Tall | Hayden & Lilo
Lilo had a bit of a bad habit of being extremely honest when she felt intimidated.
The words escaped from her lips so smoothly there was no way for her to stop them even if she wanted to. “Wow, you’re tall.” Her eyes widened as she turned her head and moved out of the bar. She only went there to see if Nani had gone in anyways.
Hayden was on his way out of the bar to attend a meeting and narrowed his eyes at the sound of a voice he did not welcome to begin a conversation with. “And you’re already annoying me. We’re not here to point out obvious things” he shot back and lit up a cigarette while he waited for his car to be brought around.
Yep, certainly time to leave. She wasn’t great with confrontation after the whole bullying thing, so she knew when it was her cue to get out of a situation as quickly as possible. Nani wasn’t here, to begin with, so she should head home.
“Uhm, have a nice day sir.” She said as an attempt to be polite.

Lost girl | Anita & Lilo

“Excuse me miss-” Lilo called out to the teacher that was in her office. She couldn’t get used to the paper map she was given, and without her phone, she couldn’t rely on technology either. “I’m looking for the photography room? I am attending summer classes. My name is Lilo Pelekai.”
“Miss Dearly. It’s actually a few floors down in the basement, you can’t miss it. It’s the only room with an eerie red light coming from it. I don’t know the number offhand, I just know it’s in the basement. Everything else is probably just offices. I’m sorry I can’t help more. I might have the photography professor’s email, if you’d like me to ask? You’re welcome to wait in my office.”
“Nice to meet you Miss Dearly.” Lilo smiled at her, her foot tapping on the ground, her head nodding to acknowledge she was listening to what Anita is saying. “Eerie red light - got it.” She wasn’t sure if she had to meet her teacher in the photography room or somewhere else. “If you could, could you maybe message the professor and ask them if I am meant to meet them there?” She had received information that she had to come to the school on this day yet not the location. Or Nani simply forgot. “That would help thank you.”
She took notice of the dalmatian. “Oh, what’s their name.” She wasn’t sure if the dog was female with how it was positioned.
Anita smiled and leaned back in her chair. “Of course, please sit down.” She said before clicking a few times and finding the photography professor. She’d never met them but she had a directory of all the staff. It was all the work of two minutes. She glanced at her dog, gnawing contentedly on a rubber toy. “Her name is Penny. I chose it because her spots used to be the size of pennies. As she grew however, they did too.”
“What brings you to school early though? Class hasn’t started yet. Are you doing an independent study? You seem a bit young for it, but I could be wrong.”
Lilo listened to the teacher and sat down, taking notice of the papers on her desk. This must be fashion? Though she enjoyed looking at fashion, she could only picture herself taking photographs of it. “Sorry if this question sounds random, but does the photography club at times get to use people from the fashion department?” It would be interesting to see the progress of both students. And Lilo was the queen when it came to mini-projects.
“Penny is very cute, and I love how you decided on the name.” She softly placed her hand on Penny, the girl was quite sweet didn’t growl even though she was a stranger.
“I have a case of anxiety that came from bullying in my other school, I asked the school permission to give me some summer classes so that I can get used to the school and won’t be too anxious on my first day.” She explained. “That and I just love photography so much I don’t feel like I waste my vacation like this.”

What was it today with people crossing her path and cursing? As Lilo continued her walk, one of the things she did to get rid of her bubbling energy she noticed quite a few people who like her had been quite unlucky. “You sure? I don’t mind helping?”
“Trust me I’m all good” she said before saying “but if you wanna help me you can take this flannel off of my hands I don’t like it anymore.”
“Alright if you are certain.” When the girl said she could have the flannel she smiles. “Are you sure, because once you give it to me it’ll become a thing in my photography project. I’m Lilo by the way, aside from the curcumstances we met in, nice to meet you- uhm?”
“Use it however you please or dump it in a dumpster that’s fine too” she said shrugging before saying “Likewise, so tell me about your chipper self”
“No way this is like gold for photography. Heck, you can never go wrong with Plaid.” Honestly, she was so excited by a simple piece of fabric. She shook her head as if checking if people listened in. “I’m secretly a superhero.” She chuckled. “Nah I’m just a very hyper girl with a passion for taking pictures. And dancing I LOVE dancing and music. Not too keen on movies though.”

Lilo saw what the guy did yet found herself a bit unable to care too much about it. It wasn’t her responsibility to point fingers to people, and it wasn’t like she stole it herself yet she couldn’t help but shout “You’re a bad boy!” the moment he drove past her. She shook her head and continued to walk further.
There was something about the way the girl shouted at him that he was a bad boy that made Tobias slow down. It wasn’t something he found insulting, it was rather funny. He’d never been referred to as a bad boy before. “No,” he shook his head, looking back, with a slight little smirk, “not bad, lost.”
“Sure, whatever you say man. If you are lost why don’t you bring back the stolen good and you won’t be as lost as when you become a bigger boy and you go to jail or end up having to pay a fine you can’t afford.” This was a serious offence, and she wouldn’t joke about it. “Lost doesn’t give you any right to steal.”
Tobias shook his head a little as she seemed to think he literally meant that he was lost. “You know that place is full of things people think are junk and don’t want anymore, right? Someone looked at that journal and said it wasn’t worth anything, so they gave it away. I’m just finding it someone who will love it. That’s all.”
“Still doesn’t give you any right to steal it.” Lilo shook her head. “You can’t win this argument with me, It’s my opinion you did a bad thing, and therefore I think you are a bad boy.” She shrugged. “Deal with it, because I’m not gonna.”

Honestly, it really seemed like her luck was failing her lately, almost as if she was cursed. She broke her phone which was a memory of her parents. She tripped over garbage trying to help a lady get her papers back, and now she slipped in the park and scraped her arms. She was so tired right now, and she didn’t want to get scolded the moment she got home, so she decided to go for dinner. Yet they told her she had to return seeing her jacket was too dirty.
