Xiao:

He had to go scout the outskirts of Liyue as part of his duties. Xiao tended to stick to protecting the more populated areas so as to stay nearby in case anything happened, but he couldn’t ignore whole regions of Liyue just because nobody lived in them- Though you’d think they were more frequented by the adeptus than this, given his reclusive lifestyle. Could you really say reclusive if you were by his side now? Surely not, but now he told you he’d be gone for a few weeks while he combed over the lands for demons and trouble alike, and it was a hard pill to swallow.

He knew you’d be...disappointed, but he didn’t expect the response he got at all. You, staring into his eyes with the widest and saddest version of your own, a pout on your lips and loneliness already emanating from you. “But...What am I supposed to do while you’re gone?” You asked honestly.

He blinked. “What do you usually do when I’m not here?”

And without missing a beat, “Wait for you to get back…”

If he needed it to live, Xiao’s heart surely would have failed and sent him straight into the afterlife at your reply. He cursed the ability to get so flustered so easily because of you- A flush took over his face and he had to turn swiftly around to hide it. Xiao sighed to further the ruse, not yet willing to admit the effect you had on him.

“You’re impossible…” He grumbled. Loathsome to admit it, he was incredibly endeared at the sentiment. Even if it was a bit concerning the amount of time you, in his mind at least, wasted on someone with heavy karmic burdens. Still…

After a short pause for Xiao to consider your words, he turned back around and planted a featherlight kiss upon your forehead. He whispered against it words that you felt in your soul to be true. It didn’t make bearing his absence any easier, but it at least reassured you one thing.

“I’ll come back home to you, I promise.”

And you knew he would.

Diluc:

“Just say you don’t love me. It’s okay- We’re all thinking it.”

You supposed you were being a bit dramatic when Diluc told you he’d be gone on a business trip to Fontain for a few weeks, but could anyone blame you? You had Mondstadt’s finest man on your arm! Diluc is an insanely loyal and dedicated man, who only contributed happiness to your life. How could you not be upset at him for leaving you alone in that big empty mansion?

Diluc sighed for the upteenth time that day, setting paperwork down and pinching the bridge of his nose in exasperation. If he knew you’d react like this, he probably wouldn’t have told you so far in advance. But alas...you’re both here now. Well, he’s at his desk, and you’re draped theatrically across the lounge chair across the room.

“S/O, you know that’s not true. I’ll just be gone for a few weeks and that’s it- I won’t even be leaving the market square. I just need to seal this deal for the winery and then I’ll be home.” Diluc explained for what must have been the fifth time, because it felt incredibly rehearsed.

“But what in the world am I gonna do until you get back, huh? The bed is going to be so cold without you…” Your voice had taken on a playful tone up until now, where it turned saddened and lost. Diluc looked up from the papers on his desk to see you sitting up properly, face dejected. His heart squeezed, and swiftly he got up to embrace you.

“I’m sure you’ll find something, dear. I’ll be back as soon as I can, I promise. Just...don’t do anything rash while I’m gone, okay?” Diluc stroked your hair, soothing you just a bit.

“Okay...I’ll wait for you.” You muttered, feeling his lips kiss the top of your head with a hum. It was quiet for the most part now, both of you just reveling in the comfortable silence. Not much could break it.

“Oh, and stay away from Kaeya.”

You smacked his arm for that one.

Chongyun:

It wasn’t every day that Chongyun managed to get ahold of a good lead that wasn’t actually from Xingqiu. A haunted abandoned mansion at the base of a mountain, that was rumored to be causing the nearby village misfortune and misery- And it had a long and extensive history in death and despair to boot. It was an offer and opportunity the exorcist just couldn’t pass up. This could be his big chance!

You understood that he’d be gone a while just for the travel alone, but…

“Are you sure you can’t take me with, YunYun?” You asked, a pout firmly planted on your lips as you followed Chongyun throughout his house. He was packing the bare essentials, not wanting to carry much for such a long distance.

