously feels like we have been together forever and only for a few months. In the best way. It never feels stale,” they smiled. “It’s not enough to me!” August raised their glass and grinned. “To many, many more!” They took a sip and hummed. “Oh, this is delicious!”
FRANKIE:
Frankie would someday (hopefully) get over this betrayal. It wouldn't hurt much if not for what could have been. They had not grown any attachment to Donovan and that helped. "Yes! Exactly! I love that about us." Frankie giggled at August's words and raised their glass before taking a sip. "Oh yeah! That's fancy!" Frankie smiled widely, excited to see their food arrive. The waiter warned them of the big portions and Frankie let them know that they had an appetite and not to worry although Frankie knew that August knew that was just their stomach talking and they'd fill up in no time. "Okay! Where do we begin?!"
AUGUST:
"I love it, too," August smiled. "Oh my god... this all looks great," they said, looking at the three plates that were brought out first. There was a charcuterie board, hummus with naan, and tuna tartare first. "It all looks amazing, but I just need to try this hummus while the naan is still hot," they grinned. "Oh... yum... you can really taste the garlic in here."
FRANKIE:
“Let me try!” Frankie pulled a piece of naan from the bigger piece and dipped it into the hummus before taking a taste. “Oh my God that’s heaven!” They placed their hand right under their chin in case something fell. “We have to make this at home.” Frankie smiled at their spouse. “Gosh, that sounded so domestic!” Frankie laughed before gathering done tuna tartare into their appetizer dish. “Mmm. I saw a few homes on Zillow. I bookmarked them to show you later. What do your parents think of us buying?”
AUGUST:
August chuckled and nodded. “We should! I kind of love how domestic we are sometimes, don’t you?” They grinned and tried the tuna tartare. “Hm, that’s interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever had tuna like that. I’ve had tuna rolls at sushi restaurants, but not like this.” It wasn’t their favorite. “Oh! I would love to see them! My parents love that we are putting down official roots that are fairly close to them. They were mostly concerned over whether we could afford it. I assured them that we have sufficient money for a down payment, and mortgage costs.”
FRANKIE:
“Oh I do! It’s just funny to me because well, before you, I didn’t think this was possible.” Frankie smiled at August and nodded. “It’s an acquired taste. With like sesame seed crackers it’s chef’s kiss. Is it. A good interesting or a maybe I’ll stick to the hummus interesting ?” Frankie listened to August. “Yay!! I’ll show you. And that’s completely understandable. I hope they feel reassured though. I know how much they worry.”
AUGUST:
"You're incredible and deserve all good things in the world. Like a doting husband who will be all domestic with you," August smiled. "I think it's not a taste I've acquired, but this charcuterie board... this is my jam. Literally. There is fig jam here," they laughed and put some of the jam on a cracker along with some soft cheese.
FRANKIE:
Frankie giggled at Auggie's joke. They loved how funny they were. "Stahhppp. I'm already married to you!" Frankie smiled back and reached for a cracker as well. "okay, fig jam sounds incredible, let's gooo." Frankie spread some onto their cracker. "Do they have desserts here too? I forgot to look..."
AUGUST:
“I will never stop. I will make dad jokes until the end of time. Or until you leave me. Whichever comes first,” August teased. They knew Frankie was also in this for the long haul. “It’s so tasty!” They grinned. “Oh, yes. They do. That is part of the surprise, so you don’t need to look at the menu. I already figured out which one you would like.”
FRANKIE:
"Your dad jokes are the best. You've got the actual dads beat, me thinks. Don't tell anyone I said that though." Frankie chuckled at August's words. "Which will like never happen. Never leaving. Nope. But you'll have a whole joke arsenal by the time you are a dad, eh?" Frankie winked at August. They never talked about being parents per se but they knew they were taking their time to enjoy each other and the world for now. "Oh? The surprise!"They rubbed their hands together. "I'm so excited!"
