MERCURY

ruled by: gemini, virgo colour: blue identity: genderfluid natal cycle: 280-365 days (approx.)

what is it? the planet in our solar system that is closest to the sun. in roman mythology, mercury was the equivalent to hermes (greek mythology) the messenger god. mercury/hermes is responsible for sending messages from god-to-god, therefore having a very important role.

how does it work? each sign has 30° in our charts (meaning the natal wheel is split into 12 sections). mercury will travel into the next sign every 14-30 days, depending on its motion.

what does it represent? mercury represents our communication and our handwriting. sometimes the way we write is influenced too. when looking at posts on tumblr, you should check your mercury on posts like “how the signs talk about…” or “the signs handwriting”.

MARS

what is it? a planet in our solar system. mars/ares were both gods of war, and as a minor- passion. mars/ares were both selfish and ‘fiery’, with a hot temper. mar is one of the major parts of our chart.

how does it work? each sign has 30° in our charts (meaning the natal wheel is split into 12 sections). mars will travel into the next sign every 2 months (approx.), depending on its motion.

what does it represent? mars represents our anger, passion, and sexual tendencies. when peering into your sex life through our mars sign, we must compare it with our venus. having mars as a dominant planet can lead to a hot temper, and a very motivated and passion person. when looking as posts, use mars for anything to do with sex and anger.

LILITH

ruled by: libra position: bottom identity: feminine natal cycle: 8 years and 10 months

what is it? lilith is one aspect of the great goddess. in ancient babylon, she was worshipped as lilitu or ischtar. in some mythologu she is an evil demon of the night, lying in wait for men, and killing children. but in astrology, it is simply the black/dark moon.

how does it work? the black moon has also been defined as the apogee of the moon’s orbit, or that point in the orbit farthest from earth. Both these points, the apogee and the second focal point, lie on the long axis of the orbital ellipse, the line of apsides. the second focal point lies at a distance only about 34,830 km from the earth, the apogee at about 397,000 km. apart from this, both definitions can be regarded as being equivalent. because the orbit of the moon continually shifts forward in space, the dark moon moves along the zodiac at about 40° per year. a complete cycle takes about 8 years and 10 months.

what does it represent? lilith represents or dark side, lust, and our sins. it also represents our vulnerable side.

CHIRON

identity: masculine known as: the planet of healing

what is it? an asteroid located between saturn and uranus. though is is called an asteroid and the ‘planet of healing’, it is in fact a comet nucleus.

what does it represent? chiron is our life lessons, and deals with aspects of illness and how they’ll affect our spiritual journey. he represents those who learn through their suffering.