“I’m sorry, but it could be dangerous for you. I’m not sure if my condition would protect you or not.” A perfectly sensible answer, but not the one your heart wanted to hear.

“Well, what am I supposed to do while you’re gone? You’re my best friend!” Both you and him knew you were more than that, but it still applied, and you knew you had him when his lips quirked up in an unwilling smile.

“I’ll be back before you know it, S/O. It’s only a few weeks, maybe even just one depending on how it goes when I get there.” He finally stopped packing to turn to you, and for once actually came over and hugged you. Physical contact was rare, you knew that going into the relationship, so you’d take what you can get.

Leaning into the hug, you soaked up the attention before it disappeared for weeks on end.

“I know...I’ll be waiting for you, YunYun.”

Xingqiu:

“My liege, I’m going to need you to let go of me.” Xingqiu sighed, yet despite his words, he had a good grip on your waist.

“Noooo! Then you’ll leave me and won’t come back for weeeeks!” You whined, burying your face further into his neck and tightening your hold around his torso.

Xingqiu knew this business meeting was coming up for weeks now, but he’d only just managed to tell you a few days ago. Thus, you had no time to prepare yourself for the oncoming lonely days. The days where your lover was off talking business with a few other commerce guilds and merchants of Liyue. It was important work, he’s the heir to Feiyun after all, but would it really do any harm to at least let you come along?

“I know you’re upset, but I can’t take you with me this time- The route is too dangerous, and the topics are strictly confidential. I’m surprised even I’m going along, considering I haven’t inherited yet.” He rubbed your back gently, smirk on his lips despite your upset disposition. Or perhaps because of it...He won’t lie, it felt nice knowing you’d miss him as much as he’d miss you.

“But what am I supposed to do while you’re gone, huh? Prank Chongyun in your stead or something?” You grumbled into his shoulder. He laughed good naturedly at that.

“I wouldn’t mind hearing about it when I come back if you do! Though, I suppose with me gone you wouldn’t have as much fun.” You whined, he continued. “Why don’t you look through my secret stash of books? It’ll give you something to do.”

You gasped, pulling away and looking at him in amazement. “Your stash?! Are you serious? Deal!” And with that, you kissed him and bid him goodbye, rushing off to storm his room for the aforementioned books. Xingqiu chuckled to himself, and went on his merry way.

He’d have to remember that trick more often.

Organized Crime!AU (ft. Childe, Xiao, Zhongli, Diluc, Kaeya & Albedo)

Childe is a high-ranking member of the family, but when he meets you, he falls head-over-heels in love and wants to keep the wicked truth from you. He makes you feel like he’s harmless, even though the people around you know better. If someone is pursuing you a bit too strongly, I definitely see him as the type to put his arm around you and pretend to be your boyfriend (all smooth like, “you okay, darlin’?”). It works, or at least the other person doesn’t bother you again. Little do you know this is because Childe has already had him taken care of.

Unlike Childe, Xiao was born into this world. He’s a contender for heir—hell, maybe even heir apparent—and has to put up a tough exterior (he’s actually a huge softie). I feel like he falls in love with you after seeing your small acts of kindness. You have a flower shop right by the station and he sees how nice you are to kids and little old grannies. He’s smitten before he knows it and inserts himself into your life completely unassumingly.

Zhongli, the boss. Except, he didn’t have this planned. He was kind of wild in his youth and ended up moving up in the organization after a few arrests and deaths. It was kind of a whirlwind, but he takes his job very seriously. Sometimes, just sometimes though, he has some regrets and wishes for a leisurely life. He never remembers to bring his wallet with him so underlings always carry extra cash for his extravagant spending. You’re a new girl at the cabaret club that pays their organization protection money and he’s instantly taken with your bright eyes and shy mannerisms. You treat him like you treat everyone else—with kindness. There’s no special treatment and that makes it all the more special. Until it isn’t. He’ll eventually want to be special and might take extreme measures to “keep your innocence”, like stealing you away from the world.