AUGUST:
"I'm definitely telling your dad," August teased. "But I'm very glad you're never leaving. I would cry forever if you did." They chuckled a little when Frankie joked about them being a dad. It was something vaguely on the table. They were still so young they didn't need to think about biological clocks or anything. And there were plenty of young kids in their lives that they didn't feel the need to have a baby of their own. "It's part of your surprise. But there's a bigger one!" The other rounds of appetizers came out, and they did decide to box some up before August asked for their dessert. The waiter was aware of the special dessert they requested when they made the reservation. A chocolate lava cake with the words "happy anniversary" written on the plate with chocolate syrup.
FRANKIE:
She lifted her fork and then pointed it at August in jest. "Don't you dare!" Frankie chuckled and then stuck their tongue out at them before flashing them a wink. "Oh no, can't have that. I have a confession to make, when you cry, I cry." Frankie giggled softly. "I don't know why. It's like Kryptonite." Frankie finished up what they could and was glad for the take-out boxes, joking with the waiter about how he had warned them. "I know, I know! shhh" They smirked as they gathered food into the containers. "But there is always room for dessert so there's that." When the dessert came out, Frankie smiled brightly and even brighter when they took a good look at the writing. "Aw, man!" Frankie teared up a bit and looked up at the waiter, whispering "Thank you", before reaching across the table for August's hand. "Happy anniversary you big, beautiful, amazing incomparable dork."
AUGUST:
August smiled widely at Frankie's reaction to the dessert and they squeezed their hand tightly. "Happy anniversary, babe. You know... it's not just the anniversary of when we got married. It's the anniversary of when we agreed to discuss getting married again for real, not just eloping," they said. "The past year has been hard on both of us, but there is nobody in the world I would rather go through hard times with. Though admittedly, I do hope things get easier from here. You're the love of my life and the person I want to continue living the rest of my days with. This time... I did the right thing. I asked your mom and dad if I could marry you, and they said yes. Yes, as long as they can be there. So Frankie Atwood-King," August said, and got down on one knee. "Will you marry me, again?" They opened the same customized ring box they had made for the first proper ring they bought for Frankie. Inside wasn't another engagement ring, but a band with diamonds along it.
FRANKIE:
Frankie listened to August with a giant smile. They remembered August telling them they'd get married for real and had recently spoken to their dad and then August about it since Thomas seemed so excited about throwing them a nice wedding. It made a lot of sense to have a ceremony and reception now after the year they had together. Hearing that August had spoken to their parents about marrying them, Frankie beamed even more. This was an actual proposal! Frankie turned in their seat, not minding any of the onlookers who now had their phones out. Frankie loved the beautiful ring in the box. It matched their engagement perfectly and more than anything, Frankie loved August. "Of course I will marry you, again. And again." Frankie pulled their engagement ring off their finger to let the band go first. When the engagement ring went on top, Frankie pulled their partner towards them adnd wrapped their arms tightly around their neck. "I love you so much, August. This is so beautiful."
AUGUST:
August smiled and clumsily put the band on Frankie’s finger, not paying any mind to the strangers who were watching them. “I love you,” they smiled widely and hugged Frankie before he kissed them hard. “I love you so damn much. Forever,” they muttered. A few people in the restaurant started clapping, and they just chuckled a bit as they sat back down. “You get the first bite, babe.”
FRANKIE:
"I love you more." Frankie would say it over and over again. They would always thank their lucky stars for finding August. They completed Frankie and they were both meant for one another. Frankie cupped August's face, crashing their lips against the other's nose smushing against each other as happy tears continued falling. The others guests clapped for them and the waiter did too before Frankie stuck their fork into the cake. They took a quick bite and then turned the fork on Aug. "Oh my God that is amazing." They giggled and waited for August to give their approval. "oh my God, I can't wait to plan, babe!! I have so many ideas already! Do you have any ideas? AHH!!"
