The clownfish froze, considered her options, then spoke, feeling that if she may die either way, she may as well attempt to change the outcome.

"I apologize for the assumption, your highness, I had merely thought that you had me brought here for religious reasons due to me being the current high priestess' descendant, soon to take her place."

Her fins flattened against her head as she weighed her options on things that could get her out of being eaten.

"A viable meal? Surely your drones were mistaken, Your Highness, I am rather small for a purpleblood, my tail is quite spiny, coated in toxins borrowed from my lusus, and my upper body is filled with wires to connect my prosthetic to my nervous system. Surely I would cause some sort of pain or stomach upset, not a worthwhile meal in the slightest. N-not to mention, I'm much more useful alive surely you could find another use for me!"

She fidgets with one of her bangles as she speaks, curling her tail 'round one of her legs in an unconscious attempt to look as small as possible.

Starri was quite perturbed by the sudden kidnapping from the river by her hive, and even more upset with the rough treatment and then sudden abandonment by the drones, not even being left in the correct room by them.

She storms about, trying to find her way to wherever she's supposed to be her tail swishing angrily (tail not pictured, old art, sorry), and she is fully prepared to have an attitude. That is however, until she stomps into the throne room, the anger falling from her face and being replaced with an attempt at a stoic mask to hide her fear. "Oh fuck...."

She attempts to straighten herself out, and bows respectfully

"Your highness, I pray you sent the drones for me due to a medical or religious matter, and not due to any... Misunderstandings..."