Diluc is the heir to a rival family that keeps rejecting his father’s attempts at making him the new boss. This is complicated because he’s in love with you, his fiancée, the daughter of an ally, and he knows the only way to keep you by his side forever is to bite the bullet. What brings this on? Maybe he sees some scumbag putting the moves on you. You’re just so polite, just so kind, that, and of course, you laugh back. It’s surely not because you’re interested in that loser or anything. Yeah, he’s all you need, just like you’re all he needs. So, he’ll take over for his father, and he’ll marry you despite any protests, and kill anyone that looks at you for even a second too long.

Kaeya was Diluc’s classmate and is the organization’s lawyer. He’s the black sheep of his otherwise respectable family—all of them lawyers. You’re the quintessential idealist lawyer that went to school with him. You were neck-and-neck in every exam, internship, or project, but you could tell that Kaeya never put his all into it and that infuriates you. It’s these reactions that always has him coming back for more: you’re so pure, so honest, so different from a family that only knows how to keep up appearances. You don’t really go against him in court because you practice in different areas, but once or twice—when it’s obvious it’s really important to you—he’ll use a judge on his payroll to help you out. You’re already his, you just don’t know it yet.

Albedo, the mob doctor. His clinic is neutral territory: no fights or you’re out. He was a respected doctor until his curiosity resulted in some “allegedly” unethical experiments had him fired and stripped of his license. He graduated easily at the top of his class and it shows. You’re a young nurse with too many debts in need of a side job. You’re brought to him by Zhongli after your ex-boyfriend runs away, leaving you to shoulder all his gambling debts. He isn’t kind per se, but he’ll show you that he cares in unexpected ways: covering you with a blanket when you fall asleep reading, keeping your favorite dessert stocked in the fridge. Before long there’s a second rule in the clinic: all eyes (and hands) off you.

daffodil: a cute thing about them

xiao likes to sweep you off your feet -- literally. if you look tired while walking alongside of him, he’ll fall back behind you before lightly placing his hands on your waist. it’s his way of asking for permission for what he’s about to do and, if you don’t protest, the yaksha will use his anemo abilities to lift you up into the air gently, before letting you fall softly into his arms. he’ll carry you bridal style and gaze down at you with utmost adoration in his eyes.

the corner of xiao’s eyes will crinkle if you smile up at him and a rare chuckle will escape his lips if you let out giggles in response to his actions. the two of you will likely walk in silence for a bit, but the adeptus can’t help but steal kisses from you whenever he looks down at your figure, especially when you smile every time he places a kiss on the crown of your head.

xiao will hold you protectively and won’t hesitate to quickly (but gently) let you down from his hold if he senses danger is nearby. however, you laying in his grasp gives you the ability to catch up on some much needed sleep as you’re lulled to sleep by the yaksha’s heartbeat and body warmth. meanwhile, it allows xiao to fulfill his deepest desire of protecting the one he loves most.

He knew something was wrong the moment you approached the Inn

It was like he could smell your blood on the wind

He doesn't wait for you to come up to the balcony, especially when he hears you call his name

Without a single moment's hesitation, he appears before you, wrapping his arm around your shoulders so he can support you

Your lip has a split and blood was smeared along your jaw

Your cheek is also bruised and swollen

He's angry and ready to slay some monsters

But it simmers down when he sees the state that you're in

You're feeling that familiar weight in your chest

The heavy breathing, the trembling, all telltale signs of panic setting him on high alert

He knew them all too well

He whisked you away, not to the balcony but a room

The one that was usually reserved for you should you come to stay with Xiao for any length of time

He sat you on the bed, hesitant to touch you any more than he already has in case it makes your anxiety worse

But as you clung to him, he holds you, unsure of what to do at first

He's angry all over again and you can tell as soon as he tenses up

But he stays with you, not wanting to leave you alone like this

You bet your ass he's keeping you far away from that man

And that man far away from you

He doesn't kill mortals, but if he comes anywhere near you for any reason Xiao WILL be scaring him away

