Jason and Dick look so much alike during their Robin days that they get confused who was the Robin in certain photos, they literally can't tell each other apart and the fact they have been fighting almost the same lineup of rogues is even more confusing, so their experiences end up mixed up, a lot.
Jason: No, that was me, did ya' read my reports and is confusing them with the real thing ?
Dick: I'm one hundred percent sure that was me, maybe you're the one who is misremembering, you used to read my reports all the time !
Jason: So you're just gonna act like I'm fucking lying, I have 4k memory of that day, that was literally me get outta here with ur Pinocchio looking ass
Dick: You're the one remembering things wrong, I got seventeen years of career I know that was me!
The whole time, the Riddler was running low on funds and used the same strategy twice, hoping nobody would notice, Tim knows the truth – he has read both reports–, but he thinks it's funny to see them argue.
Headcanon where after so many arguments between the batkids and Bruce over his paranoia and complete disregard for his kids privacy, the entire family had compromised with (in the healthiest way possible) downloading life360 on their phones and that's how they all keep track of each other.
Now Bruce knew that this is mostly for his benefit and is supposed to be a healthy alternative for his unhealthy paranoia and helicopter parenting, but what he wasn't expecting was for his kids to start keeping track of him.
He's putting gas in his car and Dick calls him because apparently Dick has been watching him drive around on the app? And Bruce is currently at a gas station thats right around the corner from a Taco Bell and now Dick wants him to get food for everyone since he's already there.
He's driving home from a meeting and Steph calls him because her and Duke were shopping in the area and wants to know if he can pick them up, when he asks how she knew he was on the same street, he gets a "Oh I just like to stalk everyone on the app for funsies." as an answer.
Jason calls him and he can barely get out a hello before Jason cuts him off, "Bruce why the fuck is your phone battery on 5%, charge your damn phone" which completely stuns him because why does he know that. He clears his throat before answering. "Jason, what?"
"Everyone can see each others phone batteries on '360, now charge your phone." Is all he gets before Jason hangs up on him.
I call upon the fan fic writing gods to bless you with the perseverance to finish one of your unfinished drafts.
May your fingers dance along the letters upon your device with ease, may the devil of distraction stay far from you, and may your work not need much editing.
I pass this blessing upon every fan fic writer out there.
I miss the pre-New 52 Tim and Jason dynamic so much. It was basically Jason beating the fuck out of Tim well being all "nothing personal kid I just hate everything about you, your existence and the fact you're breathing right now" and Tim spitting up blood going "what if your mother was a whore, kill yourself" and Jason just deciding right then and there that this kid is his favourite person.
Then it just turned into a Tom and Jerry hunt across the city where Jason keeps hitting Tim with the "join me, be my robin" and Tim kicks him in the balls.
I know Tim is usually portrayed as a "thinks mayonnaise is proper seasoning" white guy, but I love the idea of mixed Tim, especially half east Asian Tim, and even MORE specifically, half Japanese Tim. Idk why it just makes sense in my brain. Every Tim I write is half Japanese in my mind even if it doesn't make it to the final product.
I also like the idea of white passing, half Korean Tim. Imagine everyone thinking he can't handle spice because they've seen Bruce trying to eat takis and he almost died, but Tim grew up with his mother's kimchi which was made to burn through solid steel and has an unhealthy obsession with spicy noodles (think buldak, shin ramyun, etc). This guy could eat California Reapers like grapes without so much as flushing and is honestly terrifying to witness (i guess this scenario would also work with Japanese!Tim, but tbh I know more about spicy Korean food than spicy Japanese food).
It seems a lot of people are misunderstanding the purpose of Klaus’s animation
See, a lot of reviewers describe it as sort of a reverse Paperman, a 2D movie that looks like CGI instead of vice versa, and think the reason it was animated that way was to trick audiences into thinking it was CGI since they wouldn’t accept a 2D-animated film that looks 2D.
But if you look up interviews with director Sergio Pablos, you’ll see that his purpose was NOT to trick people into thinking it was CGI, but to essentially look like an illustration, and give it the same kind of shading, texturing, and detail you’d see in concept art and promotional material.
He didn’t want to bring 2D animation back, he wanted to bring it forward, and take it in a new unique direction that hadn’t been done before, as he believes staying in the past is what caused it to die out. (For instance, he believes The Princess and the Frog wasn’t a big hit because it went out of its way to look exactly like the older Disney films.) Basically, how can you build upon current 2D technology while keeping everything we like about classic 2D animation?
He noticed that in a lot of older 2D-animated films, the characters look like flat-colored stickers against a detailed background, and pointed out that if this was a deliberate stylistic choice, then why do they have so much shading and texturing in the promotional material? Clearly, this was a technological limitation that his team could improve upon, which they did via groundbreaking technology. (I’d share a video about the programs used to do it, but the video was made by Andrew Dobson, and the less I have to do with him, the better.)
Pablos doesn’t necessarily want other 2D studios to do the exact same thing his studio did, but he does hope that other studios will try out with experimenting new tricks with 2D animation in their own way, as there isn’t much you can do with CGI that hasn’t already been done, but there’s a LOT of new and unexplored potential for 2D animation.
Jason using his guns as blunt weapons is so funny like imagine ur getting shot at by the Red Hood, he runs out of ammo, you think you have a chance and he just throws the fucking pistol at you
