"I reported her because she was posting NSFW without mature labels which is against TOS!!!" you'd narc on someone for having their tits out at a gay bar because it's illegal you simply are not trustworthy

it is wild that the top post in #gay is a closeup shot of a hairy butt not marked sensitive but if a trans woman even says that shes a trans woman the post immediately gets blasted into the void by staff.

i also think in general we should be open and frank in discussing gender and yes, that includes lighthearted jokes, even if they make people uncomfortable--and to be quite honest, i think if you're making cis people uncomfortable with the way you talk about gender you're probably doing something right

Remember this??? Remember when tumblr fired all its staff and announced it was gonna function going forward on a skeleton crew…glad they still think it’s worth their tiny crew’s time and effort to wage a war against trans people, making the site virtually unusable for us, one of their previously most loyal demographics

you are 16. you are talking with a gay man in his 50s or 60s, a friend, huge and gentle with a scarf and short fluffy curls of gray hair, who has directed you in two plays staged in your mid-size artsy town. (he has not yet asked you to be in his production of The Laramie Project which will change your life. this conversation will also change your life.)
he is talking about theatre. he is talking about theatre when he was younger. he says, "of course, it was AIDS then." in the pause, you ask him. clumsy and quiet and 16 and "straight," you ask him. what was it like.
he takes a moment in which his face is not like a person's face. "there was a time," he says, "i'm not sure how long, years. when i went to a funeral every weekend." he tells you about two funerals in a day, and choosing between friends when you couldn't make it to both. he does not look at you, he looks at them. his wet grey gaze is so clear that you start to see ghosts. it will be years before you understand why it feels like your grief too. why the ghosts call you family.

I added a new pride flag to VGAPride: it's the Tumblr Pride Flag! This variant is local to Tumblr and was invented sometime since December 17th, 2018, and is used to celebrate your pride in the fact you're a trans woman on Tumblr and are about to get permanently banned for life.
Here it's displayed on my Pentium-75mhz running DOS 6.22.
(user was banned for this post)

How intimidated do you think trans women on this site feel to even speak up about their being banned at all anymore after what the CEO did to predstrogen and the ways that staff has continued to allow administrative punishment of random trans women, who rightfully email staff asking why they got murked, who in response get an email typed by an actual human person waving their hand around going, ohh don't you recall? You were weird and sexually strange once. I know you know what you did. You've read our TOS. You know we have rules against being sexually strange. You are so naturally implicated in your own execution that we won't waste our breath even explaining why this happened to you. Don't worry, this wasn't random- this was premeditated by a real human person and we've all reached a rational conclusion together, us here at staff and what could have just been one spiteful person or an army of TERF Pinkertons, and we find your assuming of the latter to be quite disrespectful. Think of all the kind, compassionate people on staff who're wishing really really hard that this kind of stuff stops happening. Think about how sad they must be that you're saying all this mean stuff about them. They're just following orders!

Love Palestine more than you hate Israel. Love trans people more than you hate transphobia. Love the poor more than you hate the rich.
Always love who you fight for more than you hate those who you fight against. Otherwise when the Uniting Enemy is gone, you might start to hate as well.
Anger is part of revolution, but love is too.
Edit: Some people are misunderstanding this post so let me clarify. I do not mean you should not be angry at them, in fact I believe you should be very angry, I mean there needs to be some love in the mix so your anger won’t be manipulated. If your *only* driving force is anger then that anger can be flipped around to hate the very people you are trying to help. This is why a lot of media uses anger, it’s a powerful emotion. But as I said, if all you got is how mad you are at one person and not how much you care about someone else a shock inducing headline about the “barbaric Palestinians” can pull you in.

women are taught “don’t send nudes if you don’t want them to get leaked”
men are never taught “if a woman feels comfortable enough to send you a nude photo, keep it to yourself. leaking it could put her in danger.”
if you don’t see the issue here, you’re a fucking moron.
