fun fact: when i was a kid, i read this book called The Mysterious Benedict Society which involved the main character taking a test where the answers to the questions in the first part are hidden in the questions in the last part, and vice-verse

so with only the title of the episode to go on, when Deja Vu started with difficult trivia questions, i assumed the twist was going to be similar and later in the episode, they'd start getting questions like "What is the atomic number of Francium?" and "What is Ouagadougou the capital of?" and "What year did Alexander Solzhenitsyn win a Nobel Prize, and what category was it in?"

and then the video game and the ducks and the podium inspection happened and i had to completely re-evaluate

Despite being the only song out of 31 with an a singular hook in it, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” is a ludicrously horrible song that I can’t believe made it past a PR team. Does Taylor Swift know that other people also experience breakups, divorces, grief, and any other great tragedy you can think of and have to continue to work 40 hours minimum a week or else they may lose their livelihood? Is she expected genuine shock or sympathy from people that she was broken up with before going on a tour that made her billions of dollars?

I can try to be generous in my reading, that maybe it’s supposed to be a relatable song for anyone who has to continue to work through difficult periods of their life, but it’s really not. The song itself is entirely self-congratulatory and as always really only about Taylor Swift.

I’m sure the breakup was hard, but does she know that she never has to work another day in her life?

It’s almost impressive that this deep into her career she continue to outdo herself with tone deafness. Like any other billionaire, she doesn’t just want to win capitalism by any means necessary, she also wants you to applaud her for it.