Also will tend to your split lip and bruise accordingly

Will get you whatever you need as well

He senses a disturbance in the force

Honestly the man as a sixth sense

He will immediately know something is wrong before you even approach him

When you do though, and he takes in your dishevelled appearance, he immediately whisks you inside

He cradles you until you calm down, whispering sweet words and running his hand through your hair

He rocks you in his arms gently and will take as much time as it takes to soothe you

Anything that he needs to do to help you down from you panic, he'll do

And even after you calm down enough to tell him what happened

He'll continue to hold you through all of it

Once you finish speaking, he goes and grabs everything he needs for you (i.e. the first aid kit, an ice pack, a glass of water and painkillers, etc)

He holds your face as he examines the cut on your brow

He cleans you up some and places the ice pack over you eye

He's going to be extremely gentle with you

Not to mention he's extremely disappointed

The man that raised and is supposed to protect you????

If your father tries to find you, Zhongli is going to be sure to give him a piece of his mind

albedo

at random times, you get the creepiest feeling about your boyfriend. you can never put your finger on it though.

the unsettling feeling always lurks and you feel almost guilty. it’s not a flight or fight response, nor is it a ‘this dude is weird’ type of feeling. rather, it’s just an odd feeling, like something is off about him.

you’ve never been able to place a finger on it until one day, you keep rubbing at your eye because something is in it. after blinking numerous times, the itchy feeling finally goes away, but you then look at your boyfriend’s eyes, wondering if he saw your little struggle.

albedo didn’t notice, completely transfixed in his book. you stare at him a bit longer. eyes… you think and your mystery is solved.

you now understand why he unsettles you at times.

you watch him in fascination as he reads his book, flipping the pages. you watch him for what feels like eons before you can’t take it anymore. you choose to burst out your revelation about him.

“you don’t blink!” you declare, having thoroughly decided that that was the issue with your otherwise lovely boyfriend.

albedo looks up at you slowly. he makes eye contact with you. and, of course, he blinks.

“what?” the blonde asks confusedly, blinking once more. you let out a deflated little sigh as his blinking schedule appears to go back to normal.

maybe next time you could record a video on your kamera and show him.

The god of freedom certainly lived up to the title. A truly free spirit who only wished the same for others. He shaped the many hills and cliffs of Mondstadt with his own hand, and graciously bestowed his powers unto those he deemed worthy. And yet…there he sat - teetering on the edge of a barstool, completely and utterly intoxicated.

The red-head manning the bar rolls his eyes at the sorry display the archon was creating, and resumes cleaning the glass in his hand. However as a bell rings out - signaling a new patron - he looks up.

You enter the famed “Angels Share”, the best tavern in Mondstadt - or so you’ve been told. Really, you’ll decide that for yourself - is what you think as you slide into an empty seat at the bar. Eager to unwind after a long day of adventuring, you order your drink and attempt to relax.

But really, your night didn’t end how you’d hoped at all. You ended up with a loud and incredibly clingy bard hanging off of your shoulder spouting barely comprehensible rhymes and poems. You would’ve found amusement in the spectacle if you weren’t so tired. Shrugging him off did no good, as he was surprisingly strong for someone so small.

Childe

- out of the three, he is the most likely to get drunk. he would probably be out with zhongli (let’s be honest) and the two are celebrating something, so childe decides to indulge himself in some liquor

- when childe is drunk he gets more flirty, clingy, and touchy so expect him to be holding onto you the moment he sees you. normally, childe already comes off as really flirty so if he’s really drunk, you can probably expect him to be spouting poetry and being mischievous 

- so one night, zhongli shows up at your door, hauling a drunk childe who’s giving you a sheepish grin and telling you how the stars could never match you’re beauty. zhongli probably isn’t drunk, maybe just slightly tipsy but he’s aware of what’s going on and he knows that if there’s anyone who knows how to take care of a drunk childe, it’s you. so he brings the drunk eleventh harbinger to your front steps

- “(y/n) my love! my moon, my stars! nothing compares to thy light!” (idk how to write poetry bare with me)

