“The alley?” Isaac looked towards it and suddenly got a bad feeling. Had Isaac found the little sister of a dangerous man? Well, no matter who her family was it wasn’t safe to leave her by herself in this city. “Do you want me to walk you to your brother? It’s dangerous to be by yourself.”

“Dangerous? Arietta is fine...” She was safe, her brother was watching her so carefully, awaiting her return. A gentle smile adorned the small teens lips as she darted back over towards the alley. “Brother says if Mister is... worried... that he can come closer.”

She was worried, that someone might get scared or hurt her beloved big brother.

The small girl quickly finished her conversation with the lower ranked soldier, ruby hues shifting around slightly at the feeling of being watched. Fingers curled tight into the doll as she locked eyes with the woman. Her brother slowly stepping out from the shadows, butting his head slightly against her before watching the woman as well. 

Walking closer, the petite general looked up. 

“...Does... Miss need something from Arietta?”

Yui wasn’t one to be able to judge people on hair color, seeing as she had a pink haired princess under her care half the time, but seeing a small child with pink hair threw her off. Then again, so did getting violently warped to a different world, no matter how many times it seemed to happen to her now.

She couldn’t help but stare from a distance at the pink haired girl though.

If I go somewhere you come with me, we can travel together” This girl really was hopeless without him but it had been he who extended his hand to her, tamed her and taught her to read and write. 

Just seeing his smiling face looking down upon her... it made her heart swell.  Small hands reached up to touch his cheek, smiling gently back. “Then Arietta will protect Master Ion with all her strength.” No matter how scary or hard, she would protect Ion with every ounce of her being.
