Lucifer “V” The fifth album is a solid metal album, shades of glam metal, classic metal, and gothic rock intertwine into an absolutely awesome sound. A highly recommended listen. (January 2024, Nuclear Blast)

Glitch Black “Hypercube” Starts off like you’re in the middle of a chase scene and just keeps going from there. Still very synth dominated, but closer to an early 90s sound, traces of techno sneaking in. Good for some high energy listening needs. (2017, self released)

Chatham County Line “Hiyo” Their latest album has a lot less bluegrass and a lot more of a western country sound to it. A kind of slow, mellow, drawl to the songs. A really solid sounding work. (January 2024, Yep Roc Records)

Sleater-Kinney “Little Rope” A solid rock album with a bit of mid-90s edge to it. Not quite the full on riot-grrrl but it isn’t slacking either. It’s a very stripped down sound, still rolling as just a two piece band. (January 2024, Loma Vista)

Rise Against “Nowhere Generation” you want to say it’s just another punk album. It os, and it isn’t. Got the speed, the heavy social commentary, and the little more tying it all together. It is just another great punk rock album. (June 2021, Loma Vista)

The Rough Guide To Big Bill Broonzy - a giant in the Chicago blues scene, bridging to old and the new. His still shifted a lot over his career, this guide focusing on his early years, predominantly Country Blues. It’s an excellent collection. (December 2023, World Music Network)

Alien Vampires “Return Me To Hell” Their latest album is a foundation of solid industrial beats. Overlayed with, across the 2CD release, glitch, EBM, their classic power noise sound, electro, and synths. It is a harsh album whose entirety could power a goth night. (September 2023, Alfa Matrix)

Shame “Songs Of Praise” A reissue on gold vinyl - sometimes you just need a good rock album out on and listen or dance to. So you get one, like this. Really solid no frills release, absolutely worth checking out. (2018, Dead Oceans)

Exit Eden “Femme Fatales” The second album is a mix of covers & original tracks in a glorious mix of symphonic and classic metal styles. Big and loud and crunchy. One of those albums that demands you break out your air guitar and crank it to 11. (January 2024, Napalm Records)