- zhongli would apologize and pass of childe to you, the man-child grappling onto you and quickly pushing his friend away and shutting the door so it’s just the two of you

- he would definitely try to kiss you the entire time, his hands finding your waist before sliding up to your face so he can bring you in closer for some sloppy kisses as he’s pulling you towards your bedroom

- he’ll be a cocky drunk. he’s going to make some comment about how you’re staring at him and how he knows he’s good looking and how you can’t resist this harbinger

- that will result in you just walking away from him and then childe will complain that you’ve left him and whine for you to come back because he’s too drunk to do other things himself. drunk childe is gonna be a funny childe because he’s going to be looking at you with his arms outstretched making grabby hands to you

- drunk childe also means he’s going to try to seduce you and whether or not it works is entirely up to you. but for the sake of this let’s say he doesn’t. but regardless, he’s still gonna be smoldering you in kisses. so don’t be too surprised when you wake up in the morning to hickeys along your neck

- although he has a hangover, that won’t stop him from teasing you about taking care of him. but you know he means well and he’s very thankful for you and everything you’ve done for him

- when zhongli sees you the next day he will look at you with a calm expression and say “it looks like you had a fun night”

Zhongli

- zhongli getting drunk is going to be a rare thing. the man is usually very composed and aware of everything going around him, so the rare time that he does get drunk is probably going to be out of nowhere

- and you can bet he’s with childe

- drunk zhongli is going to be very soft but he’s also going to be a little more clingy in the sense that he’s going to be speaking to you a lot in your ear and whispering how much he loves you

- unlike childe he’s not going to be trying to seduce you. despite being drunk, he’s going to be somewhat aware of what’s going on and just seeing you is going to make his eyes lighten up

- let’s say xiao is propping up this tall man and pulling him towards your home, knocking on the door as zhongli tells xiao the story of your first day with him. but xiao has heard this story at least 20 times so he’s about two seconds away from dropping zhongli in a river to sober him up (cause xiao’s patience can run thin sometimes)

- the moment zhongli sees you, he’s going to stumble towards you and pull you in for a hug, burying his face into your shoulder as he breathes in deeply. ever the polite companion, xiao will check with you to ensure you’re okay with dealing with the drunk archon before making his leave

- being the wonderful s/o you are, you’d brew a cup of tea for him to drink and help sober up slightly and pull him into the bathroom to clean him up. while you’re doing that, he will have his hands on you at all times, whether it’s wrapping his arms around your waist, or a hand on your back, he’s going to want to make sure you’re close to him

- when you finally get into bed he’s going to pull you in close so you two can cuddle. when he’s drunk he’s gonna want to be the small spoon so you can hold him while you sleep

- when he wakes up the next day sporting a hangover you’d probably cook breakfast for him and cuddle in bed with him. but not after scolding him for getting drunk

Xiao

- (xiao MY LOVE)

- xiao getting drunk will be incredibly rare. as we know, this adeptus is very calm, composed, and can be very cold. so for him to let loose a little bit is going to be very rare

- if he were to get drunk, he’d definitely have to be around zhongli because he knows the man will watch over him just in case something happens. but let’s say the traveller had completed some big mission with xiao’s help and paimon threw a small celebration and xiao decided he would drink a bit

- zhongli, being the caring person he is would encourage xiao to let loose a little bit. you’re also at this little celebratory thing so you’re keeping an eye out for your lover who seems a little bit unsure about drinking

- but once he gets more comfortable and has a couple drinks in him, xiao will probably be at your side for the rest of the time. his hand would be intertwined with yours and when he gets the change, he’d lean his head against you and just revel in being so close

- so drunk xiao would definitely be more clingy and soft. he’s lived for thousands of years and it’s so rare that he indulges himself in simple pleasures so he’d probably try to steal in kisses here and there when people aren’t looking

- when you get back to wangshu inn, or your home, he’s going to have his hand around your waist and glare at any other person who looks your way because when he’s drunk, i’d imagine he might get a teensy bit possessive

