Right, I mean it now. The e-mail associated with this account will self-destruct when I graduate, so I'm switching to my old account (the username is much cooler),

could you talk more about the male disney villains being queer coded with stereotypes?
Tumblr media
Pink hair bows.
Many male Disney villains are what we would call “camp.” Effeminate, vain, “wimpy” and portrayed as laughable and unlikable. Calling upon common negative stereotypes about gay men, these villains are characterized as villainous by embodying these tropes and traits.

Think about it: Often Thin/un-muscled figure, heavily inked and shadowed eyes (giving the impression of eyeliner and eye shadow?), stereotypically “sassy” and/or manipulative, often ends up being cowardly once on the defensive, many have comedic male sidekicks (such as Wiggins, Smee, Iago, the…snake that isn’t Kaa)

Get Fox Farm honey. They don't give them sugar syrup, they get their own honey back.
Tumblr media
Apparently some vegans are telling people not to eat honey to support bees. STOP. STOP NOW. DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW BEES WORK? Buy honey (local if possible) -> support beekeepers -> support bees. I swear people don’t even think this stuff out.  Beekeepers provide bees with an environment in which they can live, and are encouraged to thrive. Bees then have a big huge giant person who can deal with any threats to the hive.  Yes, honey is a winter food supply for bees, but beekeepers (unless they’re dicks, in which case they’d be shooting themselves in the foot) will NEVER take too much honey from a hive, and will always ensure that bees have enough food. Think about it, you’re not going to starve a source of income/hobby, are you? So now. Support beekeepers. Support bees. buzz.

WITH MY CARROT, AND MY CEEELEEERRYYYY!
This happens if you show me porn too.
Whenever someone dramatically appears on screen or in art, my brain declares, “It is I!  Captain Vegetable!”
This is why you should never watch serious movies with me.

I think the posts on how they screwed up was saying it wasn't historically accurate for Kristoff to be white, rather than Sami people today aren't white.
Still, important post is important.
Tumblr media
I really wish people on this site would stop speaking on behalf of the Sami culture. I am Sami. I was born and raised in Norway (Where Frozen takes place.) I know alot of other Sami people. I am white and blonde. I look like Kristoff. Most of my Sami friends are also white. We are white. When people say that Disney “fucked up” by making Kristoff white because “they aren’t white” it hurts me because I am and a lot of other people are too.     Most of my Sami friends- most Sami that I know, actually (Not that I’m speaking for everyone, just from my experience living in Norway and growing up around other Samis) loved this movie. I LOVE that they had a Sami composer come in to do the intro. I LOVED all the little references to our culture. I didn’t feel “cheapened” or “appropriated” or whatever people are trying to say. Our own president, Aili Keskitalo, LOVED the movie. The movie is going to be shown at Skábmagovat, a Sámi movie festival in Finland. Most of us (from what I’ve gathered) really liked this movie.     You all tell white, straight, cis people to “check their privilege” and to “not speak on behalf of PoC,” but so many people who are not of my culture are speaking on behalf of us and I find it very hypocritical. Most of you had never even heard of the Sami culture until this film.      So please. Put down the virtual pitchforks and just enjoy the movie.
