i think its so funny that alumni from schools like harvard and columbia that were there during the protests in the 60s-80s are expressing support for students currently protesting against the genocide in palestine, and random zionists that were NOT at these protests in the 60s-80s have the never ending audacity to tell these alumni "well thats different, what you protested was good and what they're protesting is bad." as if protesters against the vietnam war and apartheid south africa were not also demonized, arrested, brutalized, and even killed for their activism. history only remembers them fondly after the damage has already been done.

I’m ngl I’m always going to find it infinitely weirder for someone to spend time worrying or seething over, or pathologizing and writing essays about other people’s kinks than I’m going to find anybody with a weird kink. There is something so creepy about getting worked up over what consenting adults do with each other and I don’t understand how these people try to position themselves as the “normal” ones when they’re mad because they thought about someone doing something in the bedroom that they personally would not like.

I’m sorry are you kidding? Like are you actually fucking joking? I don’t know if you’re from the US and honestly a lot of people who are don’t even know much about these but between the Kent State Massacre and the Jackson State Killings (both happened in 1970 during student protests) it is REALLY fucking dangerous to be at all encouraging or cheering on police presence and arrests being made during student protests, especially of peaceful protesters, many of whom belong to various marginalized groups that makes them WAY more vulnerable to police brutality!

Protesting a genocide! Is not a fucking hate crime! And it’s extremely worrying to see somebody imply that it is! I have SEEN what this particular protest looks like and it has nothing to do with “menacing Jewish students”, if it did I don’t think there would be Jewish students JOINING AND SUPPORTING THE PROTEST. There is never a good reason to call in the goddamn state troopers for unarmed, peaceful protesters, a fucking journalist was arrested just for BEING there and trying to document what was happening! That’s fucked up! And it’s even more fucked to see someone supporting the use of police force to suppress these students’ rights to free speech and to protest, that’s not something to celebrate, that’s something to be VERY worried about.