AUGUST:
"That's impossible," August grinned. They knew they both loved each other equally, and they felt incredibly lucky to have Frankie. They would never let them go. August kissed Frankie back and wiped the tears from their cheek. "I love you," they muttered once more before they turned to the cake on the plate between them. "Oh?" They took the bite from Frankie's fork and hummed. "God, that is good. We will plan the real wedding of your dreams. I have no ideas other than wanting to see you coming down the aisle toward me. I can't wait to marry you again, baby. Your parents will be excited to know we're getting married again."
FRANKIE:
Frankie smiled at August's reaction to trying the cake. Once everyone seemed to return to what they were doing and everything was a bit settled, Frankie nodded and smiled even wider. "Oh, our parents are going to be so happy. Dad has been itching to have us have one and Celeste will be over the moon." They were so happy at that moment, taking in how they were feeling and how August looked. Frankie wanted to commit it all to memory. "I was thinking a travel theme! When do you want to do this? May? June?" Frankie was grinning from ear to ear. They were going to get to planning as soon as they got home.
AUGUST:
August nodded and smiled. “They were so furious with us, more so me, when we first got married. So this will sort of make up for it. I love the idea of a travel themed wedding!” They beamed. August loved that Frankie was more adventurous since they got together. “We should probably do it this summer. Give everyone more time to get here and also give us as much time as possible to put it all together. The venue will be the hardest part to get on short notice.”
FRANKIE:
"I know." Frankie frowned slightly. "And I get it. I really want her to be there for me and do all the mom/daughter wedding things. This is great for everyone." Frankie nodded with the biggest smile. "Yes! I'll make another Pinterest board." She chuckled. "We can do June then. Gives us time and it won't be too hot just yet. The venue should be the first on the list then!" Frankie took another bite of their dessert. "And I really love this ring. I love everything about this. Thank you for always being such a romantic and the best partner."
AUGUST:
"You'll get to do all of that with her! And your dad mentioned that he wants to walk you down the aisle. Thomas is such a dad. It's sweet," August grinned. "Sounds good! I'll help you with whatever decisions you need help with, but I'm not the aesthetic person. But I am definitely the cake sampling person. Yum," they grinned and ate another bite of the dessert. They let Frankie eat most of it. "I'm so happy you like it. I just wanted to do this the right way. You deserve romance, Franks."
FRANKIE:
"Yes! Thomas will love that! That's definitely the biggest thing for him." Frankie smiled softly thinking about their dad. "He is so sweet and honestly, one of the best people ever." Frankie chuckled at August's words. "Got it. Cake testing. it's a hard job after all." Frankie was filled with so much love. There were no words to truly describe how happy this all made them. They couldn't wait to tell Jade and Emma. After they finished the rest of the dessert, they were presented with to-go boxes for the rest of the food and another cake on the house for them to celebrate at home. "Thank you so much." Frankie glanced at August with excitement. "They're so nice!"
AUGUST:
"We're lucky to have good people in our lives, especially with the bad ones who have barged their way into them," August said. "Hm, the most difficult job," they chuckled. August felt so happy and full of love for their wife. It truly felt like they were on cloud nine. Even though the two of them had been married for a year, the love, passion, and excitement was still there. "That was very nice!" August paid for their meal and left a sizeable tip for the waiter before they headed home. Between the second wedding and moving into a new house, they had an exciting year ahead with Frankie.

THE TASTE! You're raising your kids right for sure!
He likes dancing to music on the shows he watches, just as much as he'll dance to Latin tunes, Motown, funk and pop music. We've jammed to J Balvin, Shakira, Selena and Gloria Estefan, about as much as The Temptations, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder and Parliament. I've been playing some more Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5 lately. Luna and I appreciate that though haha.

August: They've definitely been shitty lately, but we are happy. I promise. I know I'm feeling better about this whole thing all the time now that Donovan is out of our lives.
Celeste: You're very welcome. ❤️ I know things haven't been smooth sailing lately and I'd just like to see you both happy, and in a home that you both love.
