10 Uncommonly Used Filipino Words

1. Cellphone (Telepenong Selular) - A  Phone with access to a cellular radio system so it can be used over a wide area.

Example: Malapit nang maubos ang baterya ng aking teleponong selular Kaya papahingahin ko muma it.

2. Earphone (Pang-ulong Hatinig) - Allow you to listen to audio or watch a movie/video without disturbing people around you.

Example: Ang Sarap makinig ng musika gamit ang pang-ulong hating.

3. Email (Sulatroniko) - A system of sending written message electronically from one computer to another.

Example: Tuwing linggo nagpapadala kami ng sulatroniko sa aming guro na may nilalaman ng mga kasagutan.

4. Calendar (Talaarawan) -  A chart showing the days, weeks and months of the year.

Example: Ang aking kaarawan ay sasalubungin sa araw ng biyernes ika-21 ng Mayo na nakasaad sa talaarawan.

5. Airplanes (Salipawpaw) - are transportation devices which are designed to more people and cargo from one place to another.

Example: Tumitingin ang aking kapatid sa himpapawid tuwing may dumadaan na salipawpaw.

6.Eclipse (Duyog) - an obscuring of the light from one celestial body to another celestial body.

Example: Marami Ang namamangha tuwing sasapit ang duyog.

7. Window (Durungawan) - an opening wall, door, roof or vehicle that allows the passage of light and may also allow the passage of sound and sometime air.

Example: Tuwing umaga nakikita ko sa aming durungawan ang mga batang nagbebenta ng pandesal.

8. Car (Batlag) - A motor vehicle/automobile used for transportation.

Example: Ang Ganda ng batlag na minamaneho ng aming kapitbahay.

9. Wallet (Kalupi) - A small, flat case that can be used to carry such small personal items as paper currency, credit cards, and etc.

Example: Wala nang laman ang kalupi ni tatay dahil ginastos nya pambili ng bisikleta.

10. Browser (Panginain) - Used to access and view websites.

Example: Sa panginain mo mahahanap ang mga kasagutan ng iyong katanungan ukol sa iyong mga pagtataya.
