Mushrooms and Blooms 2.0 | Sneak peek for my Tumblr loves! <3

A new generation of Mushrooms and Blooms is coming soon to the shop! I just have to name them, haha. The 2.0 is just a placeholder name. I made way too many color variations, as usual. Some are very springy, some have a witchy vibe, some look kinda retro.

I can't stick to one medium or subject to save my life.

Oh well. *shrug*

Mermaid I made back for a portrait challenge called ‘Facetober’ in 2022! Prompts were: coral, red hair, and sunglasses. Which version is your favorite? You might have to click or tap on each photo to see the differences. They're subtle but give off different vibes! I've developed quite a bit since I created these. I might do a redraw. Watercolor Icelandic poppies process pics! I originally took these for friends because I was having a really hard time painting them and needed second, third, and fourth opinions. 😂

Ah, the life of an artist. 😅

I kinda wanna make a mini collection of these in various colors. I had to scrap one because it didn’t translate well after scanning. I guess not all colors are scanner-friendly.

I tried to fix it in Photoshop, but…no dice.

I learned how to paint these in Joly Poa’s Skillshare class! Notice that I said I learned, and not mastered, haha. Again—many, many, tries to get to this point.

Like I said the other day, this will be in my shop soon. Maybe a little later if I decide to make a few more…

Alleanna Harris has been drawing for as long as she can remember. As a little kid, she would draw on every page of her mom's legal pads, her notebooks at school, and on the programs at church. She graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in animation with honors, and it was during this time she realized her love for illustration. Alleanna finds inspiration in the beauty of everyday things. She seeks to create images that are immersive, rich in color, and have a sense of warmth. She lives in New Jersey and is the illustrator of multiple books for children.

Aside from picture books, she has two online stores which feature art prints based on original illustrations, figures from Black history and Women's history, and pop culture.