- he loves you a lot and for the longest time, xiao has been alone. so he has these insecurities that you’re going to leave him for someone else. and if he voices these concerns while drunk, you’d have to be very soft and kind with him, gently reminding him that you love him so much (i’d do this all day)

- he’ll seek out your touch when you two are preparing to go to sleep. i don’t see xiao as the type to try to seduce you like childe i feel like he would just want to cuddle up close with you and sleep. i feel like he would want to be cuddling with your face pressed to his chest or he’d be the big spoon

- but regardless, he’s going to be very thankful for being with him while he was drunk. i’d think you’d cook him breakfast and just be with him while he’s recovering from the night before and consistently asking him if he needs anything

* Sorry guys but this mans been living in my head rent free

* So the first time you see Satoru it’s with those black specs he likes to wear and you get a glance at those GORGEOUS eyes

* He meets your eyes for a second before looking away, it’s the briefest of interactions

* But your heart is racing and you can feel the familiar heat of attraction starting to lap at your face

* ‘He looks just like a prince’ you think

* You find out pretty fast the ‘prince’ similarities stop at appearance

* “Ah it’s not my fault you’re so weak~” You hear him say with the princely smile as he teases Utahime

* It looks like he’s held something so high she can’t reach it

* “Try your best, if you drink plenty of milk I’m sure you’ll be tall enough one day~” he says before laughing with that same princely face

* “You shouldn’t pick on those that are weaker than you” Geto intervenes, somehow making the entire situation worse

* You watch as Gojo laughs

* You’re starting to think he might be the real curse you need to exorcise

* You continue watching him as Utahime tries to kick him in the crotch

* “You silly girl, did you forget there’s an infinity between us?” Cue Gojo’s “A-hahahahaha” laugh

* Yeah, he’s definitely a demon

* You keep your distance, Gojo’s beautiful and all, but you’re not dumb, you’ve heard about the Satoru clan.

* “Hey Geto-Kun, who do you think would win in a fight me or a lion?”

* Besides that guy is way too reckless, you’d rather not get all mixed up in that if you can help it

* You watch as Satoru takes his shirt off, his well defined chest glistening

* Still, you’re grateful for the show

* Little do you know the famous Gojo Satoru has taken note of you as well

* Naturally given his ability he notices everyone, but he especially takes note of you

* It’s not because you stand out, quite the opposite

* You blend into the background easily, supporting others when needed

* But not to the degree where you unable to defend yourself, or you’re sacrificing your own life for someone else

* He grins

* Looks like he found something interesting

* You’re at the vending machine eyes racking over the drink selection

* But there’s another thirst quenching sight right next to you, their hand resting on the vending machine, that princely smile aimed right at you-

* “So what do you say?” Satoru asks, and you start to wonder if that princely smile seems just a bit wolfish “Do you want to be my lover?”

* You’re kind of annoyed

* What an impetuous question, you can count on one hand how many times you’ve spoken to each other, and you only need both hands to count the words said in each of those encounters

* “No”

* You turn your attention back to your drink choices, it’s pleasant weather so you don’t want anything hot.

* Anything carbonated is out of the-

* Gojo moves closer, peering into your face with that grin

* Ugh does he have to stand so close

* “Why ‘no’? I know you think I’m attractive”

* “I also think you’re a womanizer with a god complex”

* And really why shouldn’t he be?

* He’s probably the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen in your life, not to add the sheer power he contains in that body of his

* But just as he has the right to be a womanizer with a god complex, you have the right not to take part in that narrative

* He backs away, leaning back against the wall

* So he’s not going to deny it

* Well, at least he’s somewhat self aware

* Those clear blue eyes catch yours again, and you have to fight against every human instinct from showing any human reaction

* You turn back to the vending machine making your selection when a smile lilts onto his mouth

* “Friends then”

* “Just colleagues” you reply, grabbing your drink

* But as you walk by you push a canned beverage into his chest.

