After seeing that video that ateez did with the Ellen show, it made me think a little bit. They’re gonna get huge in America. Them being signed with RCA is gonna get them tons of promotion in the US. I can see it now: them performing and being interviewed on talk shows, playing flinch with James Corden, doing the puppy interview with buzzfeed, and so much more. They’ve gone from a dance crew under a small entertainment company to a monster rookie group who’s already got a record deal with a major American record label. They’re not our little secret anymore, and I couldn’t be more proud.

The Chance of Love

Chapter 1

Genre: Angst/Fluff

Warnings: None?

A/N: I am hella nervous on this one and I don’t know anymore. I hope you people like it though. Apologies for any typos or errors.

Also, I would like to thank @vvshere, @darkteez, and @desiredateez for being so supportive and encouraging of this mess gfdghfh 🙈

You stood under the rain as your gaze darted on to your 'loyal' boyfriend, Mingi, who was busy kissing a girl in the cafe infront of you.Your tears, mixed with the rain as you prayed for the water to wash away your heartache.

Mingi's eyes landed on your drenched figure standing still infront of the large window of the cafe he was currently seated at. However, all he did was further deepen the kiss, realizing the poignancy that must erupt within you.

You heaved a shaky sigh as you felt your heart being shattered into several pieces, you maintained eye contact with him but his cold gaze made you realize you meant nothing to him.

Summoning all the energy with in, you decided to walk away. Not long into your trudge, you received a message.

I have made myself clear, hope you know we are over.

You kept trudging down the pedestrian path, an uncanny concoction of hurt, betrayal, and loneliness stirring within your mind. Not only did your heart get broken but your trust had been shattered too. You felt used, belittled, and worthless. Tears cascaded down your eyes, body drenched in water, even though fatigue was taking over your system, none of it mattered as all you could feel was the heart ache.

Whatever happened few moments ago caused you to contemplate your self worth, esteem, and confidence. Mingi's one relentless move shook you from the core. The trust that had taken you years to build, the self worth that had levitated over time, the love that had blossomed all this while, everything had gone down the drain.The pain had become so unbearable that your brain could not process how to cope with the situation you were put into.

You had no idea where you were heading, you looked like a lost soul wandering on the streets, and you probably felt the same way. The streets were not crowded due to the heavy rains but there were a few pedestrians walking past shielded with umbrellas or water proof attires. To them you mayhaps looked as heartbroken as you really were. The hustle and bustle of the roads still chimed as several vehicles chauffeured their way down the wet streets, until a vehicle parked near you. Yet you paid no heed, not like they had stopped for you. Continuing your journey to the unknown, you dragged your feet ahead.

Maybe your mind was at chaos, maybe your body was screaming exhaustion to an extent that you were hallucinating but a part of you could swear you heard someone call your name, not once but twice. You contemplated over giving the situation a benefit of doubt and turning around to check but decided otherwise as neither were you ready nor interested to face anyone at this moment.

Sounds of foot steps approaching you rang through your ears but you kept your gaze locked into nothingness.

Until, you felt no more water drip down your already soaked self. Confused, you groggily look up to see a shield of umbrella, barricading you from the cold liquid. Debilitatingly, you furrowed your brows when someone firmly held on to your shoulder, your eyes widened at the plausible threat until the familiarity of touch clicked in.

"You'll catch cold." the voice brushed dangerously close to your ears, laced with love and concern.

You could feel a fresh ache erupting within you already dilapidated heart.

"San.." your voice sounded more hoarse than expected as the two of you stood still in that moment.

Your body felt extremely frail under San's touch. He had no idea what was going on with you but he could figure it was not something good. At that moment all he felt was the need to hold you close.Wrapping his arms around your collarbone, he pulled you towards him. Your cold and drenched back hitting his warm and dry chest, now wetting him slowly. However, he did not care one bit about the cold hitting him, all he cared about was warming you up.

A part of you wanted to cave in and bowl your eyes out but another part of you was scared of another betrayal. Your recently broken trust was a reminder that leaning on to anyone can lead to same consequences.

"Let's go ho-" before he could speak you flung his hand off you, baffling the man.

"Leave me San. I don't want anyone around me right now." Your bitter tone shot a pang onto his heart. He did not know why you were being like this but his worry was just augmenting with every passing second.

"What-" before he could speak any further, you dashed from there. You could hear him call you but that was not enough for you to stop.

San did not mind giving you space and being by yourself but be did mind you being by yourself at this odd hour of the day with heavy rains pouring down mercilessly. Your health and safety was what mattered which is why he decided to follow you. Just like you, he was clueless of where you were possibly heading but he knew he had to take you home.

He ran back to his car before starting the engine and driving towards where you were headed. He was being extra cautious of not causing any ruckus on the road but his one eye was on you. He looked down the road but there was no particular destination to be at. He honked a couple of times to grab your attention but you paid no heed. That's when he decided to put his foot down. The next turn was not far, skidding his car a little faster he stopped right in front of you.

"San." You gasped, startled.

Instantly getting off the car, he held your hand and seated you on the passenger's seat, ignoring all your protests.

You furrowed your brows in vexation as San seated himself on the driver's seat.

"Be as angry as you want but I am not leaving you alone out there." His tone was stern and held gravity.

"Why do you care so much Choi San?" You spat.

The bitterness in your tone yet again managed to baffle him as he cocked a brow but kept his eyes on the road.

"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today."

"Shut up." Your tone was sombre as you just huffed and turned your head towards the window. Trying to muffle your sobs.

San sighed before placing one of his hands on your cold one's trying to comfort you but you just pulled yours away. Biting his bottom lip, he took his hand back on the steering wheel leaving the remaining drive filled with tensed silence.
