I think it's pretty amazing that in the end, Will Herondale, the boy who loved nothing more than a good story, literally haunts the entire TSC narrative as The Story. He's everyone's favorite story, whether it's Tessa and Jem who love him or Shadowhunter society looking back on their heroes. Will literally loved stories so much he became one.

I'm sorry for the following TWP theory.

I'm in a morbid and weird state of mind rn.

I think tsc will end the way it started (chronologically), with Tessa. I have no basis for this except for a feeling. In Clockwork Princess, after Tessa almost dies after Changing into Ithuriel the Silent Brothers say that if she ever turns into an angel again she will not survive. Would that not be the most amazing foreshadowing, years and years in advance?!?!?!?!

I can't remember exactly, but didn't CC say that what they're facing in TWP is the biggest bad yet? So the shadowhunters might need an angel's help but they've used up all of their free favours...

Even though it would be sad, I think at this stage a definite ending would be best for the series and something like this would tie it up really nicely. I love the shadowhunter chronicles with all of my heart but I hope that the last TWP book is the last one because a) I can't take anymore pain and b) my greatest fear is it being ruined by being dragged on forever.

I also think it would be fitting if after all the shadowhunters we know and love are gone, it's Magnus left at the end of the world, the way he always knew it would be.

TL;DR I want Tessa to die at the end of TWP bc of poetic justice and a love of bittersweet endings