* It’s a can of green tea

* It’s his favorite drink

* He looks to you seeing a bottle glinting in your hand

* So you didn’t sacrifice your own thirst, but you also didn’t ignore his needs

* He feels that same wolffish grin curl onto his mouth

* “What an entertaining person”

* After that if you’re anywhere within a 50 feet radius of him he’ll go out of his way to get your attention

* “Oh wow, looking especially radiant this morning (Y/N/N)” he’ll say with a playful seductive wink

* When you don’t respond he tries annoying you instead

* “Ah you can’t reach that? Here let me-” and then he’ll proceed to hold it even further out of your reach

* He’s expecting you to jump up and down, or at least give some sort of response but you just walk away

* Well that wasn’t what he expected

* He feels that grin spread across his face again

* Very interesting

* His attraction to you is pretty shallow

* He’s interested you because you’re entertaining

* And you’re entertaining because you aren’t interested

* Which only makes him that much more interested in you

* Its a paradox

* You watch him flounder around, annoying Utahime for a giggle

* Well it doesn’t matter anyway, you know how he is, he’ll get bored soon enough and lose all interest in you

* He’s not the strongest {f*ckboy} for nothing

* You see him turn to meet your gaze, offering a boyish smile and a wink

* You make sure not to give any reaction, turning to listen to something Shoko is telling you

* You hope he can’t sense the twinge of heat you feel on your face

* You’d be lying if you said you didn’t find the attention a little flattering

* I think for the most part you’re right, Satoru is mostly playing around-

* At least at first.

* You’re just something new and fun no one knows about, and wildly entertaining since you never respond the way he thinks you will

* You’re kind, but not at the expense of yourself, and he likes that

* Besides you’ve got this quite sort of consideration for others-

* It’s not flashy, it’s so subtle most people hardly notice

* It’s in the way you bring an extra snack for Utahime when she’s running herself ragged training

* “They were having a two for one special”

* Or the way you’ll get your teacher a plushie you saw at a shop at the station because you know he needs more

* “I just thought it was cute, but I haven’t got any room for another one”

* You’re quiet, someone who hears things and she’s things, but never says anything about them

* A wallflower

* But you’re not weak

* There’s something about those two things put together in the same person that entertains him to no end. Like a paradox or a puzzle he can’t seem to solve no matter how hard he tries

* Satoru’s had at least a hundred lovers, and a great many of them had provided him with their own brand of kindness and consideration

* But he’s never felt something as warm as when he see’s a lunch box in his dorm after he hobbles back from a mission that lasted a little longer than expected

* He peers at the note attached, it’s not even signed but he knows it’s from you

* “I know you think you’re god or whatever, but even gods have to eat”

* He doesn’t know why, but he’s overcome with the urge to cry

* He gulps hard- it’s not like this a lunch you made by hand or anything, it’s just something from the convenience store

* And it’s not like this note is particularly affectionate or special either, he’s gotten entire love letters from his previous lovers

* So he’s not sure why he saves your note, placing it behind a picture frame where only he’ll know it is , or why he thinks that convenience store lunchbox is the most delicious thing he’s ever had

* Even though he knows he cares about you, and that he’s grown quite fond of you -

* I don’t think it clicks for him

* And part of that is because well, he’s Gojo Satoru

* He collects lovers like some people collect photographs or memories

* They serve their purpose, and he lets himself be entertained by pretending all the feelings are real, and then he moves on to the next one

* It’s just what he’s used to

* And this whole paradox you two have going on could go on for a few years until something finally shifts

* He went a little too far with one his half-flirting-half-tormenting pranks

* And for the first time you give him a reaction, it’s only for a second, but annoyance and anger mar you face

* And then just like that, it’s gone and you turn and walk off in the other direction

* Sh*t.

* He went too far didn’t he?

* It should be fine right? You’re not too mad at him right? You’ll get over it-

* Right?

* But for the next few days you don’t speak to him, and you don’t make eye contact

* It bothers him more than it should

* Normally he would be annoyed that his toy would have the gall to blatantly ignore him like this-

* “Ah, could you help me with something?”

