The implications of Fig still being Wanda Childa for the entirety of episode are especially wild for Ruben:

Wanda Childa "died" just outside Ruben's house

She showed up to Fabian's birthday, the guy who's actually a fan of Ruben

She ran the party with Fabian and it was wildly successful

She got on an emo version of a daymare, a creature Buddy would remember from the Last Stand as being Fig's steed

She started playing a Fig and the Cig Figs song at Fabian's party, with Gorgug, as part of the music video for the said song

Said music video involved fighting Oisin's family members and she almost died again because of one of the dragons smacking her out of the sky

Then her daymare catches her and she flies back up to the party and flashes everyone. The students of Aguefort got to see that and Ruben didn't. He's stuck with whatever Porter and Jace are making him do at the time

I really like how they had that one bit in fhsy where Gorgug was "Skipper" while the van was a boat, and then Zac WAS Skipper in aso as the crew's pilot, and now Gorgug is quite literally the pilot of a flying ship. It's all coming together under Airitime Law.

Ok i saw 2 separate posts comparing this battle to a starstruck odyssey and given that’s my fav season here’s all the similarities I noticed (a surprising amount)

Fhjy Ep 18 spoilers ahead ~

- First off flying ship obviously (the shields and ram attacks really sell it)

- Telepathic bond was giving gunner channel

- Zac as the captain, also very obvious but funny given Gorgug was the only BK who could survive that much damage

- Riz on the cannon was absolutely Barry 6 energy, he didn’t even do anything smart this fight just load cannon and shoot

- Fig and her daymare flying is so Sydney and Aurora (especially with the nat 20 to catch her)

- The vultures with GoPros is literally Handy Andi who recorded their fights too

- Fabian trying to get votes throws me back to gunnie and his math for space travel

- Kristen going to help on deck and getting fucked up cause she has no dex or resistance is very Margaret energy

- Adaine casted the telepathic bond and her portiant rolls do remind me of ‘watch out’ though she’s more of a fighter then Riva our comms officer

- Needing to keep all the students calm is like the JibJobers (no idea how to spell that) joining the comms during fights

Let me know if I missed anything from this fight, but to be fair this whole season has had a lot of similarities to starstruck, with the money issues especially but also Zac’s mindless rage moment ect.