* He would quite literally give you the clothes on his back right now if you asked

* You stand up on a a chair holding a glass of water

* “Apparently this is supposed to help with concentration or something” You say pressing the glass full of water to the ceiling

* “Can you hold this broom?” You ask and Satoru nods, holding the broom handle steady as you make sure it’s pushed against the glass holding it steady

* You nod approvingly down at him

* The rest happens pretty fast, you’re off the chair, carrying it away

* “The broom is actually a special grade tool, so cursed energy won’t work on it”

* You grin

* “Have fun figuring how to get out of that Baka Prince!” You say with a laugh

* And Satoru is dumbfounded

* But not because you just pranked him into a holding up a glass of water with a broom

* But because as you were rushing away, you showed him your teasing grin

* It’s the first time you smiled at him

* And as he looks up at the glass of water, a smile slowly spreads across his face

* It’s not the wolffish smile he usually has when he’s around you, or the princely smile he uses when he’s trying to get something

* It’s a genuine smile

* Ah, so that’s it

* He’s fallen in love with you

* If you’re not the one entertaining him, then he’s just not interested

* Ah geez

* He was so focused on trying to get you to fall in love with him that he really didn’t see this coming

tbh, I wasn’t sure how i to start this one. Toji is a character I haven’t really grasped yet, but I hope I did you proud nonnie!!!

Forget

Fushiguro Toji was … enigmatic. A tall, broad-shouldered man, and you’d think he would have a certain presence when he entered a room. But there was nothing; he was a void, someone who was able to sneak into a room unannounced and press a knife to your throat before you knew what was happening.

You had long since come to terms with Toji’s lack of cursed energy, finding other ways to detect when the man was nearby. Whether it be using your own shikigami, or focusing cursed energy into your senses; it was nigh impossible for Toji to be able to catch you off guard.

“To what do I owe the pleasure, Toji?” You hummed, hands working at the reports scattered in front of you.

“Can’t I visit my favorite sorcerer?” The male huffed, leaning against the door frame. His green eyes cast to the ground, Toji was slow to raise his head. The man jumped slightly when he finally met your eyes; you had been watching him since he had arrived. You had a frown on your face, and he realized you had stopped working on your reports as you waited for his answer.

“Damn. You’ve always been able to see right through me, huh?” Toji laughed, running a hand through his hair as his feet brought him towards the large window on the opposite side of the room. You only gave him a small hum in response, still waiting for his answer. Seeing as you probably wouldn’t get one, you rose from your desk and went to stand in front of Toji.

“What is it, Toji? You only ever visit when there’s something on your mind,” you were quick to say, your fingers curling around his wrist to keep him from backing away. Not that I would be able to stop him if he really wanted to leave. Toji huffed out a breath, green eyes refusing to meet yours as his hands grasped at yours. His thumbs traced designs against the back of your hands, a comfortable silence engulfing the both of you.

“If … if I disappear,” he said suddenly, making your body jolt. You lifted your eyes to meet his, feeling your frown deepen. Toji’s gaze flickered all across your face, as if he were trying to memorize every detail about you. One hand came up to your cheek, his thumb brushing the skin below your eye. “Will you look for me?”

“What kind of question is that?” you scowled. “Of course, I’d look for you.”

“Even if I were to forget everything about you? About us?”

“My answer won’t change, Toji.”

“Good,” the man pulled you into a hug, his taller frame engulfing you. “That’s … good, (Y/n).”

Toji was shaking -- whether it was because of the hug or something else, you didn’t know. But you didn’t particularly care, either, wrapping your arms around his back and tightening the hug.

“I broke my rules for you, Fushiguro Toji,” you warned, pulling back just enough to meet his green eyes. “So you better promise me: we won’t forget each other. Got it?”

It was one of Toji’s rare smiles that you got in response, one of those smiles that made him seem years younger. With a press of his lips to your forehead, you finally got an answer out of him.

“Like hell I’d let myself forget you.”
